    This is a late comment. Am new to the S x S world. Picked up an 06 Ranger 500. Upgrading and fixing little things now. All the Rzr owners go bigger on rims and tires it seems. Tons of OEM aluminum take off rims available for next to nothing. Not sure how tall I could go and don’t know about offset either. Long learning curve. Thanks for the video

      Your 2006 will have 3/8" studs. Most of the newer RZR and Rangers have bigger 12mm studs. Something to be aware of. I have a bunch of videos on the older Rangers.

      I am playing with the psi on them. Trying to find the sweet spot. Nothing to complain about so far.

      The biggest thing you can do to improve the look of any vehicle is change out rims and tires. I had to do a bit of modifying before I could get what I wanted but really happy with what I have now.

    Enjoy the videos as always!!!! Do you notice a difference from these 28" tires over the 27" you installed on the blue 900? Would you recommend the 28's over the 27's?

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  4 года назад +1

      These 28" tires measure out as 27" mounted on 7" wide rims. The Super Swamper 27" tires were a true 27". I think a 27-28" tire is perfect for these 900s.

    Big Difference in tires.... Looks much better....That socket is a thin wall socket....for tight clearance issues.. 🇺🇸👍

    Great lookin wheel and tire set up. What size wheel and tire were the factory set?

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  5 лет назад +1

      Factory rims are 12". I think they come with 25" tires. This Ranger was a base model with the power steering so they come with the cheapest tires they can find. Some of the better models come with 26". Still not big enough I think.

    This is a good video especially the part with Rusty. No but seriously those tires look REALLY good, I wish they made those for my truck 235 85 16 LR E.

      For a truck I would go with BFG.

    Mossman, I’m hoping to get your thoughts, I subscribe to your videos very helpful, I have a 2014 ranger 900 Xp Im running the original tires 26x9x14, wanting to go with either 28x10x14 or 29 , I don’t want to add a lift kit to the machine, just add little extra height with tires - my buddy thinks they will be to heavy and I will damage front end ? Your thoughts? I only run in National Forest 2x yr, and around my property maybe 200 miles per year- thx

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  4 года назад +2

      I think a 28 is the perfect size. They are actually a 27" tire. You really need forward a-arms to fit them without a lift. They will clear mostly without anything but will rub at full turn and rub worse with suspension flex. I don't think 28" tires will add that much more wear to the front end.

      Yup, still have the 6x6. It's for backup and hard work.

    Can you put same size tire on front and back? Since the Ranger does come with wider on rear

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  4 года назад

      If you are talking about putting the same size tire on the factory rims I would be careful. The rear rims are wider and that could change the overall height of the tire. With the 4wd system you need the same size tire front and back.

    Im always on the lower side of air pressure. Can't stand a hard tire all you feel its every little ruck root and bump drives me nuts lol

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  5 лет назад

      There is a trade off for more air pressure. I don't like the mushy feeling of soft tires. The 900 has a pretty good suspension to soak up bumps.

    What lug nuts did you use with those wheels? The factory ones do not work

    • @mossman381
      @mossman381  4 года назад

      My rims came with new lugs. The 900 wheel studs are bigger than the older Rangers so make sure you get the right size. This should be the size you need: amzn.to/2PiAAhf
