Hey, this might be a stupid question, but how do you get the powder on the part where it's being suspended from? Like if you're hanging it from a wire, how do you get it under the wire where it's holding on to the part? Can you move it without running off the powder? Thanks

There is a ground wire attached to the part. This causes the part to be grounded and then the powder coat is electronically attracted to the part.

Hi there, nice things you do there. do you know anything about epoxy coating???? they used to put "iron mostly" parts in a pool with epoxy to make it high resistant for many years to rust. True is using it in his refrigerator wire shelves. it supposed to be more resistant from powder coating

    hi john
whe you say 400 degrees, you are talking in fahrenheit, right?
    means 205 degrees celsius right?
because i am trying to find a toaster in eurpo that goes at least to 400 degrees celsius and can only find till 250 degrees
in america you use fahrenheit thats why i think you must be talking in fahrenheit

Last night i was reading on instructables about using a garment bag as a spray paint enclosure. folds up and out of the way when done. I am sure if it was a good idea a shop vac could be hooked up to suck out the fumes, and out the window. I dont know how expensive a tank of nitrogen is to fill up at a welding shop, but it has no moisture dryer to get the moisture out.
    Now to ebay

Regarding the air compressor method vs non air compressor method.

its a bowl "or a tank for industry" you baptize the peace inside and after that you hang it to dry "probably room temperature" probably the bowls needing a heater , this epoxy chemical is developed to make high resistant in humidity "like a refrigerator wire shelve" because the standard way is to galvanize the steel and after that powder coat the shelve, while the other way was just to coat the steel with a plastic coating "similar to epoxy process" but with very few years of life.

It seemed to me that the one requiring the compressor wasted less material, maybe since you could regulate the flow more? Is this correct or am I just having the wrong impression? Can the air flow be regulated on this Craftsman one? Thanks a lot for your videos and in advance for your response.

Till today i never manage to learn the epoxy name, but is surely existing as true coating refrigerator shelves with it.
the disadvantage will be for sure the fat material layer in not the same thickness, that will have impact in details.
But its a solution for some things since galvanized is very dirty thing and of course its very difficult to send one or few peaces to galvanized
If i ever learn the name i will pass you the information, if you learn it before me please don't forget me

when powder coating, especially when the work/powder is not contained in a box, you should wear a mask! Powder coating powder is essentially powdered plastic. you do not want it to coat your lungs. it is also not great for your skin and can cause rashes.

before anyone rushes to find one of these still on eBay (e.g. LootHive)... the black plastic was utter trash and has deteriorated past a bad joke into a present danger: the handles break off and everything crumbles like biscuit with the slightest knock, sending a shower of black crap into the fan. Even the 2 halves snap when carefully re-assembled. Mine showed previous ineffective, internal glued repairs. Avoid like the plague! It was a good design, even if primitive, but terribly badly executed.
