This one of the most iconic songs ever written and I never get tired of it being played in football stadiums. I still get chills up and down my spine when I hear those first 4 notes blaring through the trumpet because I'ts impossible to Not ((((!!!JUMP AROUND!!!)))
We’ve friends in Madison and on one of our many visits over from the UK we went to a game a Camp Randell, what an experience. Coincidentally against Purdue…… The whole Jump Around experience is a life long memory, and feeling the upper tier stand wobble under my feet will stay long in the memory.
I’m the one he punched in the face. But I’m not a punk. I tried to be peaceful and when I looked away, he sucker punched me. Guaranteed we meet, he’d recognize me right away. He wrote the song right after that and became a crack addict and had a heart attack. I’m the guy…
'96 🦡 ... Gen X Madisonian here I can vouch we Jumped Around in off campus housing BEFORE the 4th quarter tradition GLAD it happened either way awesome tune fun tradition well done next gen Badgers 😎🫵🏻🦡🧀
WoW never knew that at story. I’m 63 yo and that song still pumps me up. I’m a boxing coach.
Great story! I'm a 1987 alum and just happened to be visiting my daughter that weekend and went to the game...So incredible to be there for this!!!
Thank you Everlast for giving us 30+ years of memories. Not just in Camp Randell but in every pub, bar and pool hall and night club across the globe.

Jump Around came out my senior year of high school in 92 and been a huge HOP/Everlast fan ever since
The four-note intro was taken from a song by the singing group Bob & Earl called the Harlem Shuffle.
I’ve never been in a club that when that song was played the whole club did not go crazy 😂😂😂😂😂
There are some songs that just work really well in an arena: "We Will Rock You," "Pump It Up," and "Jump Around".
Awesome story!
Everlast is still cool as shit!
I bet virtually nobody today knows that the opening clip is a sample from a 1960s song called “Harlem Shuffle”.
Saw the clip on tv...fun tradition.
I think it is fun, but still doesn't beat the more "organic" things that don't need a loud speaker like the best damn band or the Rock Chalk chant.
Great story! Thanks for sharing.

The four-note intro comes from the song Harlem Shuffle by Bob & Earl. They took it from there.
This is cool, man!
Ironically, that horn intro is originally from The Harlem Shuffle
What an awesome story. You can see the twinkle in Everlast’s eyes when that song started playing at the game. ☺️
2024 Happy St. Patrick's Day, We All Irish.
Was at that game.
Drew breeze was devastating until the pick 6
