Idk why but it did make me feel less lonely and now every time night falls all I feel is the hurt and longingness. Every while I go back to this song, to the love of my life who died in my arms. You fall in love with them and it all flashes by way too quickly. You fall in love with everything about them, you notice the little things they do, you live for the sound of their laughter and voice, even the way they walk or their presence, the simple things. We made this our song one night, we danced to it even though I'm a shit dancer. It's such a cliche but he was my everything, he made me happy and made me feel safe and loved and accepted which I've never felt before from a life of trauma and abuse and I can only hope I made him feel the same way. Getting over it hurts like hell. It's only been 2 years and I'm still not over it no matter how much I try to be or act fine. Little things remind me of him, places, certain foods or drinks that we would always get, songs such as this, every time I Strum a note on a guitar, phrases, smells, even weather and the moon and I want to hold on to the great things about him since I can no longer hold him. I got his first initial tattooed on my hip a few months after he died. The memories never leave and it makes life feel like a few eons. I can't imagine loving anyone the way I did him. I loved and miss everything about him and I guess there isn't much of a point writing this but if you have real and healthy love hold onto that shit and try to not let it go because it can all be taken from you in a matter of minutes, seconds even. A blink of an eye. He used to tell me that if I ever felt lonely I should look at the moon and know he's looking at it too. Idk why but it did make me feel less lonely and now every time night falls all I feel is the hurt and longingness. If you have a great love tell them that you love them more then life (or food if theyre mentally ill lol cuz me too) itself. Don't ever take it for granted I suppose. If you read this someday it's never easy and it will never be easier but push through and thanks for actually giving this a thought.
