Yo soy Mexicano y Puerto Riqueño y creo que en mi familia tenemos la mejor gastronomia ya que en Navidad o año Nuevo se come mole poblano tamales Chile relleno se como pernil arroz con gandules pasteles. Puerto riqueños y much a comida mad tipica de ambos paizes
This reminds me so much of the years I lived in Puerto Rico when my company sent me to work there. The food, the weather, the people are wonderful. I had the best New York style cheesecake I ever had in my life in PR. Once the big bosses visiting from the States tasted it, they begged my to get them more.
Funny you mention, but everytime I go to PR, I MUST get a cheesecake. They do the best cheesecakes. Puffy, airy, soft. Never in the USA i have tasted them like that.
We are Arawak Taino first before Puerto Rican, and our island is originally called Boriken which means "Land of the Valiant Lord." We have always been a very welcoming and loving people to all, even to Columbus. We have been through a lot of pain, suffering, colonized, enslaved, and yet the Puerto Rican people still love, still dance, and still remain Valiant and Noble. Everyone is our family. If your good to a Puerto Rican, You've got a a true friend for life. God bless, and thanks so much for this video!!! Seneco Kakona tiao, Dios te bendiga, many blessings!
The adobo we have is not the same as your chicken or pork adobo Adobo is just a season. Like dried onions, dried garlic, annatto, your adobo is different. We do have very similar foods like for example caldereta. We have the same. But we dont make it spicy.
I love Puerto Rican food, I'm black I cook it myself I make my own sofrito but I can't wait to come to Puerto Rico and go outside of Old San Juan I just need to know the name of it I heard it's about an hour or so from Old San Juan❤❤❤❤
The town is called Cayey, about an hour away from San Juan. The area is called Guavate, and the street is La Ruta del Lechón. You can put it in Google maps and it’ll take you right to. You can’t miss it! I’m a Boricua that lives in Texas, but I go back to PR at least 2-3 a year. The island never leaves you!!! 😊
I love Luis' energy! He's hilarious and such a great guide. And the food looks incredible. The lechon, the plaintains, arroz con gandules, and all the baked goods look unreal. I've never been big on the iron-rich flavor of blood or organs like liver, but I'd be willing to give the morcilla a try, too!
I will be in PR in a week..saw your video which was awesome..I was a little scare to travel to the mountain but watching your video I think I will venture out..
I would love to live in Puerto Rico, the people are so beautiful!! The food looks amazing!!! My roommate in the Army was the Commander's driver (puerto rican)many years ago he was so awesome, I wish I could find him .
Come to Puerto Rico over here it's people from all over USA working here in Hotels airports hospitals Walmarts malls , USPOST OFFICE Fedex UPS etc.... Make a life here
The funniest part is knowing that Luis is vegetarian and still hyped over the lechón 😂 A+ for selling our food!! And yes, pan sobao and quesitos are the real local favorites 🤤
Awesome video !!! Hope to see more from you! Love this guys great video 🇵🇷 ❤️ Luis is awesome… I’ve seen him appear in other RUclips videos too… such passion for the island I love. God bless… amazing food, weather, people, history, oceans and rainforest!!
I'm from Puerto Rico and I have never liked morcilla (blood sausage) 😆 Quenepas are so good! But so scary to eat. Piña colada is my fav drink in the world! I feel like Puerto Rican food is underrated, not being biased, but Mexican & Puerto Rican food is my absolute fav in the world. Then Italian as #3 fav. 😋 Also, Luis is an amazing person, guide & RUclipsr 🇵🇷
People only seem to visit Old San Juan when going to PR. But only if they knew that the country of PR is a very diverse Latin adventure. LaGuancha is another popular place in Ponce which visitor’s need to visit. It’s like a Spanish version of the South Street SeaPort in NYC. You have to really see PR so you can see why it should be preserved. It’s a real live hidden gem and the PR people love everyone. They have authentic fun
I loved PR when I visited, and he is right. If you want to get to know the real PR, you have to visit outside of San Juan. My special place was Ponce. Fell in love with Ponce. Saludos a todos los herman@s Boricuas. Este Mexicano siente una conexión super especial con su bella isla. 🇲🇽🫶🏽🇵🇷
I am from Arizona where we have some great southwestern & Latin infused foods but boy Puerto Rican food is an easy transition from what I am used to. Just great food man.
The pork dish at the first place was amazing size.place number 2.the drinks were made well and with a lot of flavor..number 3. They look delicious are they donuts.
Gareth, I do prefer Mojito as well. Piña Colada is good earlier in the afternoon cause the pineapple contains so much fiber and the coconut have so much fat, it makes you bloated. Mojito is a lighter drink and better option.🍸🍹🥥🍋🟩🍍❤️🇵🇷
Hi,Gareth and Luis, you guys make me so hungry,,I have being to aRancho Original in Guavate,Cayey, that place and food is so awesome, so enjoy my beautiful island of PR, Thanks for your vicit, try to dance Salsa, music,
Like a year ago i remember going to that place but they didn't have the Pig on display they only had some roasted chicken but the food was good though😊
