A discard trap that i think people are really sleeping on is Divine Wrath. Its a great card going second, against a Caius. Is the only of the traps that you dont lose your cards to, like, raigeki break a JD you still lose your cards, with DW, you just lose your discard. It's the only of the discard traps that can deal with a tytannial, and that is really a big thing because tyt is really good against frogs. Only DW can stop starters, like stratos, gearframe, grepher. It's kinda solemn warning at home
it's better in tengu format hitting hand-traps and where chaos sorc is at 3 and BLS ect..... Edison tends to be more backrow heavy so you want the versitility
I have been maining dw in my machina gears build for a while. Great card, fortress makes great discard fodder, gadjiltron dragon is also a discard option sometimes. Two seems like the perfect ratio. Only times it sucks is when you want it to be a battle trap, but varience is a thing.
@@aaron24t for sure, the fact that DW can't interact with S/T is kinda huge, like karma cut. Imo, is a card that maybe be worth to side against some matches, like amarillys, the frog mirror, lightsworn (here is big, because is the only discard trap that can deal with an aurkus)
My opinion- 1.Break, 2. Wind Blast, 3. Karma Cut. Break works best vs everything but stardust is a thing. Wind blast is great vs extra deck cards and stacking cards can mess up tempo and help with other hand cards (trapdust, mind crush, etc.) Karma cut is amazing vs graveyard decks like vayu, frogs, zombies and some hero decks. All 3 are amzing tho
I feel like, aside from considerations of Stardust and fueling Vayu, Raigeki Break is better defensively, and PWWB is better offensively (especially when you are winning): If you are on the defensive you have to use your removal against the biggest problem, which is one that you don't want them to draw again. If you are on the offensive, you don't mind putting a card onto their hand, because you can push for big damage before this card is reestablished again. Also, what is on their field is likely worse than what they're gonna topdeck in that moment.
Experimenting with Damage Condenser in Quickdraw. It's kinda cool if you up the amount of discard stuff, Plague, Necro, Night Assailant, etc. One more way of getting Dandy out.
I think PWWB is superior because setting your opponent back a turn is more detrimental early/mid game. There are a lot of blow-outs in Edison and getting to them first is what seals you the game. Sure Geki' Break can be better if your opponent has a JD on field but that is often late game. You don't want cards that are slightly better late game. Especially because as the game goes on your ability to discard goes down, so it's like if you are in that situation where a D.A.D is on field you have little chance at closing that game in your favour anyway. Spinning Treeborn, LW monsters (denying JD in the first place), hitting BW monsters so they don't have a target for Blizzard ect.....Again, Geki obv better vs whirlwind ect but you don't want to play for odd power cards that are either limited or take turns to set-up
Great vid on explaining the pros/cons of the discard traps Can you explain how PWWB or Karma outs LADD? I thought LADD would just negate it before the effect resolves
This is not about edison but I remember that I target my own Dante with raigeki break when opponent actived Shaddoll fusion and it couldn't resolve and also I won the match Lmao

underrated but cant be used against backrow. more of a defensive vs flex def/offense

1) phoenix wing wind blast
2) phoenix wing wind blast
3) phoenix wing wind blast
Honorable mention: karma cut
Absolutely not! This is a frog nation and we do not condone the ways of the plant.
@@imnerdpodcast 🤣🤣🤣
Im not gona lie, ive thought about divine wrath in the side deck, especially vs plants/mirror and decks that love caius.

They're not *all* amazing a lot of them aren't even used as much currently
@@scythermantis a lot of decks main 1-2 of these and/or side some. They don't have to be in every deck to be good.
I agree with this. Only funny part is why would Wind Blasting something to Mind Crush later better than just Breaking it? :p

Now all we need is shiny R Breaks that don't cost an arm and a leg
Break your own zero is insane! 🤯🔥
Divine wrath is kicking and screaming watching this video.
Card sucks lol

LaDD negate only activates once per chain, so if you CL1 activate sth else, CL2 discard trap can resolve and deal with the LaDD.
what he said

I think phoenix wing is better thought
How can raigeki break be the best if it is the only one that doesn’t have an Ulti printing? 🤨🤨
Pot of greed was a rare when it came out, guess that card sucks too by your logic.
@@kuyagoldlink7563 yes
Would be cool if there was a deck that can facilitate eliminating the league. Look at hand is absurd for a discard trap.
Ok but what about magic jammer
lol what about it
