I first watched this while we were still locked down. I live in Victoria, Australia and our lockdowns were severe and punitive. This clip was a reminder of a freedom I felt would never return. I was there, definitely a cool atmosphere and I’m glad I got out there. One of the best moments though was the stadium was playing “Build me up, buttercup” and the music cut but the student section kept singing.

My sophomore year at Fau we played Wisconsin week 2. I was the starting QB that day I’ll never forget we had the ball driving towards the student section to start the 4th qtr. Seeing 70,000 people jumping around and literally shaking the stadium was one of the most surreal things I had ever seen I couldn’t help but admire it as a college football fan (and a visiting opponent) 😂

I know a guy who was at 11 am Iowa game stayed for the WAVE , left and drove up to Madison by half time of 2:30 game and did JUMP AROUND in same day .. He just want to experience both emotions in same day

I wonder how many high school kids, in Wisconsin and elsewhere, have decided to attend U of W simply from watching one of these videos. My friend's son goes there and he says that as cool as it looks on TV, it is not even close to how awesome it is in person.

I had a very visceral reaction when I first saw this a year ago. I was so happy for these kids. Pure joy watching them return to something normal after the weird year plus we all had been through. I came back to see if it still made me feel that happiness. YES. Thanks Wisconsin.

My sophomore year at Fau we played Wisconsin week 2. I was the starting QB that day I’ll never forget we had the ball driving towards the student section to start the 4th qtr. Seeing 70,000 people jumping around and literally shaking the stadium was one of the most surreal things I had ever seen I couldn’t help but admire it as a college football fan (and a visiting opponent) 😂

I know a guy who was at 11 am Iowa game stayed for the WAVE , left and drove up to Madison by half time of 2:30 game and did JUMP AROUND in same day .. He just want to experience both emotions in same day

I have been to many Badger games and they play jump around at every game and that stadium gets rocking. Yes u can feel it shake. For anyone who has never attended a Badger game. If u find yourself in a position to go to a game. Its not to be missed!!

Even the legendary college announcer Herbie (Kirk Herbstreit) commented to his announcing partner how impressed he was at the atmosphere and good times. Also, iconic SVP (Scott Van Pelt) has declared Madison the best college sports town...along with USA Today and Sports Illustrated amongst others. And it's ranked as the top party school for 40+ years. Playboy used to put out rankings and Wisconsin wasn't listed but as an * at the bottom with them commenting, "We don't rank professionals with amateurs." Hell, the entire state is high functioning alcoholics with us having the most bars per capita than any other state. It's our German heritage.
