    Can you explain in greater detail about the hoses in the front needs to be plugged? Something on x4 issue? Great video

    A wise man once told me that putting a strong magnet on the drain plug will help with collecting metal fragments especially when it is new .

    Thank you for the great videos. Subscribed just now. I am learning about the RMAX before I take delivery in May. Besides oil, tranny and diff fluids, is there anything else needed for the initial break-in service?

      Thanks for the Sub and congrats on the new Rmax! Hopefully there won’t be any delays with it.
      I would take a peak at your air filter and check all the clamps on the intake system to make sure they haven’t come loose but the three oils are the main thing.

    I have 10 hrs to go to get mine brike in a 2 seater, but getting stuff ready for first service, where do you get your oil filters if yamaha is out of stock ?

      Rocky Mountain Atv Mc is my usually go to. If they don’t have filters in stock then I usually see what’s on Amazon.

    Thanks for the video. Would 75W - 140 work or would that be a problem?

    • @AppalachianMountainRiders
      @AppalachianMountainRiders  3 года назад

      The thing with the 140 is it will be thicker and won’t run as well through all the gears which may cause hot spots. That being said that is really the only difference between the two and the only problem I would see with it. Would it be fine to run, most likely, and it will coat the gears with a thicker film than the 90 but what I said earlier is something to be aware of.

    How often will you change your transmission fluid?

    • @AppalachianMountainRiders
      @AppalachianMountainRiders  3 года назад +1

      I’ll check it at 1000 miles and see what it looks like. Book says next change is 1600 miles.
