Never seen this stitch!!! I LOVE IT!!! My Daddy was a Brick Mason. So I love everything "brick"!! Definitely want to make something with this stitch in future project. It looks wonderful. Thx for video!! Austin,TX USA
I like this pattern, simple, easy; I plan to make a cover for a hot water bottle; central heating broke down, and am waiting for estimates and quotes for new system. This pattern will do very nicely. Thank you for sharing it. :)
Ty Donna... I love ❤️ this stitch...you make it look so easy...because of your great instructions..it should be...can’t wait to use this...again ty....
Hi ma'am good morning how are you? Just received your new pattern..so nice and looks 👍 I want to try it out for my shawl . thank you ma'am for sharing.. God bless you always 🌹 bye 🙏
🌹🌹Very beautiful design. Just waiting for my nephew's baby's news in the next few hours. I can then decide to choose the colors as I told them not to tell me if it a boy or girl. I have seen the wool & colours. 🌹🌹
I was wondering if you could use different types of crochet stitches, for example, half double or even double crochet stitch?thanks you do amazing projects
Yes, absolutely! The extended stitch will just need to be extended down a little further. And it could be an extended HDC, DC, etc. to match the rest of the blanket.
Love this pattern how come my elongated stitches have v shape to them I have tried tighter on looser stitch more pronounced going back down row with sc thank you
Here are all the factors to take into consideration when taking a stitch pattern like this and converting it into a blanket: ruclips.net/video/JUbRd3lmzww/видео.html
How do you put a border on that blanket when every brick set has the elongated SC right on the edge. Like you want to add one stitch on each end so that that last stitch didn’t have that Elongated separator there.
You can carry the uncut yarn upwards along the sides and continue using that same color yarn for a few rows later on. This way you don't need to cut the yarn and weave in ends all the time.
For this stitch pattern, you have to start with a multiple of 4 first (for example 28), then add 2 more for the starting chain (28+2=30). A chain of 32 isn't going to work.
This is the pattern im using right now for a blanket. Im terrible at trying to guage how many chains to do for the foundation. Its going to be an oversized throw, 80inx60in. Unfortunately, the foundation is what ended up being the 80in part and the bricks will be vertical and not horizontal. Oh wellllllll. 😅

Can it be done with multiple colour yarn, like cakes ,carron? Thank you.Beautiful work.
You could use a variegated for the bricks and a solid for the mortar or the other way and it would look really great!

Scrap yarn from the stash, most probably Red Heart Super Saver.
@@naztazia thank you!!

❤️💜❤️💜❤️used it making purse worked in circles was a bit difficult but managed it. 30.08.2023
I was just wondering about using it in the round to make a headband...
How do you put a border on that blanket when every brick set has the elongated SC right on the edge. Like you want to add one stitch on each end so that that last stitch didn’t have that Elongated separator there.
Am I right in assuming that at the beginning of a row I actually make a SC in the ch 1 stitch?
You'll make single crochet stitches in previous single crochet stitches. Chain 1s in this case do not count as a stitch.
@@naztazia Thank you very much.
What do you do with the ends you carry up with?
You can carry the uncut yarn upwards along the sides and continue using that same color yarn for a few rows later on. This way you don't need to cut the yarn and weave in ends all the time.
Can I please ask, if I start with chain of 32 should I have 31 stitches after starting on 2 chain on 1st row?
For this stitch pattern, you have to start with a multiple of 4 first (for example 28), then add 2 more for the starting chain (28+2=30). A chain of 32 isn't going to work.
Would someone please be able to answer this asap could you do this pattern in a self stripping yarn
