There is no way that this young man who is now world famous isn,t considered one of the greatest pianists of all time! He is perfect, flawless and brilliant BRAVO!!!!!
There are many deniers around, especially those Horowitz fanboys. Malofeev is becoming a ultra virtuoso pianist. Even the hardest chunks of music, he performs with ease and a smile on his face.
He has already surpassed the great Horowitz. His musicianship is one of the proofs of the existence of God.

Difficult to believe that one is listening to so young a man playing this. Apart from the technical skill, he conveys a maturity of understanding of this work. How wonderful to be so gifted!

Because he is our finest living pianist: the finest of this century and, I venture to suggest, of the last century too! Rachmaninov might be an exception and I am fairly sure that he, Rachmaninov would agree. Malofeev's performances of his works are sublime, quite unmatchable.
The intense, consuming passion that drives the work ethic that would buckle the spine of the rest of us.

Absolutely amazing, perfect as near as I could tell, and well done orchestra and conductor. I felt that I heard detail and articulation here with new clarity and definition, very enjoyable. Shed a few tears at the end… glorious.

SEmbra un sogno: solo un anno fa vedere la sala piena. Il virus vuole spegnere tutto. Pensare che non ci fosse stata l'epidemia Malofeev sarebbe venuto in Italia. Anzi sarebbe passato a Biella verso inizio marzo. Che bello e sempre sorprendente Prokofiev.
A Cagliari avrebbe eseguito Le Stagioni, la fantasia di Schumann e altro che non ricordo. Peccato! E' venuto quest'anno in primavera col n.2 di Rachmaninov. Bravissimo

Это так и есть, Анна. Играть с филадельфийским оркестром не каждому дано и позволено, не зря долгие овации восхищения. Александр Малофеев - яркая восходящая звезда на мировом музыкальном небосклоне. 18-и летний Саша - талант от Бога, как говорится в народе, настоящий дар божий! Он - гордость России. Как и молодой 18-и летний Иван Бессонов (Ваня с Сашей ровесник), оба выдающиеся талантливейшие музыканты, достойная смена общепризнанным российским маститым мастерам среднего возраста.

In English, for our americain friends :this fantastic young pianiste (20 years) had his concerts cancelled in Canada this month (march 2022) because ...he is russian ! This boycott dishonor the West.
I agree with you! Sasha is 20 years old and has absolutely NOTHING to do with Russian atrocities. I'm glad the first concert of this tour in Buffalo, NY (USA) was not cancelled. I was born and grew up in Buffalo, and the people loved him, as did the Buffalo Philharmonic musicians. The orchestra played the Ukraine National Anthem to begin the concert, and it was billed as a Peace Concert... which is all that Alexander Malofeev wants for this world I am sure!! He is the most outstanding new pianist of our time, and the people who cannot hear him in person are being cheated for no reason at all.
Thank you for speaking out about the ridiculous and hypocritical cancellation of A. Malofeev in Canada.

The one whose coughing in the audience please remove your self immediately....have some respect for others.. Especially Alexander Malofeev.
A Great Player! But the tempo was too fast. Some of the phrasing was lost due to the velocity. Faster is not always better
a common problem with classical players in general...... one of my old professors told me once that we must never forget the time period in which these pieces were written: the instruments/acoustics etc weren't what they are today so it's true we should mimic what it was like back then
