Ah pasteles it sounds close to Indonesian snack.. We have snack called pastel, the dough made from flour and in the inside fill with mix veggies, chicken and boiled egg. And you can dip in sauce or take a bite of chili when you eat it. I love traditional snacks , thanks for sharing 😉
It's a shame you feel insulted at me trying to describe a food to those who might have never heard of it. Got a better thing to compare it to for those who didn't grow up in a puerto rican house hold or in a puerto rican environment?
@@AboutThisMuch Dude, i don't know if you noticed, but i was joking. I happen to love Mexican food. It's just that to make tamales they use corn for the masa and we don't, just saying. So it taste way different of course.

Yeah that sounds really similar. Ive seen things like that in a lot of latin and south east asian cultures. Well I hope you get to try it one day
Nicely done! We have some on the stove right now 🍴
Thanks! Did you use a similar recipe?
I make some delicious vegan pasteles 😋♥️
Pastels are so tasty! Great to see the errors for learning how it should be and nice to see that 1985 Vitamix!

Bro as a Puerto Rican, that is an insult lol. Pasteles taste way different than Tamales.
