- Factorio. A game about space. The space between resources, like outerspace ya know. In between the planets where the resources are. But also the space between us, me and the crew of the USS Zisteauprise. We're just humans, see? We inhabit bodies. But also the space between the living and the dead, because Science Officer Svensen is dead, and I'm not. Rest in Peace Science Officer Svensen.

Man. I admire your dedication to this mod. For some reason, my brain starts pushing back hard when I have to set up beryllium, holmium and iridium. Can't focus and enjoy it like I want to. Wish I could be more like this! Haha...

16:10 You could theoretically wire up the output inserters to read the Spaceship console Output and only operate when the Location Signal = Nauvis Orbit, in your Case, Orbit 216.
It's incredibly unnecessary for this purpose. That condition can be helpful if you want to put all the wiring inside the ships themselves, since it'll cause issues otherwise. In hindsight doing that outside of the ship makes things a lot easier, I wish I had thought of that during my run. My Naquitite haulers were quite the mess of cables since I routed them through the anomaly, leading to them needing 5 different launch conditions (Asteroid Field -> Anomaly -> Nauvis -> Nauvis Orbit -> Anomaly -> Asteroid Field). It worked tough.
don't you not need to actually dock at Foenestra, just arrive and head onwards? though that, too, would be a mess to deal with. also, why both Nauvis and Norbit launches?
@@fuuryuuSKK I processed the Naquitite on the Surface, but refueled and reloaded the ship in Orbit. Especially with Naquitite you really want productivity modules, which are entirely unavaiable in space.
Can save a tiny amount of space by getting rid of the walls next to the engines, the jets act as walls themselves

The newer versions of SE had some overhaul of the ship's take off's interaction with the wiring, so that it doesn't "reset" when launching, making some on-ship wiring much, much easier. Before that update, I ended up making some "belt memory" system... I wonder if zisteau will meet with that challenge in the future, and wonder how he'll solve it ;)
You don't need a basic rocket engine to land/launch from a planet. You only need the (filled) fuel booster tanks.

upgrading modules in machines can be simply done by using Upgrade Planners, easily created using Alt+U
Also, red and green wires are free when using the navigation satellite

15:42 You need to set Logistic Robots as cargo for the Spaceship because of Robotattrition. If not you could end up losing all Logisticrobots and your sience Stops.
ehh, a skeleton crew of 50 logibots won't lose members, since attrition only hits systems with at least 50 bots. what does have an impact is bots potentially getting abducted when flying across
For this purpose I use cargo rockets instead of spaceships. Its more efficient of fuel
