Very interesting Celeste strain, watched this video several times. Started 2 chincoteague celeste plants from cuttings this Spring, they rooted and are growing vigorously. One will be planted here in CT, the other on Hilton Head Island. Your videos are fantastic.

Wow!! What a Gi-Normous Celeste Fig tree. The fruits are kinda big for a Celeste too! What's the name of that variety? Anyway, I had so much fun watching you both pick figs from that lovey gigantic tree. You'll need a 20 ft ladder. I'm in awe of it all and what a blessing it is to own such a tree! Thanks for sharing, that was very uplifting!!!

Beautiful large tree. How do they have that tree pruned or do they prune? Is it more bush or single branch? Making fig preserves reminds me of my grandmother. She made the best fig preserves. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Lou! I have a “Celeste” fig I bought from a big garden store in Texas but it has a breva crop and main crop it does not have that nice amber color I’m looking for. Is it really a Celeste?? Do you sell cuttings?

Looks like my mothers Celeste tree looked about 45 days ago. Huge and loaded and the heatwave and drought we’ve been experiencing the last two month’s down south made them so good. Best I can remember.

We're in a very dry period in Dallas Texas area. Hardly any rain for 1 1/2 months an my baby fig trees are producing tiny figs, just not getting any size at all.

Hi Greg! Sorry about your weather, but have you considered removing the small figs altogether? If watering them properly doesn't remedy the problem, you might want to consider culling your crop this year in order to minimize the stress on your fig trees. Regards from Lou Monti!

What type of Celeste are they ? Please !! I beg you Lou ,can you tell us?

Hi, Darius! In my opinion, there are some distinguishable differences (noteworthy, but not entirely dramatic) between certain strains of Celeste. I've discussed these variations many times in my videos. I like to draw a comparison to the Mount Etna's, for example, where the same basic fig variety can be found under many different name, some of which possess some slight differences from one another while still being close enough to consider them the same variety for practical purposes. Therefore, I highly recommend that a grower interested in acquiring ordinary Celeste experiment a little with several samples in order to ascertain whether or not a vigorous, productive, and tasty such varient has been obtained. Regards from Lou Monti
