But also the space between us, me and the crew of the USS Zisteauprise. We're just humans, see? We inhabit bodies. But also the space between the living and the dead, because Science Officer Svensen is dead, and I'm not. Rest in Peace Science Officer Svensen.

Love the place you've raised in space! Couple of tips after painfully learning myself.
1st, if you just want to get rid of scrap, consider recycling it first, 1/3 as much landfill from the same amount of scrap if you can find a use for heavy oil (cough thermofluid cough). But big savings on nukes! Cause I know you care so much about nuclear disarmament...
2nd, someone else also said it: washing data substrate with chemical gel is a trap, it consumes a ton of oil. The cosmic water recipe returns 99% of the cosmic water back after decontamination, plus a bonus biosludge.

13:22 to me the hardest part is to figure the numbers and ratio, since I have no idea how much science we should go for. You really teach us how to break down complex builds in simples componnents, thank you !

Using chemical gel (orange soda) to polish the Data Substrates is incredibly wasteful, if you use cosmic water (blue soda) you get contaminated water back which you can clean in order to get most of the cosmic water back and also get a bit of supplementary biosludge (green soda).
Also, at least the material science experiment for Impact Shielding Data returns hilariously high amounts of scrap, which would return significant amounts of ores
You will also get access to a more efficient 25° to -10° recipe, for which you will need iinm twice as many machines.
Other players: Plasma stream, cosmic water, insight.
This guy: Cotton candy, soda, juicebox.
15:01 I love how out of all this crazy complexity and efficiency and interweaving production, recycling scrap is the one thing that makes Z go "nope, not dealing with that" and take the blunt force solution.

This is my favorite Space Exploration series. I think that what happened to your star date record was that your RTC(realtime clock) module has a dead battery or experienced power loss momentarily. Resetting it to Jan 1, 1970. When the computer tries to make this calculation it ponders how it could have gone back in time. And promptly has an unhandled existential-crisis error.
Luckily there are cyclical checks for redundancy, And when detected the computer is reset. Totally forgetting about your request, and any alterations it may have made to it's purpose within it's code. You gotta hand it to IT, They really prevent the machine uprising don't they...
Ooooh, hope I have enough space in me for this drinking game...
I recently started a SE playthrough, and I thought things were going rather well despite how much I suck. But holy crap this episode is a real view into the abyss that awaits. Thanks I guess?
At least the rest of the video was cool. The new base place in space is looking great. The floating underground pipe sections are fantastic :)
If you want a better idea about all this, watch one of his streams. The amount of time he spends making sure the results look this good is just unreal.... and we kind of love him for it.

There is s cleaner way to do those heavy oil refineries. It takes more vertical space, but I think it could have fit.
Add a row between each factory. The inputs are in the middle, so you'd rotate the right side. Inputs will now line up directly with a 2 row shift on one side. For the inputs, you can now connect directly with two straight pipes. You can now up and down one resource on the left and the other on the right.
Not saying to bother on that completed build. It's fine but you might consider it on something similar later.
In the vanilla game, unless you went to Megabase levels, no one needed to think about large scale dual fluid input designs.
Am just now realizing, those space platform tiles, those are pretty much just TNG borg cube textures, cannot unsee that and really like it 👌👌
Only Zisteau can say "SPACE" more times then the space core, and yet have it still make sense.

I am in awe of the complexity of this mod pack. So much so that I abandoned it on two separate play throughs once I got in to SPACE.

He really is quite a bit down from his spike, but keeping the schedual he had to keep, to release often enough to make the algo happy... well, you just can't do that and survive.

Brother, you're gonna need waaaay more supercooled thermofluid than that. Plan for several times that size (antimatter). Also, a bunch of recipes dump back into cool thermofluid, so leave some space in those tanks!

I love the pace that your are getting through this pack. You should see my face as you race through your space base place. I can't work out how to get lace into this comment, but if you are happy using place, you may also be happy not to waste the possibility of working at haste, turning the blue slush into blue paste. I wonder how it will taste.
How many times can Zisteau say, "Space," in one episode?
I started counting, but gave up at 30 times in the first 8 minutes of the video...

The idea behind recycling is that it's pretty expensive to ship raw materials into space, so reclaiming raw materials in space can save you on expensive components like rocket parts, rocket fuel, space elevator components, etc

You should try the Blueprint Sandboxes mod - it gives you an area for you work out your designs without having to build a space platform in your space base place and without having to build all the relevant space components up front.

I am a litte confused ... at 19:42 you can see his thermofluid production ... ofc with the condition he set the pump only pumps into the tanks till they reach a combined 120k ... but if i am not mistaken isn't there a connection between the spacefactorys and the tanks without the pump or is there a space? So i think the system will overflow because of the connection

Never really thought about it before, but now (In Space) that nearly every statement is a tongue-twister, I wonder if you write a script to keep track of what you're saying in these videos?
Remember when Ziestu was a big deal, but now does twice-monthly videos for 20k views?
With the fluid circuit balancing conditions, you can just hook the pumps up to 1 tank. This way, you don't have to constantly adjust your magic number every time you add more tanks. Tanks are going to be generally pretty self leveling so one tank is a good enough sample point to represent the entire bunch.
