"needing to work your way up from the bottom" is a good life lesson to teach a kid when they are young and inexperienced. For an adult child that already has a lucrative job someplace else, asking them to leave and start over as if they don't have any life experience is just an excuse to try and not pay them because "family should help each other out"

A job honestly doesn’t gives you the time, space and opportunity to chase your dreams and achieve your goals. From personal experience i can tell you working a serious job is modern day slavery. they pay you a small amount for doing a significant amount of work and promises you promotion. Best advice make investments and take calculated risks that would guarantee your success.

This is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market.

The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment

Mom messed up receivables (accepted deliveries without checking if all items were delivered, taking down wrong information on phone calls, etc). Dad finally sent mom back home, and hired an elderly woman who kicked butt and was his perfect secretary. Mom got good at finishing 5,000 piece puzzles until she became very sick and disabled.

I think it should be the goal that if kids get hired by their parents, that they become competent enough to be able to putgrow the business, consider they do want to step up!
I've build my mothers clinic with her as in, she took the financial risks and put in the first administrative steps to get our clinic and infrastructure and I took us from there to where we are now if it comes to managing the clinic, so she can "just" focus on being a doctor without another boss to have to answer to. I love my jobs and plan to take over once she retires and paying her out, but if I wanted to, I could actually step up by becoming a clinic manager of a bigger clinic / hospital for sure by now (not one with about 7 employees. And she'd be more than happy and proud for me if that was what I truly wanted!

Leave quickly. Be your own man and establish yourself independent of your parents. Parents are having him do a lot of the overflow stuff that a lead would do without paying him for the work or even close to pay that it competitive with his previous job. Also, if they wanted to start him on the family business, they would hav done so years ago. They would be actively showing him the books and numbers instead of keeping him out of that loop. Luring him away from a good paying job/career to pay him half as much is pretty telling.

There is 'starting at the bottom' and it seems, starting below the bottom (at least as far as salary). The "someday this will be all yours" is a line to excuse the under paying. For the hours he is working, he is being ripped off. I suspect that the father believes owners should take minimal out of the business unless profitable, but with the missing step that the son is not yet an owner.
So how profitable is the business? If it is barely scraping by, then there is unlikely to be anything to take over.

Starting out a new business, sometimes family pitches in and helps doing everything just to get the business off the ground. No one may get paid at that point. And in that case, everyone needs to pitch in - mom included! But if you are able to pay other employees a decent wage, then you are no longer just a struggling start-up and family should get paid what they are worth. The business may still be struggling, and folks may need to take a pay cut, but then it should be across the board. Both my husband and I had that happen in totally different jobs and businesses in order for the company to make it through a rough patch.

It's true that many people underestimate the importance of advisers until their own feelings burn them out. A few summers ago, following an ongoing divorce, I needed a significant push to keep my company afloat. I looked for licensed advisors and found someone with outstanding qualifications. She has contributed to my reserve increasing from $275k to $850k regardless of inflation.

Incredible. I believe in investing and working because I love luxury . when a buddy of mine recommended me to a financial advisor. We spoke about investments and money. I began investing with $120,000, and after two months, the value of my portfolio was $314,800. You think this is crazy, but I choose to reinvest my profit and become more intriguing. We have been working together for more than 10 years, consistently turning a profit. a year ago, opened my first restaurant and bought myself a brand new car last week.

And forget about an inheritance, when those skinflints are ready to retire they'll strip all the cash out of the business and write up a succession contract that has him paying 5X the actual market value of the business over the next 20 years so they have a retirement income.
Leave their mess alone and go do real work for a real company and a real income. Yes you'll lose your inheritance which you'll never get anyway they aren't out for your best interests if they were they wouldn't have you on a starvation salary with a wife and kid.
