For the sake of demonstration, you put the air intake on one side and the exhaust on the other, but in actual setting you have to send the carbon monoxyde outside the cabin if you don't want to suffocate. Am I right? And can you leave the air intake inside the cabin or tent or it is better to take fresh air from outside?
Have you tried connecting a return duct on this type of heater. I am looking to install one externally on a stationary rv. Then running a supply and return into the rv.
What you have there is a 5Kw heater that's deceitfully marketed as an 8Kw. If you need proof go to John McK 47 YT channel and he will explain WHY 8 Kw heaters don't exist!
Hi, thank you for your video! I purchased that one amd Im about to sey it up in my van but was wondering...we don't need to prime it before like I saw on other diesel heater video? (Holding the up and down arrows few seconde?) Thank you so much
Very informative videos!! I just ordered mine yesterday. I have one question in reference to the dryer hose. In your Amazon links, you list the 4” diameter hose. It was my understanding that I needed the 3” diameter hose. Can you confirm which one I need? Thank you!
I have a Gazelle T4 ground tent. Maybe about 75sqft. I like small efficient and quiet. Will a 2kw heater work ok? I did like the Wippro 5kw video. Which would you recommend? Thanks!!!!
Nobody on here shows how to hook it up to a power source WHYYYY??? Not all f us are so smart as to figure that thing out. Please do a video on just the wiring hook up
You got about the same because they are the same (5 kw & the 8kw). All you have to do is go into the setting code (4 blinking lines) and put in 1688. From there you can set it even lower than it came and Higher than it came in both the Pulse setting & the Fan setting... Factory setting is like 1.4 but will go down to 0.8, factory High is like 5.4 (5kw) but will go all the way up to 8.0 (8kw). Thats where you get your 8kwh at.. But I just use mine ~ as is ~ because it doesn't really get that cold here in Eastern N.C. except for about 7-10 day a Year.. Like RIGHT NOW, Tonight & tomorrow night suppose to be like 12-15 degrees. Thanks 4 Video...
This is a great comment John. I'm putting this video in my van life playlist just because of your comment. You Da Man! I'm in Texas and now it's March 3, 2024. It is going to be in the 80's today. Our "winter," is the first or second week of December (first frost) and the 3rd week of February. We are now in Spring. So, our "winter" lasts about 9 weeks.Happy Days are here again.
Hey Robert! First off… GREAT NAME I would know first hand! 😁😁 THANKS VERY MUCH BROTHER for making this video! I commented previously on your other videos about these heaters . Following your recommendation we purchased the same one you did the 30hr run. Problem was the manual was for SH$&! I could build one , with the manual, but couldn’t figure out how to get heat out of the damn thing with no mention as to which port was exhaust vs intake ! This video, as all of your other videos…… OUTSTANDING!!!! Thanks for taking the time to help us neophyte types out! 😂😂 You and your family stay well and happy . I’m subscribed, so I’ll be keeping an eye out for more of your videos!! Oh yea ( you know it’s coming) should I burn DIESEL or gas in this DIESELLLLLLLL heater??!!😂😂😂😂😂 SMH!
a little over half way i lost your audio i ran back ward and had audio then went back to last half no audio now its back again when you posted 275 degrees and you stated used little over 3 quarters tank of fuel
Hi I'm new to diesel heater recently went camping tent used diesel heater it was super outside like 15 to 10 degrees heater level 2 air was blowing little cooler but when I put max comes out hot I can't put over night max my power station 300 watts by any chance help what setting I need for heater in future?
Thanks for a really simple explanation and demonstration of how to setup these all in one diesel heaters. Particularly important was where those pipes go as there is no explanation in the manual. I think you should also add a small inline fuel filter between the tank and the pump so that any sediment from the fuel tank or contamination in the fuel is prevented from entering and clogging the pump.
I've heard that the exhaust pipe needs to be run downhill so that condensation does not build up in the pipe and create soot. I want to use mine in a sailboat so it will be hard to run it downhill and still get it outside. I think there is a part you can buy that hooks onto the pipe that has something similar to an S trap for plumbing attached so the condensation can be let out without having the exhaust come out with it. Does anyone reading this know anything about this or know where I can find info about it?
Do you think you can put the heatexchanger on its side so that you can put the inlet and ourlet on the side of the casing? So u can avoid the blocks under the device. It also means some mods on the casing.
6 an half hours on hight no more fuel on mind .. dam it .. gets hot .. my basement gets 27 C degrees 80 degrees F .. so .. cost runing it 2 dollars a liter .. 10 dollars in a half a day .. about ..
Love your content here. Where did you get the fuel can? I have overland van and the cans you mount to rack and pay dearly. They suck….if anyone else has suggestion on 10-20 litre with push button fill such as this or one that stops when full? “ one that really works” please chime in. Im using a battery powered transfer pump but lose it out back…. And no I’m not Aussie..but stayed in a holiday inn express last night
How hot does the outlet duct get? I was hoping to set a heater up in a cabin that has a storage partition. I was going to put the heater in the storage side and pipe the duct through the wall. The walls are lined with wool insulation. My only fear is rhe duct being so hot as to cause a fire. Im talking about the duct coming from the front of the heater not the exhaust
Yes. Your car battery is designed to put out a high power output for a short time to start your car, whereas an auxiliary battery, like that Bluetti has a Lithium battery that is designed for a lower current draw over a long period. Your car cranking battery cannot do the same as the aux battery.
Hi mate and thank you for your video ,before start my new toy i would like to ask you what about the oil ? as i know all machines use oil so ...what about this one? Thank you in advance
If someone doesnt have the big battery pack like you can i connect the car battery to it? Is it only to give power to the unit so you can light up the screen?
Don't use your car battery. It is not designed for this application. Use an auxiliary battery, like that Bluetti or a standard AGM battery which is designed for low current draw over a period of time. Your car battery will run it for a few hours then die. And then you can't start your car. And the battery is also probably damaged from being run too low.
I'm curious, did you run one tank of fuel for your test, or empty the tank and put in just one gallon? My low setting is 1.7hz, I am sure that will affect fuel consumption. Mike from MASS.
Your garage cabinets and storage looks nice.
Thanks, that was a project in its own!
Thank you for the video. Can I attach exhaust in the chimney in my garage ?
Great video, just got mine setup and will run it tomorrow
Nice setup I've got one myself on my off grid garage there great 👍
They do work great, glad it is working g for you. Thanks for watching
What is the hose you got for your overlanding set up?
Do you mean the dryer hose?
@@sherburnoutdoors yes
Crap! This changed my winter camping and hunting, it’s great portable heat. It’s a game changer with all the updates tech. Cool stuff.
Arnt you supposed to prime the unit before starting it?
That is the clicking noise you hear when it starts, it is priming itself after the glow plug heats up
I believe there's a setting that allows you to prime the pump before start-up. It's probably in the user manual
Change the fuel tube from green to white
why 6 steps? should be: 1. fill the tank. 2. press start. that's it. if more than that, I am not buying.
Then do not buy
Everybody knows there's no such thing as a 8 kilowatt. Well there is but that model certainly isn't it
It said 8 on the box, the unit and Amazon but the test results feel more like a 5
Who cares it's 100 bucks
1liter diesel is 10kwh count from that. If burn diesel slowly your gallon or whatever will last long but won't heat more than 10Kwh / liter
For the sake of demonstration, you put the air intake on one side and the exhaust on the other, but in actual setting you have to send the carbon monoxyde outside the cabin if you don't want to suffocate. Am I right?

The rubber base gasket gets hot and smells like a shoe in your oven .took 3 tanks of fuel to get rid of the smell
Would installing the muffler closer to the unit ( in line) quieten it more than right at the end?
Here’s the issue none of the links show heaters to buy now ?
I bought one of these and just started it tonight. Your video is the most helpful. I’ve seen the show the operation in the start up. Thank you.
Glad I could help! Thank you for watching
Thank you for the video. Helped me a lot setting this up.
Glad it helped
Have you tried connecting a return duct on this type of heater. I am looking to install one externally on a stationary rv. Then running a supply and return into the rv.
Seems not to understand the pipe is compressed for transit...........
Thanks now i know what to do when my wippro 8k is delivered tomorrow for a set up in the garage ( man cave)
Enjoy, thanks for watching
Thank you.
This is the video i was looking for
Glad I could help
Random question, is it worth shortening the excess length on the fuel line or just leave it alone ? :)
Leave it alone
Does it need to have a battery power? I thought just ran off diesel. I just got one and now not sure be able to use it as was for shed.
Get a car battery!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if an old one it will work, couple it up to a charger or take it to house to charge. Duh!
They have to have a 12 volt power source to run the fuel pump and the fan

I have used both, I hear they sometimes the 3 inch will back hear up in to the unit if there are any tight elbows. I have not ever had an issue though
Thank you! I’m leaning towards the 4”. Does it fit snugly over the warm air outlet vent of the heater? (Using the pipe clamps of course)
4 inch since you are increasing the length, a long 3 lnch will create excessive back pressure and give you high combustion chamber temp code
Mine says it needs 15 amps to start and the outlet only says it provides 10 amps… will it work?
Works with mine
@@sherburnoutdoors thanks dude! I gave it a shot and she runs. She gets hot as hell though

Do you have an in depth video, on how to use the pin and go into advance settings and how to use the thermostat in it?
What the benefits of going with the 8kw vs the 5kw? I'm new to all this and trying to learn. Thanks....
I have not seen any benefits in the roof top tent camping, maybe for a larger space

Yes, but needs to be inside to regulate. I always have mine outside using a Roof Top Tent

Question: Can I put an on-off timer on it. 30 minutes on 30 minutes off?
How would you install one of these heaters on a sailboat?😮
Do you use a 3” or 4” hose?
I use a 4” hose and use the 3 in tube it comes with sort as a coupler after I cut it down
