@Kamden Jericho I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
This channel is insanely informative and the reviews are very well explained. I've had my eye on the expandable carrier for a while but I believe I might go for another option. Thank you!
I have been a cat owner for over 30 years, and most certainly these softer versions were not available. In fact my cat carriers got passed down. I have no clue on collar and harness training which is required when using these more modern versions. I also didn’t know cat carriers could be tethered. Most “old school carriers” only offered side entrance openings, which was at times challenging trying to get my cats into them without a fuss. We had to turn the carriers so that the openings were facing upright. Sometimes their claws would attach to the soft material on the floor of these carriers too. So from the get-go, an anxiety provoking experience for all of my cats. On the plus side, they were very secure for travelling locally to the vet. I am so glad there are so many options out there and worth the price of comfort and ✌️ of mind.
Merry Christmas, Mallory! 🎄 I hope someday you and Jackson Galaxy can do a collab! I'm always excited when you post a video. Your reviews are thorough, informative, and you speak really well.
I just brought my three cats to the veterinarian yesterday and I used two sleepypod airs with one standard hard box carrier. It was super easy to situate the sleepy pods into the car with the seatbelt and I could carry two cats with one arm. There would have been no way for me to handle three cats in three hard box carriers. Now I just need a wheelbarrow to lug around any extra cats I end up with haha. Thanks so much for suggesting the sleepypod, Mallory!!
I have the sleepy pod atom and air. As expensive as it was, I would say that it's soooo worth the purchase. I can't believe how high quality it is and I'm very glad I made the purchase. It's actually quite big o.o.. Will be flying with a puppy in a couple months, eeek!!
Please make sure you get your cat vaccinated for the feline herpes as I read a very long comment this morning that was heartbreaking about a guy whose cat ended up with feline herpes and regrettably the vet he took it to kept making the mistake of swearing the lysine would be all she needed but each time he went back they would only give her lysine and not the antibiotic that is normally used for cat herpes so anyway the poor cat lost her one eye to the herpes and then her other eye got infected and his descriptions were really horrible and basically it was eating away at the eyeball until it finally collapsed so he said that the night he took her in the middle of a snowstorm for an emergency vet hospital that she came home a different cat in the morning totally blind having to learn to adjust to her new life .😢 He says that she's handled it will but he's very angry that they never wants gave her the proper antibiotics which supposedly would have prevented this from happening to her eyesight . He never said if he sued but he certainly should have
And also there are ones that you can buy for your cat yourself that might not be as potent but could probably fight various kinds of infections and you can research : olive leaf glycerite in the dropper bottle . It's good for humans also but has other benefits
Great review.. I took my 2 cats on a necessary, 12 hrs car trip.. I joined 2 large traps together for each, stopped every 3-4 hrs to ck on them & clean their box.. They didn't like it a bit.. I can't imagine flying with them & maybe having a delay, Oh My !
I was so fortunate on my last flight with a cat. I adopted a cat in another city through Petfinder.com. I used some frequent flyer miles to go fetch her. The staff at the Rescue helped me walk Sushi through the TSA procedure of removing kitty from the carrier so it can be X-rayed and then returning her to the carrier. We went through this a few times. Bear in mind that this cat had seen me for three consecutive days prior to our flight, didn’t know me well, and is a very smart girl it turned out. She got compliments from the TSA staff! She dealt with the TSA procedure like a Star! I was so proud. I had a disposable litter box that I offered her in the ladies room during a layover but she didn’t care to use it. She was allowed to enter a restaurant with me where the wait staff oohed and ahhed over her. She sat in the waiting room with me with her carrier door open and the tether attached and people watched. Clearly I still remember this event with pride in this little cat. She’s 4.8 pound shaded silver teacup doll face persian. She has lots of opinions.
I just had my 15 lb. Cat escape from his Sherpa carrier while on the way to the vet. He was maniacal at tearing at the zippers ...and then... yes... he broke through the zipper side, leaving it "still zipped", but now separated. From there he bolted all around the car. Fun! I also had a cat escape from a hard sided carrier having the bolts that hold it together. She fought just as hard as he did and one of the bolts gave way enough that she squeezed herself through. That was the last time I ever saw her. All my cats are very loving but all of them were born feral. They all were trapped to catch them. None them will have anything to do with a carrier..unless they are in the throes of death already. I do wish there really was an escape-proof carrier.
I got 2 of the Sherpa ones for my cats. I love that these can fully collapse and be stored easily. The zippers only get stuck around corners. Zipping any square shape is difficult. Sherpa is soft and washable. It is held together with huge velcro straps. Carrying straps are comfortable.
We have the Sherpa ones , they're easy to carry , but be careful, our male cat who doesn't like us trimming his nails very often, was once snooping around the carrier we had kept in plain sight to accustomize the cats for a vet trip , got his thumb nail in the mesh and in his panic to undo it got his nail twisted and horribly caught in it. Needed to call all family members to help undo it as he was panicked and terrified within seconds.
thanks for the tip, i was looking at that mesh and was a little worried cause my cat (while he doesn’t mind nail trims) likes to scratch in carriers and still occasionally gets caught
@@littlewhale8086 it's great for calm cats , for older and restless cats I find the hard sided work better , the mesh is a tricky feature! May not work for all cats .
I’m so glad I found your channel, incredibly informative. I’m looking to adopt a cat in the near future. So I’m doing a lot research on which products/items to buy. Thank you, new subscriber here 🤗
I love this channel..i.have the soft sided carrier but he is getting to heavy now. They are cool for kittens but I'm learning it may not the best for adults. So this was perfect!
🐙 If you're going to do RIGHT by your cat the soft carriers are the ONLY way to go. Your cat's weight is irrelevant, what you want to look for is what the carrier is RATED FOR, the host of this channel gave that specification for the carriers she reviewed, and it looked like all of them are rated for at least 20 pounds or more, I have the #4 carrier she reviewed and I know it is rated for at least 20 pounds, and if your cat is above that weight YOU ARE BEING A BAD PET PARENT! Straight Up! Never let a pet get obese EVER! That is dangerous to their health! The most a cat should EVER weight and that's if your cat is a Maine Coon or a larger bread like that is 16 or 17 pounds. For most other breeds the ideal weight is 10 pounds OR LESS. The #1 carrier she reviewed really seems like a good one, if you can afford the extortion price for it, that price is a damn rip off! Otherwise I recommend getting the #4, I can tell you from experience, that one is a really good one, my lady enjoys it.
My cats get nervous and tend to do number one and/or two even on very short trips to the vet. I found that a hard sided carrier is ideal for cleaning once I get to the vet. Also, I think it's a good idea to bring a few cheap plastic shopping bags to put the soiled bedding/towels in and to bring extra bedding/towel for them to swap out if they have that problem.
@@kelleymcdaniel2129 my little buddy goes in on his own he doesn't have anxieties about the carrier I leave it out as his little house with toys inside.
🦔@@Divinenubian If you have that kind of a medical problem weight is going to be a challenge for you on your left side REGARDLESS of whether it's carrying in your left hand or on your left shoulder. My recommendation for you is either carry the carrier over your RIGHT shoulder, or get a pet carrier that is on wheels, like for example this one at Target www.target.com/p/gen7pets-cat-and-dog-roller-carrier-m/-/A-21405466?preselect=18833637#lnk=sametab
Have the Sleepy Pod and love it. Doubt I would use anything else. But there are a couple of downsides I'd mention that weren't addressed here. 1) Interior is black only, so difficult to see a black cat inside. I always keep a reflective collar on my girl to help with this. 2) Wish the interior could be removed for more through cleaning. If you're using squeezy treats or your cat vomits in the carrier you can only spot clean. 3) Because it's collapsible it can be difficult to train the cat to go in and out of it, as you have to find a way to prop it up if you have the cover partially unzipped.
i think an update is due cause in the last two years the popularity of taking cats around has really increased its not just when necessary so a lot more have popped up so it would be good to see those as well
Having this literally changed my life. We realized early on that our baby was showing signs of colic. Well he would be miserable for hours ! This carrier soothes him so much and keeps him close to my heart. He naps in it while I work from home also. I can breast feed him while wearing it! We love it so much we purchased a second one!!
Another great review video - thank you! Do you have a nail clipping / grinding tool comparison / review video on your roadmap? That would be really helpful :)
Are there sny good ones that have actual sestbelt clips? Have a great tabby approx. 12 lbs..we had a mr peanut brand but she hates it.think it's too small
Just an FYI/warning about the Sherpa for plane approval (apologies for the length of this comment, and I hope this makes sense): The Sherpa carriers have a limited list for each airline of the types of planes that each size carrier is approved for, and many airlines do not publicly publish their underseat dimensions on their websites. When I travel with my cat, I'm usually on a smaller Delta jet (an E170/E175, which has an underseat dimension of 7.8" -- No, that is not a typo. It is genuinely under 8 inches.). The Sherpa in any size is not approved for this plane. It is designed to squash down at the back, and I think can ultimately fit, but the Sherpa is not technically "Guaranteed on Board" for EVERY plane/airline/flight, which I did not understand when I purchased it. For this reason, I have ended up using a different cat carrier for plane travel (from company Pawfect Pets, which compresses completely at the top but leaves plenty of headroom for my petite, 8lb cat. It also has a little "treat pocket" to slip your hand in during the flight to give treats or a reassuring pet). The Sherpa is a great option for larger, standard sized planes and would be what I used if I traveled on large planes. I have a PDF of all the approved Sherpas for each plane per Delta underseat dimensions, but I can no longer find a link online, or I'd put a link in this comment! I'm happy to send it to anyone if they are interested; I wish I could still find the PDF online! The FlyerTalk forum also has helpful threads to figure out carrier dimensions for other airlines.
@@lise895 Every cat is different. Have you seen the RUclips videos where there are people who travel on a motorcycle with their cat in the back? But anyway maybe this cat loves to travel and also I have a friend who has two cats that are on a lot of different medication‘s so she has to take her cat with her when she travels as well
Hi there, I'm really glad that I found your channel because it has really helped me with looking for products for my cat. Could you please do a review for the best cat backpacks and could you also do a review on the new sleepypod pendant with engraving on it please? It would really be helpful if you could!! Thanks! 🐱🐱🐱
Thank you for this video! If your cats are adventurous, could you maybe make a recommendation video for harnesses? I'm really curious and want to buy a good one that doesn't restrict movement or rub wrong!
Has anyone traveled internationally with Lufthansa taking a pet cat into the cabin. If so, would you please share your experience and what carrier you used.Thank you
Hi, I wanna Thank you a lot for this video :) The airline i am travelling with asked for a kennel that respects these dimensions 16 L 8.5 H 10 W, i got a kernel that respects these dimensions but the only problem is the airline told me over the phone that my cat should be able to stand up in the kennel and also makes a 360 degree turn inside the kennel and i doubt that she can stands up inside. i also noticed that your cat is not able to stand up in those kennels that you presented to us that are airline approved so i was wondering if that would cause me a problem, because i have to respect the dimensions so she can fit under the seat and those dimensions would allow her to stand up properly so yeah i am Linda confused. I am sorry for this long message and i really thank you :)
I bought a Sturdibag for my pup, but my kitty uses it as his house and likes to travel in them too. Sturdi also has straps on the side you can buckle up in the car. I have XL and it is technically bigger than approved airline size, but i havent had an issue yet. You just lose more of leg room than L.... but overall, both my kitty and I are satisfied with Sturdi Bag!
🦔 @All About Cats hey you should do a lecture on stressed induced urinating in carriers, and how to prevent it from happening when taking a cat to the clinic.
Not a preventative measure, but you can use puppy pads on the bottom of the carrier to absorb urine in case it happens. I find that using a carrier (soft sided, e.g. Sturdy on this video) as an additional bed for your cat, always available to them, makes the cat go really easily into the carrier when needed for vet trips and stress out less because it’s a safe space for them.
I bought one of the Petmate plastic 2 door carriers for my cat that weighs 11 pounds. Unfortunately it was not strong enough and broke when I picked it up.
ALWAYS CALL THE AIRLINE BEFOREHAND When flying with your cats, calling the airline about the underseat dimensions and restrictions is a MUST. Not all planes allow for animals to ride in the cabin. Most planes have a limit on how many animals can be on the flight, as well as seating restrictions to avoid issues with passengers with allergies or phobias. I know that the only way you can book a flight with a cat/small dog on Alaska and Delta is to call them. It is not an option when buying tickets online to add animals. Guess that seems to be the best way these airlines have found to avoid any travel day problems. Also important to note is that most airlines only allow one animal per person/seat ticket unless they're small enough to fit together. Sadly, multiple animals usually means either one has to ride in cargo (which is not ideal at all) or getting a travel friend/buying two seats.
I have been researching airline approved cat carries. My main concern with the Sleepypod Air and the Sturdibag (well, except for the cost) is the perception that there isn’t adequate ventilation. I wonder if anyone has had issues with this?
It's really hard to say, Margaret. The mesh is finer on these two, and I can see that they could be less airy, but I don't know for certain. I wish I had a better answer for you!
What would you recommend for a large, belligerent cat? Shes not huge, but shes got enough of a wingspan that getting her into a carrier is a challenge when she fights it.
I need help please. How long cat can stay in small carriers like this during travel? How about travel for almost 20 hours via 2 flights with 1 transit?
I brought 5 cats home from an island in the South Pacific. That was an adventure. I lived there for two years and the mom cat adopted me and had kittens and I brought them all home. International travel required them to be in the cargo. This trip was 16 hour flight. They required the hard sided and zipped tied shut and with a water bottle. I was so glad to get them home.
Thankyou so much for this! Been wondering what a good carrier would be for my furbaby phoebe would be when we travel I want her to feel safe and not have any trouble in the airport or on the plane!
Carrier No.1 and 3 - too little air circulation in them. For international flight when there is enough stress I don't want to add a worry that my cat does not have enough air there.
I can tell you from experience that Amazon Basics can sometimes be poorly made. You really have to be vigilant with them. And keep in mind you do want your pet Safe!!!!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed it! Wessie has been trained to feel comfortable with modeling sessions, so he'll stay in the carriers or anywhere else he needs to be for a video shoot. Forest, on the other hand, only sticks as long as she has to and runs away as soon as she has the chance. Thank you again for stopping by!
Hi John, the carrier bodies are not machine-washable-at best, you can spot clean them with soap and water. The pad covers, however, are machine-washable. Hope this helps.
@all About Cats I was wondering if you could do a review of Cat Backpacks - separate from carriers. My cat is indoor, but I think she would like to go on an adventure outside, she is always trying to sneak outside. I dont want a cat carrier because they are kind of meshed and closed in, so the cat doesnt really get to look around. And those are more about carrying your cat somewhere rather than going on an adventure to see the world. There are a lot of different cat backpacks with some having a big window area in the back and others with just a small bubble to look out. Also construction seems to vary a lot. Could you take a look and see which backpack is the best, and in fact if this is something cats are interested in or if they would hate it?
Hi @All About Cats, what kind of harness are you using for your cats? And would you recommend taking your cats for a walk in it or only traveling? Thanks 🌸😻
Ok so my eyes are crossing over w/research. Help! What is the best for small, nervous cat + cross county drive? I keep seeing that it should be big enough so they can stand up / move around. Also, need to get it at the local pet co. Any ideas? Thx 🙏🏻 so much. I’m leaving soon …
Hey Rachel, if you can only go to the local Petco, just go in there and pick one that's pretty roomy and looks like it'll be comfortable for your cat. Make sure to include a pee pad and remember to provide a litter box somewhere else in the vehicle.
i burst out laughing when Forest slapped the top cover shut on the hard cover carrier xD!! Hey Mallory, do you still think the Sleepypod is the overall best carrier for most general uses? I'm looking to get two carriers before I start moving in the summer
It's a great carrier, and I haven't found anything better. The only concerns are if you're worried about spills or "accidents" in the carrier. In that case, a hard carrier is better, and I've also heard some worries about breathability with the comparatively dense mesh. It's hard to say whether or not those concerns are justified, but you can crack open one of the doors if you're worried.
Hi Sloane, no-unfortunately, we didn't try the round Sleepypod Mobile Pet Bed. From what I've learned from customer reviews, the round design seems to be somewhat less comfortable than that of the Sleepypod Air. If you'd like more information, we review the Sleepypod Mobile Pet Bed in our article on the best cat carriers. Scroll down to recommendation number seven. allaboutcats.com/best-cat-carrier Hope this helps! :)
By the way, recently some airlines like Hawiian have started to enforce that travel carriers must have 4 ventilated sides. The sleepypod sadly only has 3 ventilated sides.
With the ones that you attach to the luggage, the cat will be in an uneven position. I think it was another of your videos that it was recommeneded to put a towel under carrier in the cackseat of the car to make it level for the cat inside. Wouldnt this luggage idea be uncommfortable for the cat inside?
Wish there were more carrier options for 20 lb cats.. ~_~ my cat is so big and heavy. Could u maybe do a review on the sportpet city kitty carrier? It's a uniquely and more modernly designed take on the typical rectangular hard carriers. I just don't know how well it holds up and there's barely any videos on it.
I got a soft Sherpa. My kitten panics in the mesh versus hard plastic. Any recommendations for getting her used to the mesh? I've tried treats, toys, holding my hand in there with her... nothing calms her down. She hates that it collapses
Hmm...the mesh shouldn't be collapsing onto her if you have the right size, and it's hard to give tips other than just letting her get accustomed to it being in the house. This video has some advice on getting your cat used to a carrier/preparing them for car travel: ruclips.net/video/Pe4CteeMDso/видео.html&
Hi Mallory! Love your videos ♥️ random question not related to this video specifically but do you still feed your cats raw diet? I found an older video of one of your kitties eating a raw chicken wing. Was wondering if you still feed them raw and if not, why not? Thank you!!
Hi there! Even at the time that video was published, the raw feeding was only occasional. It's just a lot of effort to prepare raw and I've never been able to carve out the time or muster the discipline to do it consistently.
I'm sure vets like the hard carriers with removable tops best. The process goes much faster for an unwilling cat. Hard carriers are much safer for your cat in case you encounter an aggressive dog.
The SturdiBag is the only one that my giant cat will fit in. If you have a large car, the SturdiBag is the way to go. And yes, you can strap your seat belt to this.
I just flew from KBP - IST - SFO with two cats in the Sleepypod Air on Turkish Airlines... They only allow one pet carrier in business class, but as long as the total weight of the cats plus carrier is under 8 kg you can have two cats in one carrier... While ymmv, the flight attendants let us take them out of the carrier to sleep on our laps during the long haul portion of the flight, just keep them in harness. I've also traveled from Japan, to Germany and to Turkey with the sleepy pod air... As well as countless domestic flights. Cannot recommend this carrier enough.
Hi Ryan, Im glad to find your comments. I need to travel with 2 cats (exceeding 8kg for sure). How can i contact you (maybe IG) to seek for some experience and advice? Im super anxious honestly
Did you put 2 cats in 1 Sleepypod? I need to travel internationally with two cats and am finding it hard to find a small carrier that would fit both cats. Together they weigh 19 pounds, any advice?
@@calni27 Yes! I did put both of my cats in one Sleepypod Air. Combined they weighed about 16 or 17 pounds. If you intend to do this make sure to check with the airline you are flying on and see their specific rules. Each airline has different polices for stuff like this. I was flying with my girlfriend and as soon as we boarded we just took one of them out and put her into a different carrier because the flight attendants didn't care, they only were enforcing the one carrier in business class upon boarding. Good luck! If you have any other questions I'm happy to help out if you need!
I know this is dumb but does the animal poop/ pee in these carriers the ones that are not like a duffel bag how would you wash it .... sorry 😅 I’m curious , I’m getting a cat next week
Hey there! Ideally, your cat should not be pooping or peeing in any type of carrier. The idea is to let them out frequently enough that they can use a litter box, whether that's after your trip is over or by using a disposable litter box on the way. If, of course, your cat does go in the carrier, you'll have to spray out and sanitize a plastic carrier or use your washing machine to wash the cushion of your soft-sided carrier. You can wipe down the other parts of the carrier. Hope this helps and wishing you all the best with your new kitty!
@@AllAboutCatsYT and they go on the plane, in the bathroom? and what happens to the poopy litter box while you're still on the plane? P.S: just got my kittens 2 days ago and your channel is a blessing
I've recently started a travel job but my cat is scared of everything, any advice? Have you heard of a mobile cat tree something to make my cat more comfortable away from home.
Hi there! The closest I've found is the Trixie Fold n' Store, though it's not exactly the most portable item you could lug along with you while traveling for work. You might appreciate these tips from a site dedicated to traveling with cats: www.travelingwithyourcat.com/how-to-travel-with-a-scared-cat/
I need help!!! I need a cat carrier for air travel that is EXTREMELY durable, very well ventilated, and escape-proof, with strong mesh and locking zippers. My cat experiences *severe* travel anxiety and will pant heavily, so I need something with good ventilation to ensure that he can breathe properly. The sleepypod air seems to me like it doesn't have enough ventilation! Anyone else experience poor ventilation with the sleepypod air? I was hoping to sedate my cat prior to travel but my vet told me this is unethical and risky to his health. Please someone advise. I need something that he can't escape from and that he can breathe in.
have you thought about the sturdi bag one? seems like it might be a good fit for your cat. from what i saw, it has mesh that you can reveal so he can breathe, but you can also cover it so he's secure. it'd be best to get it as soon as you can and let him get his scent all over it + associate it with good things (treats, pets, food, etc.) so he sees it as a safe space. that might help cut down on his anxiety :)
@@rizmanrunx I purchased the SturdiBag and it was perfect. Highly recommend for an animal that will try and fight his way out of a carrier. I bought it six weeks before travel and left it out in the bedroom and trained him with it/with treats five minutes per day. This really helped. Day of travel - Feliway spray + gabapentin meds from the vet + sturdibag = completely successful trip. I recommend purchasing the SturdiBag directly from the manufacturer and not from Amazon. The manufacturer has newer bags, the SturdiBag 2.0… which has many improvements.
Nothing is escape proof to the determined cat. Soft or hard... always check the integrity of your carrier for anything loose or broken... and even then...if they fight hard enough... they may win. I have had 2 escape both Sherpa and a hard carrier.
The Sherpa carrier doesn’t seem comfortable for the cat when it is strapped to the suitcase when in movement… the bag would be tilted and the Sherpa material is only on the bottom of the bag; therefore the cat is sitting in a corner and resting on the extended suitcase handle.

@@puredragon28 good question. My cats are 8&10 lbs. They can turn around. Because the sides are flexible, I don't believe they feel cramped.
Thank you, new subscriber here 🤗
Literally needed this thanks
Thank you for reviewing this I will buy last one for my cats again thank you so much
Omg thank you!!! This video was much needed.
Glad to hear that it was what you needed!
@@Hardin9 you should relax you sound crazy.

I love your channel, its so wholesome ♡ just here dreaming of getting a cat lol
Aww, thanks, Erin! I'm happy to hear you enjoy it, and I hope you're able to make that dream come true soon.
On Chewy's website it says the padding is machine washable and can be removed.
I think the removablitlity has been changed.

Do you know of any carriers that have wheels and can comfortably carry a 22-pound cat? Why are there so few carriers on wheels?
Just an FYI/warning about the Sherpa for plane approval (apologies for the length of this comment, and I hope this makes sense):
The Sherpa carriers have a limited list for each airline of the types of planes that each size carrier is approved for, and many airlines do not publicly publish their underseat dimensions on their websites.
(Also, thank you as always for this very informative review, Mallory!!)
Why do you travel with your cat? That’s abuse!!! You should only travel with a cat if you’re moving
@@lise895 Every cat is different. Have you seen the RUclips videos where there are people who travel on a motorcycle with their cat in the back?
Thanks for sharing your experience!
How do you transport cats on LONG distance say a 12 hour road trip
Hi there. Have you done a review on the best slings or front packs for carrying cats? I will be needing something in the front, not the back.
Not yet! We'll consider it.
@@AllAboutCatsYT we've got to get a couple pretty soon. Have you heard of a good one?
I bought one of the Petmate plastic 2 door carriers for my cat that weighs 11 pounds. Unfortunately it was not strong enough and broke when I picked it up.
That's terrible. I hope that you got a refund; that shouldn't have happened.
ALWAYS CALL THE AIRLINE BEFOREHAND
When flying with your cats, calling the airline about the underseat dimensions and restrictions is a MUST.
Hi, i need guidance about travelling with cat from Asia to Europe for more than 10 hours flight.
Hi Rizman, just responded to your other comment on this subject. Hope it helps!
Ty vm, helped much
What would you recommend for a large, belligerent cat? Shes not huge, but shes got enough of a wingspan that getting her into a carrier is a challenge when she fights it.
I want to inquire about the size of pet suitcases required by most airlines? thanks
Please consider reviewing the American Journey cat food line from Chewy, I'm curious to know your thoughts!

Are the cloth Carriers machine washable?

Hi! Based on your experience what is you opinion of the Sherpa Forma Frame, I need a safe carrier for air/car travel, thanks!!
Hi there Albert! The Sherpa Forma Frame looks like it could be an excellent alternative to the Sleepypod Air.
I love your Cats!!!
i burst out laughing when Forest slapped the top cover shut on the hard cover carrier xD!!
@@AllAboutCatsYT I see, thanks so much! Really appreciate ya

I'm not really a fan of putting them on the roller luggage; it's a convenient idea for short walks but not ideal for all the reasons you mentioned.
Wish there were more carrier options for 20 lb cats.. ~_~ my cat is so big and heavy. Could u maybe do a review on the sportpet city kitty carrier? Do you have any comments or opinions on knapsack carriers?
I'm not sure what you're referring to as "knapsack carriers". Can you name a particular product that you would classify this way?

The nylon woven carriers look like they would be difficult to thoroughly clean and sanitize.

Hi, may I know what was your solution?
@@rizmanrunx I purchased the SturdiBag and it was perfect. Highly recommend for an animal that will try and fight his way out of a carrier. I bought it six weeks before travel and left it out in the bedroom and trained him with it/with treats five minutes per day. This really helped. Day of travel - Feliway spray + gabapentin meds from the vet + sturdibag = completely successful trip. I recommend purchasing the SturdiBag directly from the manufacturer and not from Amazon. The manufacturer has newer bags, the SturdiBag 2.0… which has many improvements.
@@jonezcrackity thanks a lot for the great advice, truly appreciate it!!
Nothing is escape proof to the determined cat. Soft or hard... always check the integrity of your carrier for anything loose or broken... and even then...if they fight hard enough... they may win. I have had 2 escape both Sherpa and a hard carrier.
Best collar
Man what a cutie.
Shouldn't the cats be able to stand and turn around in the carriers?
Yes, they should be able to stand and turn around.
The Sherpa carrier doesn’t seem comfortable for the cat when it is strapped to the suitcase when in movement… the bag would be tilted and the Sherpa material is only on the bottom of the bag; therefore the cat is sitting in a corner and resting on the extended suitcase handle.
