Oh my word, your daughter mimicking you and chattering away is ADORABLE. And people are always so surprised when I tell them my dad used to give us watermelon, milk and ice in a bowl as a snack! (It's like bingsoo with less steps lol!) The last time I had an avocado smoothie was from a viet restaurant and now I'm craving it again. GREAT video!
As a kid my grandmother gave me "peaches in milk" basically chopped fruits (usually peaches or nectarines) toped with sugar and milk or cream. Eaten like cereal. Sometimes there were IceCubes. Never heard of anyone else doing anything like it though.
Late tip, but there's a thing called "hit the ice" to help separate the layers in a drink! When pouring the next layers, aim at the ice to get a better separation! But, also oat milk is a dense liquid, so keep in mind what you are laying first!
How darn precious was it when she waited patiently for you to take a sip before she did!!! Her manners are impeccable that’s great parenting right there 😍😍
From my experience working at a boba shop, add the first layer, then ice (make sure it goes a bit above the first layer), then the second layer to get that “layered” drink effect. Hope this helps! :)
The coffee looked delicious but then the cheese foam made me wish I could run out and get one. Thank you for sharing. I can’t leave without telling you your little girl is adorable.
OMG, they all look so good. I want to try the strawberry one with green tea...YUM! As for your watermelon one, try slowly pouring the milk over the back of a spoon to keep the separation between the watermelon and milk.

I like drinking low carb things I dont like using regular sugar or cane sugar. I will use honey occasionally in my tea or matcha. Try to make them low carb. I’ve always seen avocado smoothies at pho restaurants... I’m gonna try to make it here at home! As a mexican I always have avocado and condensed milk (lechera) around!
as a boba barista, we get the two drinks (like the oatmilk and watermelon) to stay ‘separate’ by shaking the first flavor with sugar/honey/simple syrup and then pouring the second over that in the serving cup and trying to focus the flow of the drink on one ice cube, preferably near the edge of the cup. hope this helps! loved the video, keep up the great cuisine!!!

I just made the Watermelon Bubble Milk and it's super refreshing! I put the oat milk into my shaker to create the bubble foam. Thanks for the yummy idea!

I'm really glad you're not afraid to show your mistakes and solutions in the video! I'm a big fan~ I can't wait to order the cook book! It looks SUPER cute!
You separate the oat milk from the watermelon juice by using a spoon when pouring the milk. Instead of the milk being poured into the juice, it doesn't "hit" the juice, so it's stable at the top. That's how I learned to do Irish coffee. By not pouring the cream directly on the coffee, but a spoon and then moving it to the side.
Hey, loved your video! I went to bartending school a long ti e ago, and they taught us to pour over the back of a spoon when layering drinks. Try that with your watermelon oat milk drink. Good luck!
I've always been curious about the cheese foam but I've never purchased it before because I'm worried I won't like it. I'll definitely try to make this at home!
I used to work at a boba shop to make the colors separate you have to put less watermelon juice before the ice and then REALLLYYY pack in the ice on top. the milk will sit on the ice.
Never heard of vietnamese coffee before, so I tried it and it is really one of the best coffees I have ever had. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
We also always grew up with the avocado smoothie and still have it. (With or without the boba.) we’re trying the watermelon one without the milk. *will make and edit after we make it!*
9:44 slow pour the milk over a spoon turned upside down and touching the inside edge of the glass, to get the layered effect, very easily. helps to airate the milk a little with that little whisk thing she uses to mix up the mocha powder.

I've found that using a spoon to help layer works pretty well. Put the spoon in the glass, angled with the tip of the spoon against the wall of the glass, then pour slowly onto the spoon. Spoon should be just barely touching the first layer. ^^
When I bartended and made black and tans, you poured it over the back of a spoon to keep the two liquids separated. Maybe that will work with the watermelon drink!
