    How are you liking them? The 77a ones?
    I'm debating to get kegels in 77a instead of 80a.
    I mostly cruise, carve, and commute. No downhill, freeride, or free style. One day I might learn the slide stop.
    I read some reviews complaining the 77a blue ones don't last and get damaged easily. How are you liking them? The 77a ones?
    I don't weigh a lot. 137lbs so having 77-80a is my sweet spot. I've always gotten either 77a or 78a. So a softer wheel works for me. Maybe the softness of the 77a will be balanced by my low weight on not get as damaged?
    Can you report on how your 77a levels have held up?
    Are they bad for cruising and carving? I thought the large core would offset the slow acceleration of the big wheel. Are the kegels more for racing/DH or are they versatile enough for commuting?
    I'm also thinking about the in heat 75mm in 77a or 80a
    It's between these two wheels and two durometers
    My board is an arbor pintail gt 46"length by 9.3" width.

      Tbh if you are just cruising and you don’t plan on doing anything crazy, I’d suggest the blue Caguamas. They are suuuuuper smooth and feel great on bumps and cracks on the road. If you are planning on doing downhill and sliding, then you may want to either go with the orange Caguamas or the kegels for better duro. I will say that the curved edges of the Caguamas are better to prevent against the edges that may come off on the kegels, but I wouldn’t recommend the blue Caguamas for things like downhill sliding etc. I haven’t tried the heats but I just got another crate from Loaded Boards full of other goodies that I’ll be posting soon. Regarding damage to the 77a, much like you, I only cruise and I have two sets (orange and blue) and neither of them have had problems so far. I think those that complain about them are doing more rough riding and downhill sliding which these softer wheels are not ideal for. Since you plan to use it for cruising, I think you’ll be fine. I hope that helps you with your purchasing decisions. Thanks so much for watching the video and for commenting and asking these very important questions. I’m glad my video is still helping people out years later. Be sure to give an update once you make a decision and let me know what you chose and how you like them. 🙌🙏 Happy riding! 🤙

      @@NoFunMYR dude thank you for your detailed response.
      I thought the same thing too. About the damage from the 77a. I thought it was from cruising and commuting, but it makes sense if they are doing super slides that naturally deform the wheel
      However, it is hard to figure out if it's wheel durability problem or if the user is doing downhill/crazy slides. 1/4 of reviews complaining about kegel durability especially in 77a. Some say they were "just cruising" but who knows. You're experience does give me more confidence in 77a
      Regarding what you said, the cagauma might be too big for me. My pintail can handle larger wheels but not like a drop through. I'll look into them nonetheless. It's crazy how the 75mm in heat, 80mm kegel, 85mm caguma ALL have the same size contact patch.
      My current wheels are the old 77mm tunnel funnels (doubt they even make them. I got this board in 2011). They have damage but nothing like the pictures of downhill/freeride damage. Like the wheels have claw marks from using it for long
      I know I wanted a 75 to 80 sized wheel. Orangutan/loaded told me for my purposes (cruising, commuting, and carving) in heats would be better due to higher rebound urethane which gives better agility for my purposes. In heats have strong but small supportive core which grips well but doesn't accelerate as fast as a large core wheel like the kegel.
      So I'm split between the kegel and in heat. Loaded suggested I get the 80a in heat over the 77a. Because I was concerned about longevity.
      In heats are way more offset giving more grip. While the kegels are barely offset (almost a center set wheel)
      How are you liking the kegels?
      I'm gonna look into caguma. I'll probably need 1/2" riser. As I'm currently running a 1/4" riser for my tunnel funnel 77mm green (I think they are 77a/78a not sure though)

    • @NoFunMYR
      @NoFunMYR  Год назад +1

      @@xcharlesbronsonx Honestly, after using the caguamas I haven't looked back at the kegels. I have 2 sets of used ones sitting on my shelf for the past 2 years or so. I was sold on the blue caguamas and since I have a loaded boards vanguard deck there were no issues with my board and the wheel size.

    • @xcharlesbronsonx
      @xcharlesbronsonx Год назад +1

      @@NoFunMYR I've got an arbor pintail gt 46" length by 9.5" width.
      It's the old version of the current arbor timeless pintail.
      It doesn't have wheel wells because it's a pintail. I'm currently using 1/4" riser for my 77mm tunnel funnel. With 10" gullwing charger 2 .
      Would you still recommend the caguama over the kegel? The kegel is almost a centerset. I haven't figured out of the caguama is like the kegel only a little offset. While the in heat is fully offset
      At worst I may have to go 1/2" riser. But I'll have to see
      I've come down to the kegel or caguama both in blue...
      I push it's not electric (if that helps)
      The caguama has a rounded edge thar may last longer than the square lip on the kegel that people kept complaining the kegel lip got damaged. The caguama is a slightly round more like beveled edge which promotes even wear.
      There are other contenders in the 75mm to 85mm. Like the seismic (very expensive), abec 11 big zig HD, big zig centrax HD, or the 83mm bug zig fly wheel, then the cheetah hawgs 76mm which is sold out everywhere.
      If you have any experience with another wheel between 75mm and 85mm better than kegel or caguama let me know.
      But it looks like it's either the kegel or caguama for me.
      I keep thinking the caguama is meant for e boards and not manual pushing. But I may be wrong as you're enjoying them
      I apologize for so many questions. My Longboards have lasted longer than my cars lol
      I'm literally so close to buying it soon. Just making sure which is best from asking others. I read a ton of reviews already

    • @NoFunMYR
      @NoFunMYR  Год назад +1

      @@xcharlesbronsonx honestly if you’re worried that the wheels won’t work for your board or might cause wheel bite then I’d opt for the smaller of the two. But IMO e board or not, for casual cruising the Caguamas are the smoothest wheels I’ve tried (not including the new Dad Bods that Loaded Boards have just sent me and I’ve yet to try). You could always get two sets of different wheels and swap between them depending on how you want to ride etc.

      Great question. From what I understand they are working on potential larger wheels. I think they’re still testing the waters on that so if we are lucky we may see some options from Orangatang in the near future. If we do I’ll for sure do a review and giveaway of those. Which do you think is better on the Boosted Mini? Blue Kegels or Caguamas?

    • @NoFunMYR
      @NoFunMYR  6 лет назад +1

      Great question. Personally I like the Caguamas. As mentioned in the video the caguamas have the curved edges which I am a huge fan of and complained about the kegels not having that in a previous video. That curved edge really helps with speed wobbles in certain situations. I also find the lips and edges of the kegels break off easily due to straight edges. I hope that helps with your decision. Do softer wheels impact range. I know larger size wheels will.

    • @NoFunMYR
      @NoFunMYR  5 лет назад

      Great question. Tbh I think range is only impacted if the pulley or wheel size is larger. Even then I believe it’s marginal. Most people comment that it affects the acceleration and speed. That being said I honestly don’t think you gain or lose much from Wheel size or softness. If you do it’ll be worth the trade off. These wheels are also slightly larger than the stock wheels so keep that in mind but I personally don’t notice a difference in the range or speed at all. I hope that helps. gripper it is it due to friction and resistance it requires more energy thus will drain more battery and decrease range.

    How are the wheels long term? I read somewhere that they start chipping really quick, did you noticed something like that.?
    Cheers mate

    • @NoFunMYR
      @NoFunMYR  4 года назад +1

      Arturo Reynoso great question. To be honest I haven’t had any problems like that but I also remember seeing a few posts in regards to that. However, I haven’t had any issues and have had that very set on my board to this day and it’s still holding up. I think the Kegels and flat edged wheels are more prone to the edges tearing. There are always a few duds in the mix of products and since I haven’t had any problems myself or haven’t seen too many posts about breaks and cracks in the wheels I would say they hold up nicely long term. Or at least they have for me. Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting. is it possible to use those wheels on a regular skateboard or cruiser? I currently use the retro zig zag wheels and love them. Great video by the way!

    • @NoFunMYR
      @NoFunMYR  6 лет назад

      Hey Steven! Great question! Yes you can use them on essentially any board so long as the dimensions are appropriate. Your bearings may or may not require spacers depending on your trucks but other than that each wheel uses 2 bearings (one on the inside and one on the outside) and the wheels have standard inserts for the bearings so you shouldn't have a problem. In face I'd recommend those types of wheels for your cruiser as it'll not only reduce the vibrations on your deck but it will also run over thicker objects compared to smaller skate wheels. If you get them let me know what you think! Thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it. :)
