Watch my compilation of the top 50 greatest pool shots of all time of Efren Bata Reyes. Today, 69 years ago, the most recognizable pool player was born in the Philippines. Efren "BATA" Reyes because we are talking about him made the laws of physics in billiards cease to exist. His outstanding plays earned him the nickname "THE MAGICIAN" and these plays are remembered around the world to this day. Due to this very important day for the billiard world, I decided to create a compilation of the 50 best shots in the history of Efren Reyes. There is no other player in the world who has made so many magical and unique shots. When preparing this video, I selected as many as 81 of the best moves in my opinion and had to reject as many as 31. Believe me, it wasn't easy. The most important criterion for me was that this compilation should contain only intentional shots. I tried to reject the random ones even though they looked epic. This video shows my great respect and admiration for the achievements of this great player from the Philippines whose career changed the course of pool history forever. I hope you will enjoy this compilation and give it a thumbs up. Also, don't forget to let us know in the comments below which particular shot you think was the best! Thanks for watching!
Like many others, I've watched videos of Efren from his earliest to 2023. The commentators and players were all won over by his exceptional abilities and true humility. Probably the most respected and arguably the best pool player in the world.
I never doubted his amazing skills since he started playing as a kid. What's more amazing is his boldness and courage to risk a shot that nobody else would dare to try. Like the "z" shot when it was a hill-hill match.
Some kind words there at the end from his arguably greatest nemesis, Earl The Pearl. After all, you can't talk about either one without mentioning the other somehow. They had so many epic battles in the past & to hear that from Earl shows the amount of respect he has for Efren.
Earl's speech at the end was to show how much respect Efren Reyes is given by other players. It doesn't matter who said it. It was only to show how huge influence Efren Reyes had and still has on the entire billiard community.
@@MrCueBall I agree. That it happened to come from Earl Strickland carries more weight, in my opinion. I hear stories about Earl where people say he was ornery when he played, some attitude issues, doesn't really give credit or compliments to opponents, etc. So yeah, to hear that from him was something else.
Truly appreciated this video, man. Efren is just one of a kind, and truly the greatest of all time. Side by side, Earl and Efren are one of the legends of pool. Greetings from 🇵🇭
No. 21 was my favorite shot of The Magician of all time. How on earth could he have thought of that move on an actual competition. Only a genius can do that!
cheers for not adding unnecessary voice over that would ruin the energy in the room. each shot was it's own special moment that you could feel as if you were there. 👍🏼
Pak Reyes ini pemain billiard kah ato DEWA nya billiard???😂😂😂. Sepertinya bola2 billiard itu sangat penurut sekali dengan arah keinginan pak Reyes. BRAVO PAK REYES. "SALAM DARI INDONESIA".
If anything, he _showed_ that physics are _something_ in this sport… he jokingly says luck but physics is all about applying logical reasoning (math) to a real world phenomenon
All of the shot are impressive because he had only one chance to pull it off. For me, No. 18 & 26 is more impressive compared to the Z shot vs Earl. The Z shot is popular tho because of the match up. No.21 is one crazy shot. Also you didn't include his most insane shots. He use the other ball to change the trajectory, sink a ball and even hide a ball. Those are insane trick shot that needs to be done precisely that usually would take a lot of try to pull off. And he is doing it in a tourney with only one try. it is just impressive.
Efren be like: you see everything all my shots in tv and try to copy it but that's everthing you know but i do not share everything i know😢😂😂 My fellow countrymen from philippines the GOAT❤❤

Reyes’ defense is so underrated that people tend to forget that is one of the reasons why he wins the game. long live the 🎱🎱🐐🐐🇵🇭🇵🇭

The player to beat him has not been born yet.
