@SMPostcards please do more videos on your setup, organization, systems, etc. It is very helpful for those of us who tend to be disorganized....which I suspect is most of us.
Mark, reselling is my second job. My husband left my son and I this year. I started reselling to survive. I'm praying that PC selling will bring steady income. I just started posting pc this weekend in a new ebay store because of the listing limit. Anyway, I have a question. Btw, I purchased a lot from you. I can't wait to see it. My question. It's very time consuming to fill in the item specifics. Do you fill all that in, or do just scan and title? I mostly posted all weekend 30. I researched and filled all specifics. I love it. But I hardly ate and stayed up all friday and Saturday day and night posting. Too busy during the week. I'll do whatever it takes but am curious. Thanks for the videos.
Sorry to hear about your family, it will get better! I use eBay Templates I have one for Postcards, with a lot of the things filled out all ready and just need to change a few things depending on the card. You will get faster as you go along. The lots I have up are just random pulls from boxes I have of Postcards. I figure 100 cards, if you sell 10-12 for 5.00 each you got your money back for lot and shipping basicly. Thanks for watching and any questions let me know.
I was waiting for someone to ask this question! My plan is to not move to an Anchor store. The Plan is to start moving out my oldest listed cards every month as needed. That way I can start rotating thru my inventory and make room for the newly listed cards. In my thinking that will be better than keep adding to the pile of cards I have listed and with my experience reselling postcards now, I should have better cards to list than I did years ago and they move better. I still have a while to go before I hit 60k. Thanks Biff!
Mark you are my hero - one of my 2024 goals is to be as organized as you - I’m on my way - clearing out what’s not working or selling and concentrating on Postcards & Print Ads(shout out to Marty) 😀
Impressive organization. You’re going to have record cash flow next year I bet. Are you going to only source for higher value cards, cards that have high sell thru rates, states or topics you enjoy listing the most? Or be opportunistic and pick up great deals? I’m going to focus on $10 and up cards and Victorian trade cards and cheaper stuff that I know sells fast for me. I used your STR sheet and cut prices on some of my slower selling cities and states by 30% for any card under $10 in those categories. Have been doing $80-$100 a week now on what was previously hardly anything.
Thanks Puddings! Yea it is all a work in progress. Buying in 2024 will be very let's say picky like you said above. Probably stick to smaller collection purchases and cherry picking some shows etc. Like always something always drops in my lap that I cannot refuse. Yes STR has help me make decisions on buying and selling just another tool to use to make those more educated decisions. There are so many variables in selling Price, Shipping, Handling time, How many listed, Sales, Coupons and Discounts etc. I just try to stick with a few and make them work for me and STR is one of them. Thanks for watching and hopefully my plan does not become a mess :) Watch future videos for updates !! Thanks again Mark
Thank you for a good video. 1. What is the approximate asking price for Niagara Falls QSL post card lots? 2. What is the approximate asking price for Salvatore Bruno post card lots? Have a great week.
Really good advice, thanks. A scanner will be the first equipment on my buy list once I start to make enough money to get one. 900 postcards an hour? I've spent 5 days scanning on my new printer's scanner in the last couple of weeks and still only made it to 460 cards scanned. It's a hard slog starting out, but I will get there. I've purchased a few boxes of cards to start me off, and have no shortage of cards to sell from my collection, so I've plenty to take me through into next year. I would love to find some more USA cards though - harder to find here in the UK - to attract some USA buyers. I feel like I understand what US buyers are looking for from your videos, but I have no clue what UK buyers are looking for! :)
Thanks! The cards I have sold to UK buyers if I remember correctly are more Navy, Ships and things like that. Yes, a scanner is a good thing to have saves so much time. Watch eBay I have seen some used Epson 400 Scanners go for around 50-60 US dollars.
I’m no expert on UK buyers but I’ve had some good sales of Scottish postcards. Good thing I like Scotland 😄 Some other areas I’ve sold a few here and there - like ones from villages that then ship directly to that area. I have been surprised but no one seems to want the London ones!
You are so organized Mark! You should throw in an organization video.
Great idea!
Really interesting setup! Thanks for answering my questions witout ne having to ask!
You bet!

In 2024 I hoping to be able to more
Love your organization Mark! I don't have space to organize the way I would like to but I still want to continue to refine my setup.
You can do it!
Great video Mark. Very inspiring as far as improving my organization. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Good attitude & fabulous organization, per usual, Mark!
Thank you Niel!
. Your plan sounds very well thought-out. I am always stressed out about finding more postcards.

What is your plan when you reach 60K listings? Upgrading to anchor store, or slowing down listing?

Are you using a label printer, versus taping on the eBay standard envelope, addressing
Yes I use a Rollo Thermal Printer and 6x4 inch labels
