I lived in Byron, a low-end part of Greenwich, 15+ years ago. Rent for a room with bathroom privileges was $650 at the time. Much more now I am sure. Just assume Fairfield County is part of New York and priced that way.

Most people in CT would rate Greenwich and Old Greenwich at the top of the list. Westport would rank very highly as well. Prices cited here seem extremely low and long-outdated compared to more recent prices cited elsewhere.

Born and bred in Fairfield CT. Grew up with the obnoxious and pretentious. Don't get me wrong I knew how to play the game but I decided I wanted my children to know reality. They needed to know that showing up to the school parking lot in a hand me down BMW or Mercedes was not necessary or having to wear designer clothes for school. We moved and they learned what the real world was all about.

Low cost of living?! We are talking about CT, right? The Connecticut River is on the eastern boundary of Glastonbury, not “ makes up the western boundary.” And dividing one town, Greenwich, into 3 entries on the Top 10, makes sense, if your family’s annual income averages 115K and you can afford a home at a minimum of 1 Million. However, this video offers sensible options, generally in the Hartford metro area: Glastonbury, Simsbury and, for a little more expense, West Hartford. One Fairfield County option, Ridgefield, is also a good option. I know less about Avon, but I would guess it would be a fine option too, and nothing about Weapogue, except it’s likely in Litchfield County. All in all, a fine video for those needing to live in the NYC area or in CT. I am a CT native, but even having lived in Houston and Austin, among other quality locations like Austin, I wouldn’t consider the state affordable if the family makes under 6 figures annually.

I use to think CT was expensive. And it is. But then I lived elsewhere and saw other states being JUST if not MORE expensive with the added insanity of filth, crime, traffic, weird/insane people and horrible school systems. I use to get bored of the predictability of CT until I didn’t have that anymore and now I long for a quiet street where I can take walks with my wife or ride bikes with my kids without having to worry about getting mugged or stepping on needles…there is definitely better places and cheaper places, but as a college educated male with a grad school degree, having experienced big city living and other locations CT is actually not that bad. I wouldn’t move to Hartford or Bridgeport, lol, but South Eastern CT is truly a gem. I say even New London is a walk in the park when compared to other locations. If I could, I would say he Carolinas or Virginia (away from DC) is the sweet stop. Utah was also beautiful and fairly cheap until the Californians took over and low key ruined it. Trust me, if you wanna complain about high taxes or whatever else regarding CT, you can try living in CA, CO, NY, NJ or even MA and you’ll change your mind fairly quickly.
Weather and ambiance is key. You don’t deal with fires, mudslides, hail or tornadoes….it’s also not truly a harsh winter location or a extremely hot summer location CT is located strategically between to major cities. It has great school systems and a slower pace of living.
Ultimately, I want my kids to have the calm life I had growing up and that’s why we are moving back and leaving the west for good.
But again, to each their own 🤷🏻‍♂️

There are plenty of nice towns in the state that are affordable. Shelton, Milford, Southington, and Wallingford are a few. If someone has money, but not Westport money, try Fairfield, Trumbull, and Monroe. Also, why didn't Westport at least make the list? As for Greenwich I will give them this, it's nice they have a public housing unit. New Canaan, Westport, and Darien should do the same.

What propaganda!! The so called best places to live in CT are super expensive. So was this video for rich people only? And by the way, the towns that were left out include some of the nicest... Essex was awarded "best town to live in the US" not too long ago. Old Saybrook is a great place to live. There are several other great beach towns east of Branford that are not in the New York suburbs... and they are less expensive than the towns in this video.

From someone who was born and raised in CT, unless you are making a six-figure salary, DO NOT move there. Taxes are high, CT natives are rude, I95 and Route 8 are terrible, the cities (especially Bridgeport) are not safe, and there’s just not much to do. The Foxwoods casino is in the middle of nowhere, no major league sports teams, the beaches look disgusting by the Long Island Sound, and the only decent inexpensive food up there is pizza. I will say the education I received there in grade school was good, but after college I was done with CT. No thanks

I respectfully disagree. I was raised and grew up in south eastern CT. In HS everyone talked about what adventures they would have in college. I decided to take the leap and move west. I attended a top school out west and had a great time but after graduation stayed in various western states only to see that it wasn’t “great” it was just “okay”. Then I got married and started to think about kids….I saw that the once reliable, quiet and predictable life I was running away from in CT was actually AMAZING. If I ever got bored I could just doze myself with some chaos from Boston or NYC. But I never perpetually lived in the chaos so my quality of life was amazing. I felt safe as a child, I didn’t have to worry about stepping in filth. I felt safe as a teen…the most dangerous thing we did was walk along the train tracks towards Norwich state Hospital and try to break in… (lol). It was a boring life, yes. But it was a healthier life. I guess you don’t truly see the blessing of small town community until it is gone. Also, there’s lots to do if you are not a city folk. But if you are….then I get it…it would seem dead to you. One thing that does hurt me a little is seeing the malls closing. That’s sad. But overall, CT is a gem in my eyes. Specially the summers. Can’t beat the New England summers.
Albeit, it I could move somewhere else besides CT it would be the Carolina’s or Virginia. But that’s just me.

The cops should get investigated, and I don't mean by themselves.
    #standwithkedricktheheadtrip
A victim was forced back into a group home because the abusers track the victims' phones, now a crooked cop rapes her for trying to escape the group home. Andrew Lindberg rapes her.
The cops apparently have the highest rate of domestic violence of any "profession".
I (Kedrick the Head Trip ) was subjected to retaliation twice for calling out abusers who tracked a woman's phone to force her back into a group home.
Out of respect for the victim, I won't say her name. The abuse at Gilead Community "Services" is so severe, a woman was forced back there by the predators who tracked her phone. I risked my life to protect her from the police. If not, they would've dragged her into an ambulance. I know she would never consent to any "relationship" with a police officer and that would still be inappropriate even if she claimed to consent. The police are notoriously abusive to women. The abusive staff members allow a crooked cop to exploit an #autistic woman for trying to escape the group home racket and #psychiatry.
    #ibelieveher #metoo #metoomovement #ActuallyAutistic #BlueLivesMurder
Note : I deleted posts with the victim's name in them. I'm not about to desist from condemning the abusers.
A predator with blue privilege (sp?) retaliated.
Andrew Lindberg is at least 1 of the crooked cops violating the aforementioned woman. She can't be unaware of the domestic violence by the police. Therefore, she doesn't consent to them touching her in any manner.
The MIddletown police covered their own asses.
If enough ppl see my posts, Lindberg will be brought to justice.
    @GileadCommunitySrv
The CEO, Justin Salvio, interrupted me to question my intentions to shift the blame to me when I condemned him for abusing residents; including the one I risked my life to protect. He said some crap about the "clients fleeing from abusive male partners" like he forgot that the aforementioned woman fled from a group home again and sought my help escaping the group home racket. I didn't abuse her, the staff members at the group home abused her.
The victim would never willingly side with the predators who track her phone to abduct her and force her back into thr group home racket. They won't let her tell the truth, and neither will Lindberg.
