  • It's not often we get an anime with many adults. Functional adults.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is an anime about many things, bringing many virtues. One of them is maturity. In this video, I explore some traits that can be associated with "maturity" in some characters.

I think that the writer(s) nailed Frieren & the other characters perfectly. If we’re being real, most adults are not mature, but not too immature that they can’t learn and grow. Heiter, when he gets old, worries that he’s never grown up despite raising a young girl. Conversations about maturity and immaturity are very nuanced and complex and this anime nails it perfectly. In the end, we’re either just too perfect to improve upon, or still growing as people even as our bodies have matured.

I do think a lot of teens have wrong understanding of maturity, it doesn't mean you stop being playful, it means you are playfull when the conditions are right.

As someone in my late 30s, I agree fully. During work or professional times, the mature mask comes on. During required times such as any tragedies or emotional upheaval around me like deaths in the family, the mature mask comes on.
Then, outside of that, play hard, party hard. Yes, even with families.

It also doesn't mean being unnecessarily obscene or profane, or that you have to stop liking the things you liked as a child, or that you have to be edgy.

As someone in 30s all I can say is an adult is a one who is able to decide (and knows when to) when to be serious and when to have fun. If you can't have fun then you are just a step from the grave

I can't blame you for your crush on Flamme. I'm right there with you. Gah, she and Methode, man.
Great video! Your analysis are on point.

People aren't ready for El dorado being animated. Also goddess monument arc if both combined into a single season it's going to be one of the best anime seasons of all time

Bienvenido de vuelta, buen video de frieren beyonds end, estaria genial si hablaras de Stark como un posible candidato a usar la espada del heroe, recuerdo que hiciste un short hablando de ello. Saludos.

    Also a thought for you:
Isn't Frieren just an extremely talented autistic kid who decided to leave their own world and try to learn and understand other people?
