Can't wait to try your recipe! I do have my own secret recipe ~ instead of whole milk, I use unsweetened coconut milk and I add a crushed up peppermint candy which makes it turn pink!
I just made Chai Tea Latte following your recipe, and I must say WOW! I can’t believe I have been paying so much for this at coffee shops, being that I can make it at home and enjoy it every day. Thank you so much for sharing, I loved it! ❤
Love how it came out, can’t get enough!
Just made it today and WOW !!! Thank you for the recipe ! Blessings
This is how i have been making it for years and it's delicious. Only thing I changed recently was the milk. Now I use unsweetened almond milk bit a bit of honey and still tastes delicious
Nice to hear from you:) I’ve never tried almond milk. I should give it a try 😋
It turns out very tasty with honey!
Can’t wait to try this ✅
I made it it over and over. So good!
I tried making this recipe a few times in different ways and here's how I got the best result. Roughly grinding the spices definitely brings out a lot more flavor, otherwise it seems like you'd have to boil for a very long time to get flavor. I used like 3-4 star anis and roughly ground them in a food processor, used 4-5 cloves instead and put a good pinch of freshly ground black pepper on top. I feel like adding more star anis just makes the chai tea taste more sweet, aromatic and delicious but maybe that's personal taste. I used one large tablespoon of assam black tea. I put half a teaspoon each of finely ground ginger and cinnamon because my local store didn't have them whole and I added them a bit later since they are so finely ground. I boiled the ingredients until it the water had reduced by like half. Then added whole milk and heated it up until almost boiling while stirring the whole time. Strained through a very fine sieve. It was amazing and so flavorful.
I followed this but with a loose leaf chai tea instead of the individual spices and wow this made the most amazing chai tea ive ever had!
Thank you , recently I have done some experiments and I’ll share them on this channel soon. Thanks for you comments, made me happy that it was useful to someone.
Oh my gosh your personality is awesome i love how you used the herbs this video is so much better than amy other videos thank you
Thanks!!! Great recipe and easy. I always crush the spices before I toast them and I add syrup and soya milk. Served together with ginger nuts. Perfect!!!!!
I make it like this but without the ginger and anise. I love the spicy heat of the black pepper with the other spices...So good!
My aunt used to make it for me, absolutely LOVE it
Nice 😊
Excellent recipe this much better and good flavor, thanks for sharing a wonderful chai tea latte.
O am glad that you liked it. Have you seen my last video. I made another chai flavoured latte with a twist. My invention though 😬🧪🧫

My fav masala tea” ..with star anise on it..thx for the recipe
Ngl this shit is amazing! I’m tired of $5 lattes that taste waaaaayyyy too sweet.
Made this, first try, and it’s bomb! Waaaayy better than anything I’ve had at Starbucks, Pete’s, Philz, or local roasting hipster cafes.
I upped the cloves, boiled for a bit longer, and used white sugar.
Will be experimenting with less sugar and also oat milk.
I will try it
Your instruction is so easy to follow. Thanks for sharing.

🔥🔥🔥
Adding orange blossom honey to my Chai is awesome!
Sounds great
I like the idea of roasting the spices first! I’m sure it’s a good idea. I’ve never had Starbucks version, because I doubt if it’s good.
It’s good, just entirely too sweet.
I really enjoyed this tea! I didn’t have anise on hand but will try again with it. I substituted milk for unsweetened almond milk and it was great. I will definitely make this part of my morning routine. Thanks again
Sounds great!
Thanks a lot. I randomly tried Chai latte here in a cafe in Nuremberg (Germany ).
I felt love with it. Thanks a lot. I can makr it home now 😍

He's abundant with those real spices, the easiest accessible here are the powdered ones 😅
Just made it and it turned out great!!! It is much better than Starbucks, stronger and not so much sugar (:

@@welovefoods Update: I made it this morning i subbed honey with maple syrup loved it thank you. Will definitely make it apart of morning routine from now on
I love masala tea!!!
We too
Thank you.
I enjoy chai very much. I make mine with almond milk. I just shared a homemade almond milk recipe, super tasty.
Thank you.
It would have to be pretty bad not to be better than Starbucks. Years ago, I was shown how to make chai. Pretty much the same way as you have but with my method you make black tea with the spices added then while the tea is hot add milk equal to the volume of tea. Bring it to an early boil, let it cool. Repeat this two more times before drinking. Mine had no foam on top. Delicious. I think the boil/cool process maybe developed or brought out the milk sugars because it seemed sweetish as it was. When my husband and his friends went to spend a day in the woods chopping firewood, cross country skiing, fishing or hunting, a major quantity of this treat was requested along with a box of molasses cookies. I now have to watch every gram of carb I consume and have made it using heavy (whipping) cream (diluted) but it isn’t quite as good which makes me believe the lactose in milk but absent in the cream comes through by heating/cooling. Thanks. I will be making this tomorrow.
I think the technique you mentioned it’s very similar to the shop once, they usually boil few times. Really appreciate you for sharing this ;)
I love indian chai! it taste sooo good!
I will soon make a upgraded recipe, any recommendations?
@@welovefoods ummm I dont understand? can you try an explain it in a diffrent way? sorry
Hu Ma we are playing to make a new chai t video but a bit easier one, If you have any recommendations;)
You can also add sahlep into this, yumm🥰
Nice 👍🏼
TEA TEA
This I have to try. Most of these drinks are better with honey.
Thats right, I love it with honey too. But sometimes I would still use sugar 😋
What did you just say? Chai Tea?! Chai means Tea! You're saying Tea Tea! What would I ask you for some Coffee Coffee at the top of the Cream Cream!?
What is the 2 cloves?
Starbucks still the best coffee thumps up
Also, can you make a video about how to make Kashmiri chai? I have the ingredients and tried to make it but it did not came out as expected in regards of taste.
Sure I will do that. Thank you.
I had an Indian grandfather who made this 'chai' with all those same ingredients, EXCEPT Anis..replace this with fennelk seeds..it tastes a whole lot better !!! Just saying..
Nice to hear that, I love when people also shared their version of the recipe with a story like this, and that’s the beauty that there are so many ways of making things, there is still a lot to discover, explore, and try😋👌🏻
How much fennel do you add instead of the anise?
Interesting. I have a bag of fennel seeds just sitting there. Will try it tomorrow
I think I may have boiled too much because it’s just a strong black tea taste. None of the other spice flavors come through ):. I’ll try again tomorrow. Also I used a cezve
everyone this is my way of making chai give me some feedback
1 teaspoon of cinammon powder
1 teaspoon of ginger powder
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of black pepper
3 teaspoons of Black tea
4 teaspoons of sugar
4 crushed cardamoms
2 cups of water
1 cup of milk
Sounds good 👌🏼 I’ll try that next time 😋
We Love Food thanks bro
Ground pepper or peppercorns? I add cassia buds and cloves in addition to the Ceylon cinnamon. If your black pepper is ground, I don’t use so much but I do add a few peppercorns. I love spices.
@@amieinnovascotia8490 I used black pepper powder but after using this recipe for long I realised it is too strong so I started using this recipe ruclips.net/video/ptrblJdZT6I/видео.html
It’s always good to experiment, sometimes I make without any peppercorn.
I just made this and it tastes so good on a cold rainy day, anyways does masala tea uses a spesific type of tea? I heard that it's best to use CTC or Assam Tea, I'm confused, I hope youll reply to my question, thanks!
Thank you for asking, it’s not essential to use spastic tea, any black tea is good, as you are already adding so much flavour in it..
@@welovefoods i see thank u for answering my question
Potato Chips you are welcome.
Tip: boil for at least 8-10 mins at low flame that makes it perfect...
Yes 👍🏼
This is exactly how I make it after watching about 50 videos, except star anise is optional
in my 21 years of existence, I've not had this kind of tea !!!
Enjoy 😉, I’m 35 and still I find things I’ve never tried 🤓 trust me you will like it. 🤔I hope you like it 😬
Ohhh, you kids! I’m 70 and there’s still a world of good stuff out there to be discovered. The world has shrunken in the past 50 years and so many cultures have so many good things to offer.
I have a great expectations about this. But for me is like cinnamon tea. I haven’t never tried tea chai. I think I should evoid to say this like Chandler about the dogs, 😂😂😂 but I thought this is going to taste wonderful. Anyway I believe this is helthier than coffee, so maybe try another tea chai latte recipe. Or less cinnamon maybe?
You can avoid the spices you don’t like or not available. Still it will give an interesting taste.
Starbucks chai tea latte is horrible, Caffè Nero chai tea latte is the best!!! 😍 However, I shall try your chai recipe. It looks delicious!
Thanks for the compliment bro 😉
The best tea hands down, get your tea & latte fix. I also like to add caramel also.
that shit good
Thank you for your comments:)
Chai means tea
Chai tea is a repetition
I add in coconut milk, black pepper, turmeric, nutmeg, clove
Then add some lemon grass and malay curry powder once it boils add you fried marinated chicken 🍗, don’t forget to add salt...
We Love Food 😂
lol I was kidding obviously 🤪
Hello, I have ground cardamom. Can I still use it and how much for this recipe?
Sure, use just a pinch at the end. It gives nice aroma.
CHAI MEANS TEA YOUR JUST SAYING TEA TEA
How many tea bags would you recommend
For one portion I would use 2 Tea bags.
How long do you reckon until Fran grant is
Do you mean “Fran grant” the writer?
We Love Food oops I meant fragrant. How long does it usually take till you smell the aroma?
😃 as soon as you put hot water in them you can already smell. Feel free to watch my latest chai latte there we cooked 2 minutes and it was done. Toasting is optional. Also tea or tea bag or coffee can be used. 😋
Would this taste the same if using Black Tea bags?
Yes, but use 2 tea bags per portion. I find loose tea is twice the strength of tea bags. I hope that it was helpful 😅
Here in India you will get 15 cups chai for 1$.
Wow 🤩
Hi .. when did u put the honey ? Is it when it boiled or after u strained it ?
I always put honey just before drinking. Never boil honey 🍯 because it ruins the nutrients. Thank you and enjoy 😉
I loveeeeee Chai tea!!!! Was wondering if anyone knows a different tea that I would be able to use instead of black tea? I’m looking for something without caffeine like Black tea!
Hi, look at your local supermarket, they may have decaf black tea. Thank you.
For the last time, Chai means Tea! You're just saying Tea Tea!
This looks exactly like east african tea.
Wow really. Good to know that, is there any recipe you can share, I will love to watch and make african version...
@@welovefoods I asked my neighbours to teach me this tea and it was exactly this recipe. And they told me they drink it in several countries in east africa.
So happy 😀 to hear that.
Yes it's true. The Indians brought the recipe there with them when the British brought them to East Africa as indentured labourers in the 19th century.
To be fair, anyone’s chai is better than Starbucks. Just facts...
lol yeah because people do it as passion and sturbuks for money 💰
was it a whole milk? what type of milk do people in the UK and US use for this type of latte? Does people in the UK and US calls it chai latte? or chai tea latte?
😂 everyone says what’s written in the shop menu.
Can I substitute the whole milk for soy milk or oat milk?
Soy milk works fine 👌🏼
What other sweeteners besides regular sugar or honey would taste good?
I prefer not using any artificial sweeteners, try any frut syrup or coconut milk 😜
Mishri, jaggery, stevia
Jaggery
Coconut sugar might be nice if you need sweetness.
