Best Things to See & Do in SINGAPORE - 2 Day Stopover: Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, Supertrees

- In this video of Living the Jo life, we visit Singapore to show you the main attractions that you can see during a 48-hour stopover. We started our first day at the Merlion, which is an 8.5 m tall statue with the body of a fish and head of a lion and is the symbol of Singapore. From there, we walked along the waterfront to the other side of the inlet to explore The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and take in the amazing views from the observation deck of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Next stop was the ArtScience Museum, where we visited the Future World exhibit with lots of interactive installations, including the Crystal Universe, consisting of 178,000 colored LED lights. From there we headed to the nearby Gardens by the Bay, where we visited the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest exhibitions. A short stroll from there, we went to Supertree Grove, where we went up to the 22 m high OCBC Skyway with spectacular views of the supertrees, Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer. After the Skyway, we walked through the park and across the water via the Helix Bridge for a sunset walk along the Esplanade. We made it to Chijmes just after sunset for a well-deserved break and dinner. We started the following day with shopping spree along Orchard Road, where you a spoilt for choice when it comes to shopping. After some retail therapy, we caught the MRT over to the Singapore Flyer, which is one of the world’s largest Ferris wheels. The ride took just over 30 minutes and offered some amazing views over Singapore city, Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. Next stop was Clarke Quay and Boat Quay, which are great areas to enjoy entertainment, live music and dinner at one of the many restaurants. We finished off the day with a Singapore Sling at the famous Long Bar at the iconic Raffles Hotel. Next morning, we were off to Changi Airport, where we spent a bit of time at the Jewel Shopping Center, which is connected to the three main terminals at the airport and is famous for its 40 m tall Rain Vortex, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. We had a fantastic time in Singapore, and we can highly recommend a holiday or extended stopover in this beautiful and modern Asian metropolis.

Well I have heard a lot about Singapore but in my wildest dreams [I have had some wild dreams😵💫] this is the most spectacular and most beautiful one I have ever seen. How on earth can a city look so clean and beautiful and green. Its like a showcase of the most beautiful things the world has to offer. Same! I love walking around when traveling. When I go to London, Berlin, Vienna, etc, I always opt for walking more than taking the public transportation. A day of walking would easily reach 20k steps, great for health also as I wonder in the beautiful sights!

@@jsanon1634 Yes we keep it simple and use equipment that is easy to travel with. We record using our Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra phones. Amazing what these cameras can do. We plug in the DJI external mic to get a better sound. We have just bought a switch pod which I am really enjoying using.

Other than this tourist spots you can go to haW par villa it teaches u about the 18 levels of hell and there is a history of why that was built its really interesting and do some research before u go as it may be traumatizing for some people to see sculpture of "hell" . And for fid hawker centres have good yet cheap food
Maybe you miss the Zoo, Bird park (both same location)
and Botanic Gardens ( UN heritage site )😊
