What brakes did you guys use? Because I’ve been trying to find them everywhere and nobody has any that fit the Nissan kicks model supposedly. Please help 🙏
You are in luck! I got them from Amazon for $35 and will leave the link. The fronts I ordered did not fit so that was edited out of this video. Dynamic Friction Company 3000... www.amazon.com/dp/B097LT8JHN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I didn’t get any lights on the dash afterwards. Auto hold still works and the e brake still works. You may ought to look into the maintenance mode to be sure I didnt just get lucky and not break something. I had a Lincoln Mark VII that had rear pistons that had to be turned too. They weren’t electronic tho.
Teaching next generation repair skills!
Yes ma’am. The younger generation needs to know how to repair things and enjoy the satisfaction of completing the job.
Did you not have to put this in maintenance for the electric e brake system
I didn’t not put it into Maintanence. Learned of the e brake as I was doing it.
Thank you for teaching him.
Yes Bob. Self repair is a dying art. We want our sons to know how to do man things. Thank you for watching.
Can you take a video of removing the disk and how the caliper is mounted? trying to research a 5 lug/ rear disk swap for my 23 versa
Hi Braydon. The vehicle belongs to a friend and isn’t scheduled for service for a while.

Don’t forget to order the piston tool or you’ll be fighting it like I did!
The rear pads are the only one that need the special tool right? The front ones don't need a special tool
That is correct.
@HammerWrench whats the tools names? I cant seem to find those corrosponding special tools from the two mentioned. Its not said in the manual book
@@noheatagent2161 I’ll leave a couple options for ya.

I thought you would need to put it in a brake maintenance mode to not mess up the actuator?
You are probably correct. This is my first electric e brake job. The e brakes still work after a year later.
@HammerWrench do you have any lights on from just turning the piston in. I plan on doing my wife's kicks this way
