- Wild Turkey in a tree! Something startled this turkey this morning and it flew way up into a tall tree in the yard! It's strange to see such a large bird 1) fly that high and 2) just hanging out in the treetops for about 15 minutes! #birds #birdwatching #nature #turkey #wildlife #kalamazoo #nikoncoolpixp1000

They look out of place when they're sitting in a tree. I've seen a turkey fly to a tree before. They're not very graceful. Looks like a flying bowling ball with wings. 😅 It's a nice shot you got of her. Nice and clear. I occasionally get 2-3 of the larger turkeys under my bird feeder and enjoy watching them strut around the yard. 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
They do look very awkward when flying! This lady has been hanging around for a few weeks. I think she might have a bad eye on the left side. Maybe that is why she reacted so strongly and flew so high!
