The cardboard box that you have is ideal for fooling your enemies. It’s a very important tool for infiltration missions. I can’t begin to count the number of agents whose lives were saved by a cardboard box. Look I’m not exaggerating when I say the success of your mission hinges on how you use that cardboard box. But in the end, a cardboard box is only made of paper. Handle it with care or it won’t be of much use to you. Don’t think of it as just another box. Treat it with love... Don’t be rough. Okay?
The sandbox is organically designed to allow the creation of emergent forms of gameplay, and also allow the enemies to adapt to the tactics used by players, the enemies adopt new weapons and gear, use vehicles and emplaced machine guns and mortars, helicopters, snipers, rocket launchers, grenades. I've been playing the same game for the last 3 or 4 years, extreme difficulty, enemies are real devils, quick and deadly, good in using cover and staying out of sight, they are hunters.
The one thing that bothered me about MGS5 that’s minor is the fact that snake does keep his weapon at the ready. Like I know he uses both of his hands a lot but he could always let his weapon hang before he acts but when he’s moving around and sneaking, he should have it ready to use. Not aiming down the sight but just at the ready.
@@marine12324 You mean "he doesn't keep the weapon in his hands"? You're right, it also bothers me, it was a staple of the franchise. Turns out that the operators were able to infiltrate-and then escape the base without getting spotted by the guards. We really need a movie like Metal Gear Solid. Something that features a lone operative sneaking into enemy territory while occasionally getting into fights with henchmen.
Boss get down! thats an enemy gunship... one burst from that machine gun could tear a man in half. stay low and crawl along the ground. that should enable you to sneak past enemies
I always thought that Metal Gear Solid V did open world stealth the best, and I’m really hoping more games incorporate it’s features. If Ghost of Tsushima will ever get a sequel, it would benefit a lot from borrowing elements from MGSV.
I mean did anyone ever think they WERE realistic? The whole series is utterly ridiculous--in a good way, to be clear, but it's the OPPOSITE of something you'd get a feeling of versimilitude from.
I love MGS4 probably the best aged remake of all the the previous metal gear characters. It’s probably why I got so emotional seeing snake age so quickly.
Ok, 1:30 in and it's all wrong, Snake didn't even know there were weapons being developed there, he was just there to rescue 2 old dudes and see if they could launch a nuclear strike, both premises were ridiculous. Firstly, never in the briefing we are giving an extraction location for the guys, but that's ok because the plot just ganks them, in the real world such a mission would be a nightmare, you'd at the very least need two teams, possibly four to extract those VIPs, a single soldier? How was he ever gonna get two old men outta there, was he gonna carry them in his pockets? Secondly, no they couldn't launch a strike because the place is suppose to be a disposal facility, that means no rockets and no silos, if anything at best they could be worried they might be able to get a nuke operational and either move it from there or detonate it there, launching it shouldn't ever be a concern and Snake as a professional soldier should have known this, so right at the briefing he should have known something was up and sure enough, new MG platform, this one can just use magnets to launch nukes, not something you could actually so, but suspension of disbelief I could give them that. Real espionage looks nothing like these games, and nothing in them ever comes close, they're very fun games to play, well made ones too, but the plot is bonkers.
When Johnny holds up snake who closes the door behind snake before jhonny appears? It don't look like jhonny himself cos he seems to be facing away from the door as if he was caught by surprise aswell she he saw snake.... But also if that's the case what was he doing behind the door in the first place? It don't look like he was waiting to hold up snake but whatelese could he really be doing behind the door given he must have seen someone open the door. Maybe he thought it was his squad until he saw snake but still it don't explain what he was doing behind the door lol and like I said kno even closed the door? That scene always confused me man.... MGS is a series about Ninjutsu in all its forms and Snake is the ultimate Ninja and its all hidden in plain sight - change my mind
We really need a movie like Metal Gear Solid. Something that features a lone operative sneaking into enemy territory while occasionally getting into fights with henchmen.
No, we need another metal gear or remake metal gear 2: solid snake i want see snake vs BB
I like how informative this video is.
Boss get down! thats an enemy gunship... one burst from that machine gun could tear a man in half. stay low and crawl along the ground. that should enable you to sneak past enemies
Goddamn this upload schedule is FAST. Good shit
I always thought that Metal Gear Solid V did open world stealth the best, and I’m really hoping more games incorporate it’s features.
If Ghost of Tsushima will ever get a sequel, it would benefit a lot from borrowing elements from MGSV.
Very thorough analysis. Keep up the great work!
I mean did anyone ever think they WERE realistic? The whole series is utterly ridiculous--in a good way, to be clear, but it's the OPPOSITE of something you'd get a feeling of versimilitude from.
I see MGS, I like! Subscribed!
Considering espionage was mostly secretly leaving letters in old walls I'd say the cardboard box is quite close to that delivery man spirit.
Great video man, you should make a video on the supernatural abilities of some characters in the saga
This was one of the most interesting videos I’ve watched in a while, thanks for talking about this
Great video! Love your channel!
Intro music is the same as my ring tone. I thought I was getting a call and couldn't find a way to answer it!
Awesome vid man keep it up
MASINT is an odd discipline. From what I read, HUMINT and COMINT are the eyes and ears while MASINT is every other sense.
Everyone going on about how good the video is and im just like, "Lol, dude at 1:48 accidentally shot the helo"
Actually, I just finished a session of replaying MGS 1 and I'm pretty sure they mentioned NSA in some of the codecs.
This may be my new fave channel
futuresound CIA asset confirmed
SO you're the one that the Boss keeps talking about...
Kept you waiting, huh?
Video started like my ringtone lmao. xD
Only true msg fans remember msg1 on ps1
One of the videos in the "Real life vs Metal Gear" playlist is hidden.
why does MGS2 look so good in your videos? I remember it looking like a blurry mess on the PC version, and nothing like what you've shown
I learned way more than I expected!
MGS4 has my favorite gameplay/gunplay, MGS3 has the best setting/subsystems
I love MGS4 probably the best aged remake of all the the previous metal gear characters. It’s probably why I got so emotional seeing snake age so quickly.
The cardboard box actually fooled state of the art DARPA detection technology MGS is way ahead of its time
Man Great Video and Insights!! Mgs is my shit!
This is the content I live for!
Well done you've earned a subscriber :D I look forward to your content
Another video, right Boss?
Darlon Kept ya waiting huh?
I wonder if you're going to branch out into Deus Ex (1), and the Thief and Dishonored seires
You forgot to bring portable ops to the table, but otherwise a neat essay.
On top of other tactics, real world spies conceal their breath's odor using BMINT tictacs.
Futurasound worked/works in telecommunication confirmed
Hey great video. Editing is great, but you got the definition of Clandestine and Covert mixed up
When Johnny holds up snake who closes the door behind snake before jhonny appears? It don't look like jhonny himself cos he seems to be facing away from the door as if he was caught by surprise aswell she he saw snake.... But also if that's the case what was he doing behind the door in the first place? It don't look like he was waiting to hold up snake but whatelese could he really be doing behind the door given he must have seen someone open the door. Maybe he thought it was his squad until he saw snake but still it don't explain what he was doing behind the door lol and like I said kno even closed the door? That scene always confused me man.... Great video as always bro!
He really said “V” like the letter instead of the number 5😂😂
