  • That's right NavaTheBeast and Kyle back went at it again but instead of doing the Marine PFT we both tried to knock out the Air Force PT test or the USAF fitness test. This is NavaTheBeast's first time attempting to do the Air Force PT test. If you guys are curious to see how we did in this Airman vs Marine video be sure to watch until the end! Thanks for supporting the US armed forces! God Bless!

    Yep; we all know that marines are generally more physically strong while airmen are generally more academically strong. In the end, though, the differences are small and are really more due to the differences in specialty. Marines need to be more physically strong because of their increased combat role. Airmen have a lot more jobs that are less physically demanding, but require more intellectual capability. However, both branches require both qualities. In the end, both are part of the United States military.

Usmc, AF, Army, Navy and Coast Gaurd could honestly care less about anything more than making you pass tests as they know youll shape up in boot camp. They were giving guys and gals at MEPS several more pullups than they finished as well. Special Force guys all destroy marine regiment for PT so not a clear winner. Its 9-12 weeks of PT unless your infantryman youll never sweat again. So many debates about comparing branches when the guys who arent debating are the ones who literaly run 18 miles every morning through careers in our Special Forces. In my opinion, even before I joined the Armed Forces, I believed you shouldn't talk down on pretty much anyone who has served, because they made the sacrifice that the accuser didn't, which is risking their lives VOLUNTARILY I might add, to selflessly serve their country. ON THE COMMAND ‘GO’, BEGIN THE PUSH-UP BY BENDING YOUR ELBOWS AND LOWERING YOUR ENTIRE BODY AS A SINGLE UNIT UNTIL YOUR UPPER ARMS ARE AT LEAST PARALLEL TO THE GROUND. THEN, RETURN TO THE STARTING POSITION BY RAISING YOUR ENTIRE BODY UNTIL YOUR ARMS ARE FULLY EXTENDED. But, to be honest, that's how I've done pushups during an APFT before and 2 out of 3 graders will accept it as close enough.

      @@wilhard45 I guess I don't understand the "for fun part", the weird flex of being an Infantryman, being over the age of 50 and actually reading the comment section, why you don't wanna be my bro, and why I was irritated by this video to begin with. These guys aren't really hurting anyone, they're just showing me those sweet zeros. Bro.

    There's also a huge difference in the number of reps for pushup/situp and run time for the PT between males and females, and age.

    Right away the push ups were done incorrectly. Maybe you should ready the proper way to do them.
    “Begin by lowering your body to the ground until your upper arms are at least parallel to the floor (elbows bent at 90 degrees) then return to the up position (arms fully extended but not locked). This is one repetition.”

    I think a better way of doing it to see who’s more challenging is for a Marine to actually go to Air Force boot camp and vise versa and than let them both speak about the differences they felt.

    People talking shit on those push ups and they probably don't know air force standard push ups which you have to go down to where your arms break 90 and come up without locking out your elbows

    • @thehof8493
      @thehof8493 8 лет назад +2

      Did them correctly for 6 years. You both did garbage push-ups. Nava's were way worse though. What was the range on his? Like 20 degrees? Going down to 90 and coming back up to 110, maybe 115 is not a push-up. You don't have to fully extend but at least come up past 150.

      All you have to do is bob your head during push-ups during the Pt test for it to count. It's fuckin pathetic.
