Hi Nikki, I grabbed your guide for top brands and got unguided already in 3 major brands and making money already. THANK YOU! One question, how often do you adjust price on your fba items (clothing especially) for brands like adidas, nike, UA, if the rank is 90,000 and under? Plus do you look at the annual average rank or 180 days rank when buying those brands? Thank you
@@misa.hdez1 awesome! Congrats! I look at the prices everyday and I make some adjustments as needed but not until like 2-3 months of it being there still do I start to move them more
@@NikkiKirk thank you, how about the rank, do you look at the yearly or 180 rank?
@@misa.hdez1 I look at it now and the past 3 months typically
Lowe's and Home Depot take tax exempt. Both also have sign up portals online and then you print your tax exempt card.
Thanks!!
Very much impressed with your business model and being so vibrant enough to load your inventory to keep going! Great, I was going thorough your Amazon Store and impressed further by see the various 8 different line ups of your listings. Kind thanks to knowledge sharing.
Thanks for the video!! Very helpful info.
I just ordered one of your ungating guides!
Awesome! 🖤
Thank you for an engaging and informative video
Thank you for useful information once again, Nikki!
I have been searching for a clear answer for this issue but could not find any good response anywhere, If Amazon collects and remits sale taxes on your behalf, are you still required to get a sales tax number in states you have nexus, or only in the 3 states for which Amazon does not collect taxes for you? (Florida, Kansas, Missouri). Because otherwise its so easy to have a nexus in any state cause amazon send and ships from warehouses all around the states. On the other-side it would be a lot of work to file for each state you have nexus but zero dollars to remit (Because Amazon already did.) thanks for the response in advance,
Thank you! very helpful.
They wouldnt do tax exempt for me at Ross either. I ask every time just in case there is a person that knows how to do it...lol
Haha! They’re so weird
Ross finally addressed it on their website. Their contracts they sign they agree not to sell to resellers / retailers. That's why they don't take it. Save the receipts file on taxes.
I used the online method to upload mine for Walmart and still they made me go in and get a card so it useless. Dollar Tree & Dollar General take it too but have to take a copy every time.
So when you do pay sales tax at a store. It means you pay the store where you bought it sales tax Plus the state it gets shipped to once someone purchases it?
By doing tax exempt it means your not being double taxed? Is this how you mean you saved money?
2 days in a row, at 2 different Walmarts, the managers told me they "don't do that in-store. Thats all done online." So irritating, especially in California where resale is big.
Did you go to the customer service desk? That’s weird. I would just go to another one. I couldn’t get it to work online
@@NikkiKirk Yes, I did! I just filed for my online one, but need one for in-person more. Knowing Walmart does this, but my stores aren't informed, is incredibly frustrating. The manager yesterday took down my info and said he'd look into it, but 🤷♀️
@@walkinfaithnotbysight I have that problem at my Walmarts here, too. I just think the employees are generally uninformed most of the time.
I had to do it online
@@karendelacruz733 I was approved for online, but in-store exemption is setup at customer service. I've now been to 3 different locations and no go :(
Michael's and Hobby Lobby
When do you recommend getting a tax exempt card? I’m in the research process and waiting for my sellers account to get verified. I’m going to be doing most of my sourcing at Walmart.
Late to the party. Have you used it in walmart in different states?
Grocery Outlet doesn't take it. Since Ross does not, I only shop there on Tuesdays for the 10% senior discount.
Thank you for sharing this info. I am in the beginning stages and very excited!! Im curious to know is there a minimum purchase amount or quantity to use it? say I only buy 5-10 items opposed to 100 or more does it matter?
Hi! Can you show how to fill out the Texas Sales and Use Tax Certificate form?
You keep talking about a paper and I’m kinda confused, what paper?
Sorry! The print out of your sales tax license
Hi Kiki, thank you for the video! what about tjmaxx and marshalls? do they also take tax exempt?
I’m just starting out and live in Oklahoma. So if I get a sales tax certificate for Oklahoma I can still use that in other states as well correct? I believe that’s what you’re saying. We want to start traveling in a motorhome (similar to you!) so we will be in many different states. My Oklahoma tax certificate will then work in most states? (Except Arizona it seems! 😂😂)
Yep!
Do you need to fill one out for every walmart you go too, and Marshalls and other stores ect?
Walmart gives you the card and you show to the cashier every time you checkout. Marshall’s you have to take your license in every time
@@NikkiKirk , what I mean is can you use the same walmart card for every walmart you go into? or do you have to fill one out for each individual walmart?
@@MBReviewsAndMore yes, it’s one card you keep and use at every Walmart.
Hi Nikki nice videos thanks for all of that, is that possible you make video about bank account. What I mean is by that should we open a Business bank account or we can just use our regular bank account for Amazon? Which one is better at end when we do the tax returns?. Thank you again
OPEN A BUSINESS ACCOUNT. Helps keep your finances in order. You might have to get an LLC with your state.
Nikki said it can be a regular account as long as separate from personal.
Does your premium ungated guide cover electronics . .
is it possible to get a tax exempt in illinois?
Interesting
Burlington work too?
yes
So when you use the certificate to purchase a product do you have to track what state it sold in and then remit that money back to that particular state once you collect it from the sale?
To my knowledge (again, not an expert) you are paying sales tax to the state that the product is sold in. So you are paying it to Florida if the customer is buying and shipping to Florida. When you buy wholesale you don’t then turn around and pay sales tax to the state you bought it from, it’s the state the tax is charged in on the end consumer level
Ross has a discount on Tuesday for over 55. Just say you are a member of the 55 club. They dont ask for proof of age.
@@NikkiKirk I think I understand. It just seems like a lot of tracking of products to know which state the product went to. Someone mentioned Inventory Lab might track this for you. Do they? Or is there another software that can be used to track this?
@@Stridermd there are currently only 3 states you have to track. Amazon does all the rest for you and Florida should be one they do soon as well so it’ll be two. Tax Jar is who helps you with this. I don’t use IL they may as well.
