I want to thank you for doing such a good in depth look into all the Diesel heaters. One thing that could help your subscribers that are interested in buying a heater in the future, might I suggest doing a chart of all the different diesel heaters you've tested with all the specifications like: How long they run on their size of fuel tank on low and on high, what was their low and high temp, how loud was the heater and the fuel pump, how well the bluetooth app worked, how well is the heater designed, does it have a fuel filter and is it properly and neatly wired, can the heater run on the DC cigarette port off of your power station or does it need to be plugged into the AC part of the power station, what is the power draw on low setting and high setting, does it have a thermostat setting on the input panel with a long extension, and so on. I'm sure there are more specs that could be put on a chart. Wether you want to grade the different diesel heaters or just let the info on the chart speak for itself. Not sure if your discount code would help us Canadians? Thanks again, I look forward to your next video. Cheers from Northern Ontario.
I bought one of these earlier this week and have been using it to help warm the garage when smoking cigars. There isn’t a ticking noise but in my garage when running, it is about 65 decibels on high. Also, the screen on my controller was scuffed a bit out of the box. On startup there’s a pretty strong diesel smell each time. Maybe that’s normal for diesel heaters? I think AC is the best way to power this from a power station unless you have a higher rated DC port. I look forward to your experience camping with it.
I’m heating with the Hcalory. The ticking noise is not bad in my experience but I’m heating a hard sided square drop camper . I haven’t had fuel leaks from my fuel cap but I do transport it with a pig mat inside just in case. My model looks like a tool box with the lid that closes. I will have to check out that upgraded muffler, that’s super neat. I have the model with the app and I don’t use it . We are heating a 5x9 square drop and a 6x8’ annex tent room on the side of the camper. Given a choice I would have paid $600 for that unit
I am using mine inside my pop up truck camper. As you know there is no intake pipe for combustion on these that draw air from outside, it is behind the little holes under the big intake hose so there is no way to draw in outside air from a pipe. Are you placing your unit inside or outside your tent and do you see any harm placing it inside? They can be used in garages, cars, boats etc. and in those applications they are inside. Just curious because I'm sure some will say the intake for combustion must come from an outside source. Personally I'm ok with it inside as long as used in conjunction with CO detectors/monitors.
@@sherburnoutdoors I wonder if I should find a way to modify it? Maybe add a pipe to it? I could back it up closer to the wall and add an opening also but I wonder if I'm ok leaving it as is? It is super efficient this way and makes tons of heat, even on the lowest setting its almost too hot inside.
you are a great salesman, what a talker you are! I would like more technical details. What does this miraculous silent pump look like? Does it have any identification numbers? What does the inside of the heater look like? Most people out in the wilderness don't have unlimited power to operate a heater in an on/off mode. Is there a dosing mode as apposed to setting a temperature that would conserve battery power. I cant believe it takes 20A to start that heater!!! My cheapo CDH takes ~8A on startup. How about some sound level measurements? "The bag is wonderful...." I think you said that 2 or three times as well as talking about the beautiful black color. More technical details and less editorial please!
Are there any cheaper heaters that shut off and come back on with the temperature ? I'm looking to use one in my greenhouse. I have one now , but it doesn't turn off when it's up to temperature.
I started using it about 18 months ago, it was exactly the rise size for me at the time. I am starting to g to think I could use a slightly larger version since I have started using a lot more stuff that uses electric on the trail
The case/shell is NOT aluminum or anodized.... The bottom base/bucket/tub has cheap quality powder coat which is aluminum but it's not vented and doesn't have any sort of drain holes in case water did some how get into the unit it will puddle up in the bottom
@outlook888 I have the Lf-bros (n2) model. A magnet sticks right to the case/shell/covering whatever you want to call it. The bottom part of the unit is aluminum. Not anodized....That's a form of coating/paint they use on aluminum, So It is not anodized. It's powered coated.. I know because i scraped some off to back my comment up.
Not worth $500.00 more for no ticking noise. I highly recommend the 8k Gearzaar, it has all these features, AC power and includes a great app. Did I mention my EcoFlow River 3 powers it up on DC with no issues. Don’t be conned on a feature that really isn’t that big of an issue on the Gearzaar 🤨
Why does the LF Bros N2 Pro you have appear black, yet the same model on Amazon and on the LF Bros web page is a different color, and there is no mention of a case for all the accessories? I would not call this unit efficient when it is getting way lower run time than other units you have tested. You have had units on low go 50 hours this unit was a little over 30. Are the fuel tanks the same size? I do like how quiet the fuel pump is. You are saying this unit is 23.8 lbs yet on the Amazon page link it says it is 9.4 lbs. I'm confused is this the same unit in the Amazon link as the one you tested? Does the one in the Amazon link come with all the accessories including the bag and is it the same unit?
@@michaelbutler4961 There are few a pro models in different colors and other differences ,the black darth Vader is the most expensive. $599 on Amazon today. If you scroll down the listing is show the darth Vader box. Not the bag in all the reviews though.
Didn’t you say about 20 times in your last video that the new Wippro has no ticking and your audio supported there was no ticking, but this video you’re saying it does and showing video with clear ticking? Are you posting affiliate links in your videos? That’s the only reason I could see you only saying it has ticking once a new product is available.
@ I don’t remember your audio for the Wippro sounding anything like it does in this video. People even joked in the comments how many times you said there was no ticking throughout the video. Now this video shows clearly audible ticking.
@ if you get a couple of feet away, you cannot here the ticking on the WIPPRO or the Hcalory. This one has no ticking either the MiC put right next to it
@ I appreciate the clarification. As an impartial third party, I just want you to know the way you portray (and record) the Wippro’s ticking comes off completely differently between the two videos.
Fair Question. Just for clarification, I do not get paid for this. They do send me the units to test but that is all. As far as the ticking goes. I generally look at the ticking by where the camera usually is on the tripod to see if I can here the ticking as that is about as far as it is from my tent. All diesel heaters have a slight ticking noise the closer you get. The only ones that I have tested that were so loud were the Vevor's that I had to do surgery on with new pumps, mufflers... With all of that said, I have taken that Wippro unit out twice and it worked flawlessly and I slept like a baby
The start up volts at about 16 mins in your video is exactly what I was waiting for.
Glad that helped. I was a little shocked on this. This is about twice what other heaters I have tested are pulling....
RUclips is overrun with used car salesmen. This one is the best ever, until the next video.
Used car salesman? That was funny but They just keep getting better and better just like all tech
Don't forget your extended warranty...

Thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it
Thanks for the video and review, I am probably going for a lower spec model but you have helped me decide.
Glad that helped, these things are crazy expensive. My normal goto is in the $200 range for these types of heaters....

Thanks for reviewing heater. What is your experience with using toolbox model vs narrow models? Meaning which do you prefer?
I prefer the toolbox squaty version to the taller ones that are narrow. That is just me. I put them in the back of the truck and strap them down.
I was really hoping you'd crack open the hood on that thing and look for an explanation as to why its not ticking.
Check out the Houswin diesel heater.. no additional power source needed ;)
Pricey
We need a couple of diesel heaters with external tanks and real quiet pumps? Ideas? Thanks
Why is a mufler needed on a diesel candle? Are they that loud?
