i was in the RAF for twelve years. Had a great time. If you like sport you'll love the RAF cos they love people who like sport! Plenty of time for it as well. Basic trng isn't that hard..get fit before you go and do as you're told with plenty of effort and you'll breeze it...honestly. They don't expect olympic athletes or recruits to be good at everything but they do expect EFFORT! do that and it can make up for short-falls in other areas..because it gets noticed in your favour. Good luck.
+Nick Nick honestly thanks for this because i run but i was scared i had to be like professional fit. like me being female doing a top level male athletes training. but i really really want to go into the RAF as a career path
U dont even have to be that fit to past the fitness tetsa its all in u head ,determination and will power is all that is needed and to think that u can do it
You also need the right diet which nobody mentioned... You can't just fuel in crap and expect the results to be diamonds! The right diet is more important than any fitness
I'm currently an Air Cadet and I was wondering if you could do a video about how air cadets can get into the Royal Air Force and how it helps the process or even if it gives you a better chance getting in? #Norfolkandsuffolkwingisthebest
You don't need to be an Air Cadet to apply for any role in the RAF. You only need to meet the entry requirements for the role you wish to apply for and all of the eligibility criteria for the RAF. All of this is listed on the RAF Recruitment website: www.raf.mod.uk/recruitment You time in the Air Cadets may be of use during phase one training and knowledge of the RAF etc. But it's not a necessity for RAF application. What the hell are you on about? I don't think you know what your saying. Plus if your eating over your calorie needs your going to put on weight. The amount of muscle and fat depends on the type of food you eat and the exercise you do.
I worked in the Royal Air Force for 4 years. One of the best things I've done in my life was to leave. Remember, they can treat you like an expendable piece of shit because you won’t have the rights that civilians have. Don't believe all the crap you see in the recruitment videos. Go into Google, type 'abuse in the Royal Air Force', read it, then make a sensible decision.
