I take my princess Pea cross country schooling to see if I can turn this ex-racer into an eventer but it doesn't quite go to plan. We still had a fun morning, lot's more work to do on our XC phase :s.

I am so proud of this little horse! I was initially quite disappointed as I really thought our jumping would come together a bit more out in the field but we will get there, just more practice and confidence-giving sessions needed and I am sure we will be flying. :D

Haha he certainly keeps us entertained but he's a superstar for putting up with me and being dragged along. She definitely was feeling a lot more confident 🥰

I'm sure she will. She just took me by surprise at fence two...won't be entering a hunter trail there haha 😂

This was great, watching Pea learning. Real laugh too. You're so good at calm perseverance. Progress, definitely progress.

@@ceciliavondehn4402 Thank you. Yes it's not too far from us so it is quite handy, especially with the smaller fences available :)

Well you just need to avoid confrontation don’t you so that you can just keep taking positive tiny steps forward without sowing seeds of doubt. But rock on, great work. I am sure there is a massive powerhouse jump in there especially once those top line muscles build up and the power comes from behind. 👏👏👏

@@user-fg6kg1dn7w She's ex hurdle so she deffo has a jump, it's just getting her confidence doing different things bless her. It will come :) we have a fun ride booked with some nice a small rustic fences for us to try in a couple weeks so hopefully it's still fresh in her mind and we can improve on this session :)

Fence 2 looked like an uphill trakehner. Im not surprised she didnt want to take it being so new and the dead grass may have made it look bigger. Shes a nice horse with a good brain. Youre lucky.

Honestly, I think it was because my hubby was standing on the log beside it and she didn't want to jump with him standing above her. She's a little star either way :)
