Montezuma cover looks like abatement. Maybe for lead paint? Lead paint was outlawed in the USA in 1978, the year Monty opened. So if he was painted the year before lead paint would be used. Bing a Schwarzkopf it may have been made and painted in Germany, who’s lead paint regulations I can’t find a source for at this time. The big piece of equipment looks like some sort of air scrubber. That type of containment could also be for asbestos, chemical stripping agents, lead paint, among others.
This! I was thinking about it when editing the video. Sometimes in the moment I don't think or say the things that are a clearly obvious to me later. Now, they pressure washed and repainted the coaster a couple times before. But they're probably stripping it down more this time. I just don't understand why they didn't remove the track completely and have it refurbished somewhere else.
@@AmericasCoasterNetwork I’d bet the previous company found the lead paint and didn’t have the proper credentials to do abatement. Or Knotts paused the remodel because the cost of an abatement of that size and scale would be very high to say the least. The budget probably didn’t allow for that kind of overrun so it was held off till the budget was available.
Pretty disappointed we're not getting everything. The stage seemed like one of the best additions to the area, and not having it is a huge loss. If they can't get that bridge area open in the next three days, that will be even more disappointing. And frankly, unless there was some kind of major construction issue with these additions there's not really a good reason we shouldn't be getting everything. For a park that gets as much attendance and makes as much money as Knott's, they should be able to follow through on an ENTIRE kids area revamp.
I think they are having money issues. Maybe related to the pending merger? They have cut entertainment, cut food portions, cut camp snoopy plans, and Magic Mountain followed suit with freezing work on the demolition of their own theater. Just sitting there half undone with a wall around it like Camp Snoopy’s. Too coincidental.
I'm thinking they went way over budget with the coaster and other things. And that the stage will eventually happen. Perhaps next year. Hopefully it its full form we saw in the concept art. Same with the covered bridge.
The pontoon bridge with the waterfall should have been an easy fix just to refurbish it without the concept art. So obviously they're really hurting for money if they can't do that...and remember, they spent a lot of money too on the electric train for Camp Snoopy, I'm sure.
Agreed. I'm certain the entire situation came down to money. Thanks they went over budget with the coaster and other things that did get the green light.
I wonder what they'll cut from the Montezuma project - maybe it'll only have one spike, could be you'll have to push-start it for it to get going, perhaps you just climb up a spike and shimmy down.
The Tender Paw coaster has been testing for a little while now. So they have tested it already. Probably some more testing and training to do though. I cannot wait until the work walls come down so we can see it better. I am also curious what it will look like at night.
Ah, yes. I've seen video of it testing. I meant to say "testing today." And, yeah, in the vlog you can see employees walking through the queue. So I'm sure they were cycling it today. I just didn't have time to wait.
Yeah, I was shocked! I'll be even more surprised if it's ready in 3 days. Still gotta hook up all the electrical and who knows of the operator booth is even complete. Plus training the operators. We'll see.
Not much happening for The MonteZOOMa Station but the good news is THERE ARE COVERING IN TARP I Can't Wait To Get Back In Action I Hope They Do The MonteZOOMa Station Painted BLACK IT’S GONNA BE PERFECT IN 2025!
I don't see any horns on the new vehicles. But I've mentioned it a few times before in other vlogs about how much I hate them. I guess we'll know for sure in a few days. Maybe I should bring my own! 🤣
@@AmericasCoasterNetwork- I used ro be a Annual Passholder at Knott's for 10 years, until I moved to Arizona in 1997. I knew most of Knott's cast members at the time, & funny enough they loving called The Rocky Mountain Trucking Company "The Honking Hell". Hello From Phoenix Arizona 🌡 🔥
I didn't realize Sally's swing along was going to be that tall. When you peeled in to have a look at the new off road rally cars I didn't see any horns so it looks like the days of hearing those little trucks horns honking loudly through the day are over.
You are being too kind on your assessment of Camp Snoopy and I understand that..... it looks like it's a huge money situation and they don't want to lose any more money, so they're advertising it's going to open, but we'll see how long it takes when it finally all comes together....tough economy....you have honest analysis compared to others thx
Thanks. I try to be as honest as possible without being ungrateful. I'm sure that many of the things we are disappointed in were out of the parks control. I know they want better. And I'm sure they'll eventually get everything they originally announced.
Gonna be there on Saturday June 29th. Everything looks like it's coming together. Awesome. Can't wait.
RIP Camp Snoopy Theater 😞
I’m sad about that too.
Oh yeah I miss the camp snoopy theater.
Looks like everything is coming together nicely
I like that.

@@AmericasCoasterNetworkagree on being over budget....remember they remodeled hotel too
Is montezooma gonna be enclosed ???
I don't believe so. Other than perhaps the station. I think this is just for work to be done.

So freaking excited to ride the new Montezooma’s Revenge!!!!!!!!

The launch will be Flintstones' style to save money on the power bill, so the trains will be floorless.

Great update Chris. It's better to make the new rides look good and delay some of them rather than have all of them debut with a lack in quality.
Thanks! Agreed!
Jaguar goes above montezuma so in theory if you ride jaguar you can have a look at montezuma
Absolutely. I would have if Jaguar was open.
This looks amazing. I am very sad that I'm missing out on Camp Snoopy because I have a field trip on the same day as the opening of Camp Snoopy.
Don't worry. They will still be finishing up other areas throughout the summer. It won't be 100% done for a bit.
So they'll use astroturf nice
MonteZOOMa The Forbidden Fortress It’s Gonna Add Randomized Launch Between Forwards And Backwards I CANNOT WAIT TO RIDE IT!
Sally's swing along just got reversed thanos snapped, like wow that was quick

@@AmericasCoasterNetwork and testing
They giving montezooma a aztec look instead of just carnival race car look. I miss that look .
I'm gonna miss everything about the original. This won't be the same at all.
I wonder with the canceled theater if later on they’re going expand the maze that’s there
My guess the theater was cancelled because the coaster and other things went over budget.
