The roof and sidewalls are not designed to take any load so if you are adding a deck I suggest you consult with an engineer to design a deck that is self supporting.
Putting pitched metal and gasketed screws for just this purpose is what professional roofers use also. This is a good way to do a metal roof...over anything.

Thinking of add a roof deck to mine. But, I am worried about rain and rain. Is adding a deck feasible, or should I just scrape the idea all together

There's nothing quite like fixing a leak in a container roof like drilling more holes in the roof.

I would've just did a burn down rubber roof on this and you would never have to worry about it again
We wanted to use the free metal laying around our property. This is only a temporary fix until we have a covered awning over it all.
