The worst scare I got in this game (apart from the first time the Dam broke and swatted me like a fly) was in that little garden area right after the hand teleport in Endless Canyon. I was creeping around and took a quick focus to see what was in front of me, accidentally hit the guy right in the eyes. So he screeches and starts approaching, and Im backing off trying to stay hidden... but hes staring me down instead of charging. So im slowly backing away wondering why he isnt trying to run me down, lantern concealed... when his friend grabs me from behind. I had no fucking idea there was another one there. I nearly shat myself.
I was so happy that I discovered a coward's way around by sending down the elevator before turning the lights off and going in through the cinder isles tower, because I could not handle those frights.
@@ItsCrayon nah bro. the scenario mentioned by this guy just happened to me today. i was trying to lure the owlelk in the rock garden but he kept staring at me with lights on and i turned back and his friend was right beside me. I know for sire that there is 4 aliens in endless canyon. 3 actively patrols the area and 1 waits at the ground floor.
All reduced frights does is make them move slower, btw! So you can actually easily run past them or kite them, whereas without reduced frights they're faster than you.
I was so happy when I got the idea of how to do that. Attempted to go through the "normal" way and didn't dare do it again. Was so happy I figured out the shortcut
I turned around in one of the rooms after looking around and he was RIGHT THERE in the doorway. My heart literally stopped, it hurt so bad for a while after that. Had to turn the game off lol. Also not sure what Reduced Frights turned on does but it doesn't seem to really do much of anything.. I still get spooked by these guys when they appear in my face suddenly.
Reduced fright prevents them from sprinting so they can only slowly walk towards you, makes it really easy to bait them out with a quick shine and then walk around them
Look in internet for skiping that zones, or maybe do what i did, put off your headphones and playing whitout sound, the end is wonderful and deserve it all the scare
@@LemonFilmsForever They also don't yell when they see you, nor do they chase you out of certain areas. It actually makes it very difficult for them to get caught if you are not expressly trying ir .I activated it after passing the game to get some easier achievements.
it just makes their AI less intelligent and changes some animations. They're slower and less likely to catch you and won't scream when they do catch you. It's not something you would notice unless you were looking for it.
Lmfao, I was thinking about turning on reduced frights because it's 3am and I live alone and I'm scared shitless. This game does horror perfectly. All he does is blow out your flame but somehow it's so frightening. Constructive criticism: your clicky keyboard is annoying. I'd get quieter switches if you're serious about youtube/streaming.
I can't remember the locations name but where you had to cross the bridge and where there was an elevator going to the river I was at first going through there seeing some of them and wanting to meet them because they where behind closed doors. After I blew out the lights I was going through the dark nothing thinking of anything and in the exact moment when I realised they're out to get you I got caught and screamed like I had never before. My mom even came in on me to check if everything was alright haha^^

Well don'g worry, they changed that area pretty heavily and made it relatively easier.

That would've been nice to have 😂

I really want enhanced frights

"All he does is blow out your flame" I wouldn't know about that try and see what happens when you don't have a lantern 😵
Pro tip: If you're not holding a lantern, there's no flame to blow out! Got 'em!
No don’t do that. If you don’t have a lantern when they get you, they snap your neck.
@@jacknagel9387 according to the achievement you get from doing that. It’s your spine being rearranged😁
If you drop your artifact he re-Adjusts your spinal column :D
Man they know they got the atmosphere right so they blast us with this creepy shit
4:57 I love the fear in his voice when he sees the skeleton and says *it’s right behind me :(*

holy crap if i played in reduced frights mode then I think I may have died without the unreduced frights version.
Reduced frights only reduces enemy movement speed as far as I'm aware, making certain segments easier
I love this game and this DLC but I cannot get past this DLC at all, which sucks because I want to get the best ending. Oh well.
I have been like you, I pushed it and worth. I would have been dissapointed of myself If I spoiled for myself really, very good dlc indeed
I literally saw no difference
it reduces the scary sounds massively and makes the owlks move wayyyyyyy slower
