My American husband and I call each other that, and he’s only a few months older than me. It sets the tone on how the kids address their parents. My parents and grandparents were the same way. There’s nothing weird or dirty about that, unlike in Western countries.

I cringe when I hear all the negative interviews and comments about Filipinas who treat foreigners as a meal ticket and an ATM. Sad to say that in most cases this is due to the fact that these stories so often come from the mouths of foreigners who have arrived here for the first time and have very little knowledge of the Philipino culture and even less knowledge of the girl or her family. They make the mistake of not telling the girl from day one that they are not a bank or a loan company and they are here to find happiness and share that with someone who will reciprocate in every way. That means in honesty respect , in attitude, and tender loving care. They should point out that the relationship between the two of them has to be developed before committing to any financial assistance towards her family and make it crystal clear that it is a non negotiable condition until enough time has passed for the foreigner to feel that the girl has a genuine desire to build a.Happy and loving relationship together.

I have to laugh at most of the men that have came over to Asia at an old age. Most don't have more than 10 year ahead of them at best. In 1966 at the tender age of 20 I was drafted and eventually sent to Vietnam. Saigon Vietnam the best place for a 20 year old American. I had already got my "Dear John Letter" in Basic Training and was really fed up with American girls breaking up with another one back in high school not to mention all the games I and to play with them. My Saigon experience was a different world, I was hooked and wanted more of it after I was discharged and after a year in America making Ford cars on a assembly line outside of Kansas City I bought a one way ticket to Bangkok and got started on my first adventure. I spent a year back packing and meeting many Thai girls but realized that if I did not have a good income I was not really going to be able to fully experience Asia. I needed to get a good job and not having any real experience I knew I could start by getting a better education so I went back to America and using my GI bill and working part time I got a engineering degree from LSU . 4 months after graduation I got a job with an American company with a headquarters in Bangkok but the job was building an oil field in New Guinea. The job turned out to be really exciting flying out every morning by helicopter to the jungle and building pipelines. But it was not all work and no play. I worked 4 weeks of 12 hour days and then flown back to Bangkok for 2 weeks R&R with full pay. That meant in 1973 I was living in Bangkok making $2,500 a month that was big money then and I had a ball for 4 years. I rented a home in Bangkok and hired a maid, I did this because I did not want a wife or even a girlfriend why buy a McDonalds when you can get all the hamburger you want for a dollar. I was 26 when I started working only international and did not consider even a steady girlfriend (that I married 2 years later at 51) . All that time working making good money, having a great time and actually saving a lot of money at the same time. I really never counted how many women that I had the honor to enjoy could only make an estimate by how much free time I had during the year when I was not on a job in some remote area like a jungle or a desert but my formula was was based on 3 times a week and how many weeks I had free that year, so it was in the hundreds. Finally at 48 I met a Thai girl that had just graduated from Medical School and a Thai government hospital have being treated for a minor work related injury. This girl was very special and 24 years younger than me. For what ever reason I stopped my single ways and never wondered again when it came to other women. Now 25 year later, 15 of them retired still living in Thailand and now building our second home. My wife now a division manager for one of Thailand's major health provider, a 17 year old son that will be leaving for college next year. I can truly say that dumping American women way back in my 20's was a smart thing to do. But it was even smarter moving over here to Thailand while still in my 20's and really enjoying life, and still do today at 77.

I married my American husband for twenty years never ask money from him, I work for own need and extra for my family since then. Husband just take care rent and insurances, mine is food and utilities. That’s my arrangement. I married my Filipina after a year LDR. We met four times in Manila where she lives, she’s from Cabanatuan. We never touched each other nor did we want to. She is the first woman I really respected. Very informative and useful. As a Catholic, it is very useful to share this video. The info on a Christian dating site is extremely helpful. It's nice to know that there are provincial ladies who save themselves for marriage. The great part is for Filipinas to see that there are men with the morals to wait for a physical relationship. For Filipinas to be natural, and not be worried about language--Americans don't care about the difference--"all" relationships take time to build and learning the language both ways is just one of those building that relationship. if you want to marry Filipina, the simple way is, don't be a bossy, don't be like a rude king, don't hurt her physically and mentally, you have to be equal decision and talk about your own responsibility, then you can have what peaceful mind you are expecting, sometimes Filipina there's a something called, "Toyo" means, she's angry without any reason, but don't be mad very quick, you just have to be quiet, don't talk to her for a while, then after a minute or for an hour, come to her back and say the 3 words and say "where do you want to have dinner"?, then your happy life must go on.

Your interview with this couple is why I subscribed to your channel Chad. I cringe when I hear all the negative interviews and comments about Filipinas who treat foreigners as a meal ticket and an ATM. Sad to say that in most cases this is due to the fact that these stories so often come from the mouths of foreigners who have arrived here for the first time and have very little knowledge of the Philipino culture and even less knowledge of the girl or her family. They make the mistake of not telling the girl from day one that they are not a bank or a loan company and they are here to find happiness and share that with someone who will reciprocate in every way. That means in honesty respect , in attitude, and tender loving care. They should point out that the relationship between the two of them has to be developed before committing to any financial assistance towards her family and make it crystal clear that it is a non negotiable condition until enough time has passed for the foreigner to feel that the girl has a genuine desire to build a.Happy and loving relationship together.

I have to laugh at most of the men that have came over to Asia at an old age. Most don't have more than 10 year ahead of them at best. In 1966 at the tender age of 20 I was drafted and eventually sent to Vietnam. Saigon Vietnam the best place for a 20 year old American. I had already got my "Dear John Letter" in Basic Training and was really fed up with American girls breaking up with another one back in high school not to mention all the games I and to play with them.
My Saigon experience was a different world, I was hooked and wanted more of it after I was discharged and after a year in America making Ford cars on a assembly line outside of Kansas City I bought a one way ticket to Bangkok and got started on my first adventure. I spent a year back packing and meeting many Thai girls but realized that if I did not have a good income I was not really going to be able to fully experience Asia. I needed to get a good job and not having any real experience I knew I could start by getting a better education so I went back to America and using my GI bill and working part time I got a engineering degree from LSU . 4 months after graduation I got a job with an American company with a headquarters in Bangkok but the job was building an oil field in New Guinea. The job turned out to be really exciting flying out every morning by helicopter to the jungle and building pipelines. But it was not all work and no play. I worked 4 weeks of 12 hour days and then flown back to Bangkok for 2 weeks R&R with full pay. That meant in 1973 I was living in Bangkok making $2,500 a month that was big money then and I had a ball for 4 years.
I rented a home in Bangkok and hired a maid, I did this because I did not want a wife or even a girlfriend why buy a McDonalds when you can get all the hamburger you want for a dollar.
I was 26 when I started working only international and did not consider even a steady girlfriend (that I married 2 years later at 51) . All that time working making good money, having a great time and actually saving a lot of money at the same time. I really never counted how many women that I had the honor to enjoy could only make an estimate by how much free time I had during the year when I was not on a job in some remote area like a jungle or a desert but my formula was was based on 3 times a week and how many weeks I had free that year, so it was in the hundreds.
Finally at 48 I met a Thai girl that had just graduated from Medical School and a Thai government hospital have being treated for a minor work related injury. This girl was very special and 24 years younger than me. For what ever reason I stopped my single ways and never wondered again when it came to other women. Now 25 year later, 15 of them retired still living in Thailand and now building our second home. My wife now a division manager for one of Thailand's major health provider, a 17 year old son that will be leaving for college next year. I can truly say that dumping American women way back in my 20's was a smart thing to do. But it was even smarter moving over here to Thailand while still in my 20's and really enjoying life, and still do today at 77.
