I just love this sequence and I love how elegant and graceful Teacher Li is as he practices. I keep coming back to this sequence because it's so gentle and it makes me feel great :)
Just before 1hour i had since 2 days realy strong backpain. Now im practising this fpo the last hour and the pain is almost gone.Normally i wanted to go to the doc fpr a injektion but now no need.THIS IS GREAT!!! THX A LOT !!!
This is a wonderful video. . so easy to follow and the woman has such a relaxing voice and says helpful things. . it's encouraging to know that these exercises can improve your health if done on a regular basis.
very powerful. not just for the meditative qualities but mostly for the physical disorders these movements can address effectively--origionally learned these movements 30 years ago from my amazing naturopath---studied each movement carefully. SO beneficial, then i forgot. Now I am remembering. Bless you Master Li
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've been doing the two parts for a few days only and feel amazing changes! I'll keep on doing this because it also feels so peaceful and naturally flowing..:)
@Criticmizer Chi (or Qi) is energy or life force. Gong means "work" or "work with". So, Qigong means "to work with the life force". (This is the simplest explanation). Some religious people may misinterpret this practice (or one such as Yoga), because they see it as some type of worship, when it is primarily practiced for health, well-being and meditation. You are not working with "spirits" or "entities", but rather the energy or life force of the universe (ie working with God-- not against).
That works. very well. I tried it together with stand still and it is wonderful, surprising. I love it. Also it is of a cute elegance. I think is very spiritual.
One of cutest comments in long time, a what a effective way of saving matches. One day when beam of lights stream from your eyes you know that you reach high level indeed. Imagine how much you savie on electricity :) Abraxas
When practicing, imagine in your mind that you are doing the movements that you physically can't, it will still active the neural pathway from your brain. :)
Wow .. i have always been a spiritual person , before doing homework i deceided to do one of these forms.. and it really works ;O thank you very much ! :D
@gaslimp It is always traveling, but in imperceptible quantities. We don't feel it because we are used to it, just like you would become used to flies landing on you if they did it all day long. It simply wouldn't phase you. So, in order to "feel" it you have to increase the quantity/quality of Qi in your body so it rises in frequency. This is done by practicing Moving/Sitting/Standing meditation forms, purifying the mind and intentions through regulation and contemplation.
@gaslimp remember qi is just blood flow. Qi sounds like a supernatural force with a lot of these guys but it is essentially the art of directing blood flow throughout the body.
Excellent - Great energy flows - but why have you not included breathing pattern with each movement - I have been doing shibashi for this last year and always understood that the pattern of breath for each movement was essential - I have adopted and adapted my breath to your movements as I think they apply to the shibashi movements --- please ignore the comments of silly little man dooshmaster2k - we should just pity the poor thing.
Bill I have a book that was published many years ago by the Sheng Zhen society and in that book, it instructs the breathing pattern. Generally, any upward movement is inhale, downward movement exhale. If I remember correctly, there's only one exception and that's in the Healing qigong.
Agree with you. One movement in the Healing Qigong where the outward movement (arms outstretched) is exhale, inward movement inhale. The book explains it.@@scotthampton6062
@muzimuzi read my last sentence again-- i am inferring that what some call "god" is actually the life force or energy of the universe. when i say "god", i am not talking about a christian, muslim or whatever denominational entity, but rather "all there is". this of course, is a problem when using a loaded word like "god"--everyone has their own subjective idea of what "it" is.
Glad to know that. after exhaling i keep still for a few seconds with empty lungs. that`s when it feels really intense in the stomach and legs. the more relaxed the muscles are, the stronger it feels and accelerates the heartbeats, causing contraptions in the region i`m focusing in, but when that happens i instantly lose focus..
it might be,it might be a "side effect" just remember that the training is not to be constrained by search for Qi,but rather to be freed by it.The journey is more important than the destination maybe
¿Que edad tiene este maestro y sus dolencias?Es importante saber que tambien son humanos con padecimientos, aunque los controlen y tengan mas calidad de vida por el qi gong. Por otro lado "armonía pura". Gracias.
Not so sure.. i discovered it around 12 years old and it did not take any effort or breathing exercise ( in fact it feels stronger when i stop breathing, since deep breath breaks my concentration ). i use it to relax the body and relieve pain, though
Well i can feel a tingling sensation that can be directed to any part of my body at will, but since it doesn't take much focus to feel it, i don't really know if this is the so called QI
@gaslimp if you are serious... I can only speak from personal experience: dissolve the course aspects of ego and stop thinking you are your thoughts. relax. continue to learn how to relax in every environment. purify body, brain, consciousness and nerves, etc. It would probably be helpful to try some of this qigong stuff as well. oh yeah, relax :P trying too hard is not relaxation :]
@cimapro Does it mean if a person has a liver qi stagnation he actully had a liver blood stagnation? or i think i recall Blood stagnation is the advanced stage of Liver Qi stagnation
practise first this /watch?v=n7mvSL-KQoI then when you feel qi between palms I think rest will be easier.. :)) Master Li taught us that on seminar in Belgrade, Serbia, past weekend.. btw he is incredible person and how he say "never forget to smile" :D :D

I don't really remember what caused me to discover that but back then i used to imagine it was actually energy flowing in my body.. problem is, if i breath deeply, i lose focus on that tingling and can barely feel it. it feels more intense when i hold the breath.. that's why i kinda doubt it is actually qi..
@gaslimp a better way of standing qigong is doing zhan zhuang/ritsuzen. It goes easier and more fluent to feel the chi. However this video is a great so called warmup before doing zhan zhuang
do the basic first. qi is something like air flowing around your body as you practice it. i can feel it full power after 2 month practicing it. it not just depend on the movement, but largely on your breathing and flow of your movement. you must "FEEL" the qi as you move the movement, and you can "DIRECT" the qi to flow to the direction of the movement you're practicing. the video shown here is quite high level without any basic knowledge you can't really get it right.
@mehrdad0pazooki Or you can do it like me, while in bed clear my mind and let my body rest without moving, than enter obe state. on the 3rd try to leave my body I opened my chakra gateways. now I feel the heat moving and tingling... and my crown chakra and base are always there for me to use and feel.
@muzimuzi While I agree with everything that was said in the continuation of the thread, I think you would need to have a little chat with a Fish about water. Then take a look at the Zero Point field info. Muzi says alot! LOL But yeah, when you mix "religion" with internal arts, people can definitely take things wrong. Nice discussion! :)
@muzimuzi oh, i totally agree. god is probably the wrong word or concept to use. it also bugs me when ignorant people think qigong or yoga or whatever is something akin to working with evil spirits or the devil or whatever thing they've made up. there's a lot of fear out there.
Sheng Zhen Wuji Yuan Gong has 2 types of postures: standing and sitting ~ each posture can be moving or non-moving. Jeff McDuffie is right -- standing as in being on your feet, sitting is self-explanatory.
@imaginationunreal Yea i suppose - i just hate it when reiligous people try to "shove" their gods into matters that has no real connection to a religous god
This form cultivates virtue and good character. lol I'll remember that. Relaxation might do that, I don'T think it'S a given at any time though. Good forms, bullshit narrator.
I just love this sequence and I love how elegant and graceful Teacher Li is as he practices. I keep coming back to this sequence because it's so gentle and it makes me feel great :)
I have practiced many forms of qigong over the years but this sequence I find is somehow very spiritually uplifting...many thanks

This energized me! I think I'll do it before work, and several times per day in front of my desk!
Beautiful, feels so harmonius and opening!
I felt my energy flowing in my hands after this, there was a slight tingling in my hands and fingers. This presentation is by far the best I've seen.
this series is one of the lovliest I've come across. And excellent Qigong. Thank you.
...I meant to say this is the most graceful qigong demo I've come across. Thx!

Breathing automatically goes with the lungs getting expanded or squished as the ribs and body moves. So you won't have to be told..

Why is it called "standing" qigong if he performs a lot of movements?
Standing as in he's on his feet nothing said about still qigong.
Ah yes you are right. Thanks!

My sifu taught me this sequences, this is called standing because there is also a version where you sit cross legged
