It’s perfectly sound, just not the sharpest response to 1.e4. You get positions with a lot of imbalances which can easily play to your advantage if you are more familiar with the transformations.

I think the opening that can "beat" your opponent is King to e12, which is on your opponent's face.
That's the move they train in chessboxing all the time!
