    I discovered operas through the internet, and my mind just exploded with the discovery of such a unique and beautiful way of telling a story. I find it unbelievable how difficult it is to find someone to talk about.

    What about the ascendency of the modern countertenor? Even as early as the careers of Russell Oberlin or Alfred Deller have we seen them and other countertenors and male sopranists retaking the former castrati roles.

      Omg I think that's fascinating!! I love seeing that, even something that was really written for a woman, like Cherubino, being played by a countertenor! Such an interesting choice and a real change on the ear.
