I have a 200k remapped 1.9tdi vrs no cat and egr removed and regarding smoke/emissions it passed. Obviously visually the missing cat and egr could potentially fail but from emissions a test point of view it did pass.
You need to go front mount intercooler cuz the side mounts are shit the pipes are weak will come off eventually and then at least your set up for a big turbo would recommend the 2260 turbo if your chasing power and if your looking to take on some gtis and so on that’s the way to go
The longer term view is turbo/FMIC but I’ve told him before that he needs to be able to stop and corner better so wheels, quality tyres and bigger/better brakes are next up for him (when he can afford too! 🤣)
@@FastandFun good idea to be honest mine really don’t brake well hahah once mapped they pick up speed so aggressively a lot of go needs better brakes for sure love the content can’t wait for more
First mod imo would be a Whiteline rear Arb Completely transforms the Fabias shockingly numb steering and understeering issue. Couple this with some eibach or h and r lowering springs and you’ve got an agile fab. (Coil overs aren’t always the answer) Also please mention as-well as pd150 head bolts a good idea would be upgrading to some 312mm brakes with Octavia VRS callipers. More bite on the front will do wonders for a stage 1 fab, too many people remap + EGR del, fmic, de cat then run out of talent on B roads 😂
Great advice and strongly agree with you about upgrading the very av. brakes. To drive quickly the first thing you need to do is be able to slow quickly and confidently.
i just bought one, im glad you make videos about the car, I hope you will film everything and every bold you screw :D
Lmao same

Nice Fabia purchase, the only way to learn is get stuck in. :-)
