Thanks, SPG, for being authentic. Genuinely, one of the reasons I have followed you for so long is that I don't feel like there is this fake persona and it's just refreshing to watch someone who cares about the same things in life. 🌱💚📷
It's good that you're talking about things that we as an audience can do “better” to improve your reach, earnings, etc. People who are not creators have no idea how some activities affect the algorithm and how easily they can mess it up. Awareness needs to be raised! 💪 P.S. I love these lego flowers, they are the only plants on which I don't have pests😂💚
LOVE these Lego sets - l've not seen these ones before. I've done the orchid, the bonsai and a bunch of flowers. Need the daffs and sunflowers. Especially appreciated your chat about monetisation. It's good to know how it works. Hoping that this eventually gets you and Brad into a home of your very own ❤
📸Some people aren't bright enough to realize that people on the internet are actual people, and they aren't entitled to know everything about their lives. I appreciate all that you share. Yes, I'm nosey and would love to know more, but I respect you as a person. And I love Brad. 😺😻😽😽😽
How funny because I just talked about this in a reading. People really don’t understand the stress and pressures put into content creating. It’s taken 5 years to grow to over 26k still feels like a climb everyday. This is a hard job. Love your content and keep growing.. no pun intended. 😂❤
I've been watching you for over a year and had no idea that you read all the comments. This is my first time making a comment because of what I've learned from your video. Thanks for an informative and entertaining video.
You are the only content creator who was able to explain to me clearly to me the importance of moss pole. backed with science and beautiful plants as proof.
💚I’ve been watching your videos and they’ve really inspired me to get back into my plant pages and channel. Thanks so much for sharing your tips on how to connect with your audience. I really appreciate it!💚
I truly appreciate all of the time and effort you put into your content. You should be aware that you are an inspiration not only to myself but many many others that I know and certainly many more that are unknown. I learned more from this video than I have in my 3 month attempt to figure this out on my own. I am very much OCD in how the final outcome of the video looks, and I ALWAYS talk myself out of posting. I beat myself up to the point that I catastrophically implode. Sometimes, to the point that I actually go back and remove older posts! I'm just starting out obviously and very thankful that I had the opportunity to see this now rather than later. THANK YOU! ❤🎉❤ 38:48
Your advice has given me the ability to successfully grow indoors plants after a lifetime of growing outdoors. I was never able to keep a house plant alive. I found you when I saw a RUclips short of you chopping a plant "OH NO" That one still makes me laugh.
@ I’m not a stalker believe me,🤣 you can ask my husband of 40 years. 😅I’m open to learning from the young gen and find it very inspiring to see the younger generation strive and grow in their abilities and talents. But you need support and recognition for the amazing work that you do. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Really enjoyed your insight in this video! I’m usually more of a lurker (but subscribed!) on both youtube and IG, but I do comment/dm occasionally (both here and IG) and it’s so nice being able to interact with you! I just had this video play whilst I’m working, and it’s kinda like having friendly company
Thanks Jan for this video. Lots of good information. I'm not a content creator I just love growing plants and seeing what other people grow but I enjoyed hearing all the things you have to consider to create an interesting video. Appreciate your content always. 📷
📸 I found your channel through a Facebook plant group and instantly loved your content , Brad and you, I look forward to Tuesday and Thursday's spent with you.
Fantastic video, love the engagement and personal feelings of your videos. I came across you on RUclips, I don't use Instagram or fb for personal stuff, mainly work stuff (movies etc). I've always been a huge airoid lover, especially climbing plants, and HUGE plants, but in the uk it is difficult to grow some species, but I love a challenge. Your channel has taught me so much about plant care. I really, really appreciate your content and the work you put into it, your passion for plants really comes across in your videos. Thank you for your informative content and the family feel(vibe) that comes across. Take care Pete
I found you on Instagram. I think not long before you started making RUclips videos. If memory serves, I remember sharing with a fellow plant enthusiast and saw the links to RUclips. Remember thinking holy crap he’s got videos now! That’s awesome!
I've referred so many plant friends to your videos. I love how clearly and throughly you present information. Thank you for all of your work! Brad is such a cutie 😊😊😊
I love what you do as a content creator. However personally I feel you are a better plantfluencer. You have influenced me to obtain a verrucosum, el choco red, splendid, frydeck, ikea cabinet, many sets of grow lights and much much more😂😂 my husband not as big of a fan of SPG but I’m having a ball. Thank you so much.
I kind of feel like RUclips is more authentic whereas on IG and TikTok are a bunch of shorts that are meant to be funny. Yes, there are some DYIs, etc. but I just personally like this better. As far as your channel goes, I love it because I do feel like I'm almost in person with you. You're not bouncing all over the screen, acting a fool... you're giving VERY helpful tips and tricks as far as plants go and you can very much see how genuine you are. It's nice to see someone creating the content without a bunch of edits as well. You can absolutely tell, and it gets annoying after a while. I want to see the bloopers! lol Anyway, thank you for what you do and keep it up, we enjoy you so much! P.S.... To answer your question, I found you here on RUclips first :) 🎥📸
Thanks for another great video. Very informative. I’m glad you took time to do some planty things the other day without filming and enjoyed yourself. The struggle to feel like you need to film everything is real and it can take the fun out of the hobby. I really enjoy the long form content. I wish YT wasn’t pushing so much for short form. I hate shorts and rarely watch them. I go to YT to learn about things I’m interested in and I can’t get that kind of information in a short. Your videos are always informative and entertaining. Thanks for all you do. 😊🎥
Look forward for new place and renovation videos some day , that always interest me how people live and I enjoy your way of plant styling in space. It's nice but not busy to me eyes , elegant 😉
This was so interesting to watch. Thank you for sharing! I found you through YT, I don't have other platforms. 📷 Keep doing what you're doing. Like you said, we sre a community and the relationship is the important part. I think most of us would continue the journey with house renovation stuff. How fun!
I really loved the botanic gardens videos. Maybe most indoor plants lovers don't have a garden space so outdoor plants are less interesting or relevant to them. Maybe viewers would like to see you tour or interview other people about their indoor plant collections?
I often comment because I know that it helps the algorithm too. Personally, you appeared in my suggestions, I also often saw other RUclipsrs suggest your content in particular the moss poles. I liked the vibe, your humor and I stayed there! 💛🇨🇦 You are interesting on many subjects. I don't have any Aroid or moss pole 😆 I have several plants, but not of this type. What you say, present, explain is educational and fun. I listen to you while working so I appreciate the long videos, a bit like a podcast! Besides a Podcast with AJ 💛😆 The other day you talked about Daryll House Plant Journal, he often does collaborations, he did one with an Australian for the Leca. It would be super interesting you two I am convinced! Take care of you! 📹
I usually watch your vids within 24 hrs but this one slipped through. I like how you do the thumbnails, yours aren't worded like click bait, I don't like it when ppl do that... There's no drama on your channel. You are authentic. I love the lengthy vids. Sometimes, I will play your re-pot vids while I do my dishes, lol. Haven't won the lotto yet, lol. You need to do that thing where ppl can 'buy you a cup of coffee' or super chats when you're live. If everyone sent you $5 you'd be on your way to saving for that house ❤
🎥 💐 💐! Really liked this video! It was very informative. So sorry you felt the need to film it three times, but third time was definitely a charm for this one!
Thank you so much for the pointers!😍 I'm really struggling at the moment with the sub growth... Buttt I do watch you videos a lot, and multiple times to! Just because I forgot something or just for fun🥰
📸 I appreciate your honesty. You are very matter of fact about plants and plant care, your yearly report videos about a particular plant are unique on youtube (I can't think of anybody else at the moment), I love the vlogs, even though they seem to not be for everybody and I trully appreciate that you don't split your subscribers into privileged (aka paid membership) and lowly peasants. I always watch your videos to the end, but I'll try to do it within the 24 hours. Anything I can do, I will, so you don't feel forced to recommend us mental therapy or socks or something like that😊
Love watching your videos. And of course the most beautiful fluffy Bradley. Wish mine was that loving. Share your videos quite a lot to groups I'm in. Getting loads of ideas from your channel. And..have FINALLY found a manjula which I'm picking up tomorrow!! Someone here in Adelaide has said they are an awful grower. Hope to prove him wrong! 😊😊
@sandiefrancis2387 Hi Sandie, sounds like you and I could set up an SPG Adelaide fan club 🙂. I've had a Manjula for a couple of years, and it's going well, but quite slowly. What I have no success with are the velvets. What about you?
You made me get into my first Anthuriums I'm actually receiving this week . I'm more confident and prepared. Hopefully I get one of those special Anthuriums your growing 🙏
I'm already looking forward to you moving into your own house 😅 For some strange reason I love watching renovating, moving furniture and decorating especially if it's got to do with plants😂🤣🌿🌱
Hi from Romania! I've been following you for so long that it took me a minute but I think I remember now that I saw you first on Instagram in a collab video with another guy who does moss poles and came over to RUclips very shortly after.
🎥📸 it is interesting to hear about the behind the scenes stuff, i love all of your content and i really like the idea of seeing you renovating your house with plants and your planty aesthetic in mind. i definitely try to watch as soon as i see a new video, and the time difference between australia and usa means i usually watch while i have coffee in the morning a few hours after you post. also i love the botanical garden videos but maybe im a minority haha anyway, thank you for all of the information and for always including brad because hes so sweet and adorable. i commend anyone who is brave enough to put themselves out there, i personally could never! i think if you did collaborate with other planty people that would be fun.
I found you on Instagram. I was amazed! I ran as fast as I could right to RUclips, hoping you would have longer videos and plant tours. I’ve been a subscriber ever since
📸 Always watch your content to the end and your also one of reasons I have found a new hobby in plants, so thank you for that. I do have a question though... when ads pop up do you get the same monetization if we skip thru the ad or do you earn more if we watch the ad all the way thru?? I want to make sure I can do what I can to help you to do this full time.
@sydneyplantguy I've heard that it does bring in less but I'm not sure either. Might be something to look into because I'm surely not opposed to sitting thru ads for my favorite content creators, and you are certainly one of my favs ;)
📸 I found your channel on RUclips. Insta is somehow not my thing, tiktok even less so.😅 My first video was your Adansonii Spotlight. I've been a loyal subscriber ever since.💚 Thank you so much!
📷 As a subscriber it's nice to know how to be a "better" viewer so that I can support you so that you can continue creating. Wish I could watch all of your videos right away but I live on the opposite side of the world so that's not really feasible due to the time difference 😅 But I will try to watch them the same day I see that there's a new one 🙂 I found your channel when I was searching moss pole related hashtags on Instagram, but didn't subscribe to your channel on RUclips until after I had created my first moss pole. It was unfortunately NOT made according to your recommendations, and I found your content again when I was troubleshooting why it wasn't working. I had made every mistake really: I put a too mature monstera deliciosa on a moss pole that was poorly constructed using the wrong kind of wire mesh (hexagonal and sort of flimsy), it was too wide and therefore contained too much sphagnum moss, it was in a too big pot with a potting mix that was not chunky and not well draining enough. That monstera sadly died (duh🙄😜) but I managed to take propagations and will try again when they are ready (I want to put a monstera deliciosa on a moss pole even though you don't think they need it, because I think it will look more neat that way). After seeing your content I got curious about different sorts of climbing aroids (had never heard of most of them before) so now I've put an el choco red, a verrucosum and a regular pothos on moss poles that are constructed using your techniques, approximately 1,5-2 months ago. Only the el choco has started to attach so far, but if it works I will definitely start recommending your youtube channel (and specifically the instructions for how to make moss poles) in the Swedish Facebook plant groups I'm in, because I see a lot of questions about moss poles there. I don't want to recommend something I've not tried and had success with myself though, but hopefully proof will be in the pudding (😉) and some of of my plants will make it and hopefully thrive this time 🪴🌿
Several comments and/or questions on the content of this video: Re: Title You are right in that it matters. I have noticed that I get irritated with titles that say “You are doing this all wrong!” Yes, I may watch the video, but it won’t take long before I start avoiding that RUclipsr. I will not leave a negative comment, just ignore the videos in the future. When it comes to plants, I do a lot of things “wrong,” but it works well enough for me. Same goes for titles that are unrelated or inflated. I appreciate titles that lets me know what content to expect. Speed and watch time: Unless it is a movie, language lesson, or music, I listen and watch all RUclips videos at double speed. I don’t know how that impacts the content maker, but that is how I can cover what I want to watch. Sometimes I also skip part of the video. Travel videos: I am slightly surprised that I do not enjoy or have the patience to watch them. I love visiting botanical gardens during the summer. It is good for the soul to walk among beautiful plants, rest on a bench, get ideas, etc. But seeing it on a screen is not the same for me. Just an observation. I apologize if some of my comments are negative. I am just trying to relay how I react to videos. Secondly, I wonder if you have ideas on filming plants for your own reference. As a rather private person, I have no desire to upload videos to the internet, but it might be fun and useful to do some for your own reference. I have both houseplants and a garden. Thank you for an insightful video.
You need to explore the affiliate marketing, for example for products on amazon people from the entire world can use them and contribute to your success!
While I am watching this..Fyi, I was repotting air plants in pots and I am now somehow attaching them to a big dragon palm tree that I have, just to minimise the potted plants that are laying around. Pots can be too much sometimes 😊
Very good info! I enjoy every one of your videos because you're genuine and likable, but sometimes, if the headings sound like something my conditions won't support, (anthuriums & velvets😥) or have already seen , I might wait a few days if it's a long one. Won't do that any more! I also thought that once I'd watched, liked, commented, that was it. Are you saying that if we watch 3 times, you are credited with 3 views? As an oldie with mobility issues, I love it when you take us touring, so I'm surprised and disappointed that those videos don't get more views. Also, do we have to watch full advert to get credit, or what happens if we skip? Love these chatty videos, and these cute lego flowers. 🌻💐🏵🌾. The only hard part about watching your videos is finding the emoji, but I figure we owe you that. 😻💚 Smiile 📸
Thank you :) please don’t feel obligated to watch videos if they don’t interest u :) not every video can be applealing to everyone :) and that’s okay ! Yea u can watch multiple times but feel free to skip ads :) makes a better viewing experience for u :)
Super helpful video thank you 🙏 🌱💚 As a new planty You Tuber this video was packed full of useful tips. I’ll likely even watch it again to make sure I didn’t miss anything 👍🏻😂
Hi, I like ur videos and the way ur explaing. Inspired by ur video I just bought philodendron Melanochrysum small baby plug wrapped in cotton with some soil and verrucoum baby. Can u suggest me what should I do next. can I place it in spagnum moss or into the Airoid mix. They just have 3 or 4 roots and nearly 3 inches in length.
I realy enjoy your content. Long videos is my evning carrot after the Kids are in bed. I would love to see a house renovation video. You desserve it. 🎉
I watch you because I like your personality, your character, your intellect, your creativity, and your ability to take us along on your plant journey. I think your content is “edutainment” education+entertainment. I found you when I moved from Florida to Kansas. I had to bring all of my outdoor tropical plants indoors. Came for the plants and I found a very enjoyable and engaging person with the sweetest most handsomest fur baby🐈🥰🐈🥰Im so glad you and Brad popped up on my RUclips page! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌱🌿🪴🍃🌞
Love all your videos, long, short, however they come. I'd watch whatever you put out every day of the week if you did it. Good luck for your house dream, I'd love to see you've renovating dream come true and I'd watch it. Lego is the best 🎉 📸
Does it make a difference to your view time revenue if we speed you up? I often speed up my watching speed due to time restraints but does that affect your view watch hours?
I found you on RUclips and then from there, started following you on IG :) I love the long form content. I like the stories and context that I can’t get from short form. 📸
I respect what you’ve said. However, if you were to create unique and quality merch (based on your vids I am certain you would!) I would buy it and I think lots of others would too 😊 #SPGStuff!
Thanks, SPG, for being authentic. Genuinely, one of the reasons I have followed you for so long is that I don't feel like there is this fake persona and it's just refreshing to watch someone who cares about the same things in life. 🌱💚📷

I like the time and effort you put in your videos. Long or short ❤
To put it frankly I’m grateful for your care in your plants AND us.
And I’m grateful for such a great community 🥰
My friend you DEFINITELY have some of the biggest plants in the world 😊 Your collection is goals! Thank you for all the tips ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing Brad with us.

Also, alter the stem lengths on some of the flowers for a much better display
Thank you!!! Yes have changed up the stem length since :)

This was such a great video. There are pretty much no content creation videos out there aimed at plant creators so this was brilliant to watch.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful 😊
📷📸📹🎥📱Like the end where you are rearranging your lego floral bouquet 💐🌻😁 I usually read comments during the commercials.
🎥this hour flew by. Love this talking video, the greatest advantage is that i can do something and just listen to that interesting speech🎥

Thanks for the tips and knowledge. And i loved to see the LEGO bouquet grow !
RUclips. I discovered your content originally on RUclips. It was shortly after that TikTok and Instagram pushed your channels into my algorithm.
I had a friend who recommended to watch your content, about a couple of years ago.. been following you ever since!
Thanks for the ongoing support :)
I love your videos because you're very down to earth , you have quality information & Brad ❤️
❤❤❤❤❤ I do that, too! That's probably why I have no content! Lol. That's OK, though. I never want to lose my LOVE for the hobby of plant care.

For some strange reason I love watching renovating, moving furniture and decorating especially if it's got to do with plants😂🤣🌿🌱
Haha i love watching that sort of content !! And would be so cool to create some myself :)
Thank you for the tips! Very helpful 🌱📷
Question are you happy with the zhiyun gimbal? Thinking about getting one…
Definitely :) but I also don’t have any other reference point 😂
@ its because there’s also the dji. But that one is more pricey.
Hi from Romania! I've been following you for so long that it took me a minute but I think I remember now that I saw you first on Instagram in a collab video with another guy who does moss poles and came over to RUclips very shortly after.
Thanks for the ongoing support :)
📷 I’m not a content creator but enjoyed getting some insight into the process! Love your content!
Sending you lots of love. Thanks for being you
Thank you so much :)
Good sharing thanks 👍
I found you on Instagram. I was amazed! I ran as fast as I could right to RUclips, hoping you would have longer videos and plant tours. I’ve been a subscriber ever since
📸 Always watch your content to the end and your also one of reasons I have found a new hobby in plants, so thank you for that.
I do have a question though... when ads pop up do you get the same monetization if we skip thru the ad or do you earn more if we watch the ad all the way thru?? I want to make sure I can do what I can to help you to do this full time.
I’m not sure tbh but feel free to skip :) makes a better experience for u :)
@sydneyplantguy I've heard that it does bring in less but I'm not sure either. Might be something to look into because I'm surely not opposed to sitting thru ads for my favorite content creators, and you are certainly one of my favs ;)
📸 I found your channel on RUclips. Insta is somehow not my thing, tiktok even less so.😅
My first video was your Adansonii Spotlight. I've been a loyal subscriber ever since.💚
Thank you so much!
I feel that you love your job and I love your videos
Thank you:)
The lego flowers are 👌
Very good info !
You came across u tube.
💚🍀🌵🌿💚
Thank you:)
📷 As a subscriber it's nice to know how to be a "better" viewer so that I can support you so that you can continue creating. Wish I could watch all of your videos right away but I live on the opposite side of the world so that's not really feasible due to the time difference 😅 But I will try to watch them the same day I see that there's a new one 🙂
I found your channel when I was searching moss pole related hashtags on Instagram, but didn't subscribe to your channel on RUclips until after I had created my first moss pole. I don't want to recommend something I've not tried and had success with myself though, but hopefully proof will be in the pudding (😉) and some of of my plants will make it and hopefully thrive this time 🪴🌿
Found you on RUclips- a short - shaking a plant!
I found you on RUclips first and then Instagram😊
Several comments and/or questions on the content of this video:
Re: Title
You are right in that it matters.
Speed and watch time:
Unless it is a movie, language lesson, or music, I listen and watch all RUclips videos at double speed. I don’t know how that impacts the content maker, but that is how I can cover what I want to watch. Sometimes I also skip part of the video.
Travel videos:
I am slightly surprised that I do not enjoy or have the patience to watch them.
First one! 🙈🥰
@sydneyplantguy even if the subject doesn't interest me, it's always a pleasure to watch you 😘
I'm here from youtube organically 🙂
I hate insta short forms make me more nervous 😅
Super helpful video thank you 🙏 🌱💚 As a new planty You Tuber this video was packed full of useful tips. I’ll likely even watch it again to make sure I didn’t miss anything 👍🏻😂
Glad it was helpful :)
Check out my plant spotlight playlist :) there u’ll see what I do with small plants & how they grow up :)
Lego is the best 🎉
📸
Thank you!! Really appreciate it :)
PS..To answer your question, I found you on this You Tube channel...thanks.
📷this was interesting!
Does it make a difference to your view time revenue if we speed you up? I often speed up my watching speed due to time restraints but does that affect your view watch hours?
Mmm actually I have no idea 🤷🏻♂️ but I personally always watch in faster speed :D
Love❤
🎉🎉🎉
I Binge watch your videos lol
Then I'll go back and rewatch others
Hehe thank you so much!!
I click no matter what and you come up very quickly on my YT after you post. Love your vids!

I found you on RUclips and then from there, started following you on IG :) I love the long form content. I like the stories and context that I can’t get from short form. 📸
Thanks
I respect what you’ve said. However, if you were to create unique and quality merch (based on your vids I am certain you would!) I would buy it and I think lots of others would too 😊 #SPGStuff!
