    Definition of a Carpenter : a person who makes and repairs wooden objects and structures. I think you qualify, nice job

    I might suggest that an overhang at the door gable end to cover the area when the doors are opened. Helps keep the inside dry in inclement weather. The larger the overhangs everywhere the better.

    You sure it’s not Big Foot that been coming around. LOL. Its coming out great. It was nice how you could stand on the roof of the container to screw the sheet panels on.

      LOL it might be bigfoot you never know, yes standing on the roof helped a lot and better than a ladder

    Awesome Job! Looking to do this to span 16ft from outside edge of a container to inside edge of container (8ft apart from another) My question is how did you account for the tiny 1" lip probably 1/16th inch deeper from the solid beam, to the corregated stuff welded. (looking at planing it) and I am using 4x6's . The tiny lip makes it hard to get it level. Thanks for any advice

    Rafters should sit on top of the wall................not butted up to it. And....beams sit on top of posts...not nailed to the side.

  • @TruckerChick

    Great job! I'm looking to do the same to my 20 footer. How did you bolt the notched boards to the roof? Did you bolt through the roof skin or go into the solid beam at the edge? Thank you for any guidance you can offer.

    Kevin, I have a 45' High Cube shipping container (CONEX) that once I relocate it on my property to a concrete pad, I would like to do what you're doing with yours. I am in the southeastern part of NC and do not have to worry about the snow loads like you. The rains and the hurricane season are another story though. Could you tell me the height of the verticals on the one side? I would like to go out 20' on the shed roof side to have "walk-around room" on my trailers that will be parked under there. You claim to not be good with wood or metal. I wonder what your definition of "good" is? You have done some amazing things in your videos. Those paw prints are of a pretty healthy black bear.

    • @Robinson-Homestead
      @Robinson-Homestead  3 года назад +1

      The high side of the shipping container is 3 ft to the peak.
