  • I guess the 32" light bar just wasn't enough, so I also added the 4 LED pods as well. There are 2 spots and 2 floods on the mounting brackets. Mounting them was pretty easy, just a few bolts and they are in. Then it just deciding where you want to aim the lights. I ended up aiming them more out to the sides since I also have the 32" hidden in the bumper. This seemed to provided a greater side shot in addition to the 32" spot/flood combo. I am pretty happy with how bright the pods are, the spots are not quite as focused as I would have liked, but for the price, they are perfect. Thanks for watching, and make sure you subscribe, its FREE!

    nice setup. do you get a lot of wind noise from those ditch lights on freeway?

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  4 года назад

      Umm very minimal, I think people notice a lot more with the 50” bars up top

    Do these make any whistling noise on the highway like when you mount bars over the windshield?

    Do you have to buy a separate mounting bracket other than the one you left in the description if you want to mount 4 pods ? I just ordered the spots, floods, 2 harnesses, and the mounting brackets you left in the description but I’m wondering if you have to buy an extension to mount all four pods, or does the one in the description hold 2 pods each?

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  5 лет назад

      Hey! Yeah, if you want to mount four on there, you’ll need a extension piece. I looked, but couldn’t find one on Amazon. The company I got mine from is called Rago Fabrication. They are pretty solid extensions, you should be able to get them from their website.

    Would I need a second harness then? I have 2x 400w lamps. That makes almost 67A. Unless there is a relay big enough

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  4 года назад

      I’d probably do two, I’m pretty cautious when it comes to electrical work. You could also look into a higher end harness, there may be one with thicker gauge wiring out there that could handle the amperage.

      @@BraxenMcConnell Ok, thanks. I presume that I can hook the two supply wires of the harness kits together and then tie them to the respective + and - for battery connection? If not I might get a pair of lower rated wattage lamps and use a standard 40a relay that comes with the kit.

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  4 года назад

      Yeah, I think you’d be fine hooking them together and connecting them to the same (+) and (-) terminal.

    Awesome video. Not as thorough as the aux beam hidden light bar. So could you be more specific, do you still need to do the fuse thing as well with these ditch lights?

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  6 лет назад

      When you say fuse thing do you mean the relay? Or the add a circuit for the switch? Yes on the relay, and yes on the add a circuit, but only if you want to wire a switch that looks and illuminates like the OEM switches. If you don’t care about the push button switch, you don’t need the add a circuit.

    Does the wiring come with the lights?

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  5 лет назад

      Some have a wiring harness included, but it always specifies if it’s included or not. Usually if there is a pic of the wiring harness with the lights, it comes with a harness.

    Hey man, did you buy two sets of wire/Harness? Novice here. Thanks.

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  5 лет назад

      If you want to have four pods on there then you need two harnesses. I use two harnesses for wiring, but I wired them into one button so that all turn on at the same time

    is that braket that goes on the hood universal or make specific

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  6 лет назад

      The main brackets are vehicle specific, but the extender that allowed me to add two pods to the same bracket is universal.

    • @BuddhaBytes15
      @BuddhaBytes15 5 лет назад

      Braxen McConnell can you link the extender bracket? The one you used to add another pod to the existing Cali raised bracket?

  • @956VasquezIII

    Where did you you get the extender bracket?

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  6 лет назад +1

      The extender bracket came from Rago Fabrication. I think CaliRaised makes one too, but Rago makes them a little thicker, so they are sturdier.

      The mesh and lettering comes from a company called BPFabricating. I found mind on a local classified section though, the guy didn’t want to do the work to install it! I did a video on the whole process, it’s just a few videos back 👍🏼

      Check out customcargrills.com in Michigan. They have really awesome steel mesh grills. Powder coated and any type of lettering you could want. Wish I could put a picture of mine on here for you. I couldn’t be happier with the look. Way better than the plastic pro grill.

    How exactly did you get all 4 pods on one harness?

    • @BraxenMcConnell
      @BraxenMcConnell  6 лет назад

      There is a bracket extender that I bought that allows two pods to be put on each mount
