I sort wrote this game off due to the combat/animations/everything other than building being "not great" but after New World's kerfufffle recently I debating if I need to give Pax Dei more of a chance. Not sure I can do it though knowing that the gather/craft/build loops is over quickly and the combat and other experiences just aren't there yet.

Yeah the journey of new world is disappointing for sure, I’ve spoken about my feelings on it a lot but not in a RUclips or anything.
Remember Pax needs time in the oven, the devs have a good vision but it’s going to take time to get there, maybe. Once combat is in, I think it could feel good to play! But until then… back to coping hahah

Thank you for the compliments. we hade a blast and some stress to get this done, but everyone was mega proud of what we achieved! If you are talking about plots, which i'm not sure about the actually size, but we used roughly 50 plots in total for this whole build. With some people having access to 2 or 4 plots. many plots were also in the waters as it was very clumsy to put these down.
I played Alpha and now waiting for the 18th to get back in. I was amazed at this game from the start. I have had it on whishlist since it first was announced. Hope to see you in game. This build you guys did is Awesome to say the least and in the first week of preview, really awesome.

You have building plots which you can set to clan so only clan members can build on
@@Dannehwhat happens if one persons plot in the middle of everything is no longer accessible (like they leave game or change permissions).
Seems scary to rely on persistent players to provide community land for core buildings to run a town eek! Lol

I used to be very excited about this game but with every video I watch it's pretty clear the game has no meaningful content for now. Building a pretty and massive village in three days that has no other relevance to the game than just being pretty is not a game loop that can keep anyone interested for more than a month at best.
Yeah, I think they need to communicate that bit for sure, they are still quite early in the content and combat progress so deffo feels really bare compared to other games, but keen to see how to develop this!!
I hope the devs will (at least) consider implementing naval gameplay. If not, let's start a petition.

This looks epic .. soughta reminds me the old online game called WURM online .. i sunk many hrs into that 1 unfortunatly it didnt have much depth to it other then build something interesting .. once you'd built in a few different places the interest whore of abit lets hope the devs can build on these great looks

Killer job all. Wish there were more to do in the game. Feels like atm once your build is done the game loses a lot of value with how limited the plot set up is. Maybe depending on plot's purchase a large guild could set up multiple bases on the map. For me even though I play MMO's for combat, I think this game would be better off going full Medieval life sim, base builder, trade/commerce, caravan's etc. Going for mmo combat and pvp doesn't seem to fit with their game design philosophy or strengths.
Yeah, they have good plans for the game but let’s see how long they take to implement these bits now they are going into EA
Definitely gives a vibe that they’re rolling towards more life sim/commerce. Which is intriguing for me. They’ve got a good start hope they fill it out :)

I hope the game succeeds aswell but how does it stand out and how is it going to be different to other games such as Dune and other survival games.
just looke at the quality of building in this game compared to Once human, and if that quality is on all the other systems we will have a great game.
Yeah, I think they have some strong competition but the medieval era is a big appeal to many people along! Fingers crossed for them haha

I would be sure about that, as we were playing a build that was labeled as early access. So I assume it will be similar as this event week.

Is it worth it? I thought the game was supposed to be garbage. The full loot doesn't bother me. I come from games like Shadowbane and Darkfall
Nobody is intrested in this game they already show it will be P2W, also relasing paid EA, i assume they pay US to test thier game. Conclusion is if they relasing paid EA thats mean game will fail. as 95% Early Acces Games.
Appreciate the opinion! Yeah I wish them luck on their development as I do want to see it become a success, but let’s see what decisions they make moving forward!
@Danneh I still have yet to have anyone tell me how you win this game. people keep throwing around "pay to win" over and over and over but none of them can tell me how you win. You don't win this game you just hang out with your bros, grind, build stuff and be creative.
