Replicas are all made exactly the same, so he did not put them reverse. I got them too. Basicall original style 21 are in pairs or pairs. Fronts are 8.5J, rear are 9J I think. Also shuriken is not the same for left and for right side. When on the ground, shuriken of left and right side look reversed. Unlike replicas. Shuriken on replicas on right side are turnes correctly.
Nice mod, definitely worth it, the car is much faster now. It would be nice if you can find someone with Dragy and repeat the test. From what i found on my car with Dragy, real 0-100 time, gps tested, are around 0.3-0.5s slower than just timing on the tacho. Keep it up!
Hi from NZ. If you replace the shocks and all the suspension bushes that could take a second or more off the 0-100 (and ur dad will think ur a genius!). Hey a good tip with the rear subframe bushes. Use the cars weight to push them out. At 325000 kilometers, you know they are fkd as haha and by how it launches it quite bad I think. Good tip #2 - the exhaust cam of the M52 has more lift than the intake cam of the M50. Good tip #3 - Overheating. My 525i had this. It was not the cooling system. It was the plastic shroud in the heater switch motor for the aircon. This is a really cool idea to seal the water from the electric motor. This item pumps warm water into the aircon. A small crack in this plastic cup leaked water out and air in. Start engine and the air gets pushed around to the pump where it would cavitate. Stop engine because its hot, and air floats back to the heater switch because it is the highest place, and water level looks ok. Aggrrrrrrr Nightmare!!! But now you know.
I own a 1995 E34 in Thailand. Replaced engine and transmission out of a half cut E34 imported from Japan. Engine and transmission had 60000 ks so it's a fabulous car. Recently replaced shocks all round ( Bilstien ) and lots of other stuff. Great video

Not sure if it's 280whp mate. You can raise the boost easily, im running 0.8-1 bar on the same engine and theres no problems with the engine after some time of abuse, they're really bulletproof!
Isn't it still illegal in Norway to add more power or do you need to pay additional taxes for power (or did they get rid of all of that)? Bet you have all the new power on the top-end only, so without dumping the clutch in the start, you won't see that much more. I was guessing 6s flat.

Don't know how much boost your running but in Sweden its sorta common finding turbod e36 325s running about 0.8-1 bars of boost making 600-700 hp with only bigger fuel pump, bigger injectors and a stronger headgasket.
Well I have a 95 525i & I've put a performance exhaust & done the cold air intake & had it chip tunned & it hits 60mph in 7.4 & will top 145 cost around £400 for the upgrades & I think a turbo conversion is at least £2000 so I don't see the big deal oh & my car is auto

at wikipedia you can see that 525 has 192 or 170 hp depending to which model of engine it has...why does yours had 140??or what wikipedia and bmw says is not wheel power but engine ?

I have founded here in Germany there is 4 versions but with 84.5mm 86 and 87mm all with 2mm thicknes.. In M50B25 all pistons are 84mm.. does this 84.5mm would fit on it ? Btw. on wheel my have 169HP! :)

Now dont get me wrong, I like the video. But I would like to offer some improvements: With 71k subs, I would expect a little bit more scientific approach. A dragy GPS timer is 150 Eur, surely you could afford that? Or borrow something similar from someone. I dont get how you can get twice the horsepower with .5 bar of boost if I heard you correctly? This baffles me a bit... Speedlimits and all that, but 0-100 kph is a terrible way to test power. There is a reason just about everyone in europe tests 100-200, it takes almost everything but enginepower out of the equation. And its better for the drivetrain as well. Still though, as I said, nice video.
I think you are making a big mistake! The stock 2.5L engine in E34 525i is not 140 PS, it produces 192 PS!! Anyway, you are a pretty good driver and blow-off noise of your car is quite weird!!
Yes 2.5liter is 192ps, but that`s engine horsepower. Wheel horsepower is something else. Mt 525i with turbo has now 280whp. but in the engine around 340ps :) It`s wierd, but the difference between engine and wheel horsepower is alot. My s14 has 400hp, but only 326 at the wheels. The blow of noise is because I don`t have a blow off valve.
@@FahreFilms I know the difference between whp and flywheel hp. When you said 140 hp, I didn't know you are talking about whp. It was just a misunderstanding! Usually, RWD cars have around 20% drivetrain loss and I think the same story applies to your car too. I love people like you who are interested in 1990s youngtimers such as E34 and E36. Cars of that era are the best.

in Germany we call the Wheels Schaufelräder, and you Mounted the Tires the wrong Way, they are there to get air directly to the Brakes and cool them

These wheels are not mounted backwards the spokes are shaped to pull air inwards to the brakes just look properly
Hey, i have 2 e34's and both with 18" rims but the tacho is at 100km/h 92km/h on GPS.... maybe check the time on a GPS 😉.

a cool project would be a clean e34 shell (zero rust/factory new looking) and buying a n54 engine then swaping into the clean e34 shell.

Why bother with the N54 when the M50 exists, comes stock on the E34, and is much cheaper, simpler and stronger, and suitable for boost. M50 rocks 🤟

Cars lose power over the yrs due to engine wear
You should rebuild the vanos unit on almost all motors it is worn out and you'll get alot better spool and low down torque when u rebuild it.

Yes correct. 192hp is engine power. 140 is dyno numbers at the wheel!

It is dynoed to 280whp. and with 15-20% power loss in the drivetrain you add it up to 340-350hp in the engine :)
