Another great video Chelsea. I live in Minnesota so waterless washes inside the garage have become my standard for 6 months out of the year I was really helped by your tip to do the microfiber wipe down first to get the nasty stuff off! My waterless wash bucket was getting pretty dirty by the time I was done so I think that will really help! By the way, it must be nice to be tall enough to be able to reach half way across the roof of a car! I always have to use a step stool! Looking forward to the rinseless wash for wheels video!
Living close to Lancaster, I have the same climate as you. I have really enjoyed doing rinseless washes this winter, sometimes in the garage and sometimes in 40-50 degree conditions. I use the same microfiber process you use...8 sides.
Thank you for the video, I am doing these rinseless washes quite a lot in the winter. I also use the DIY products and for anyone who hasn't tried them I highly recommend you do.
I have an automatic car wash 100 feet from my car parking. After a longer trip in the winter I go to the automatic brushless wash and from there straight to parking.
Great products whose quality I rate with Koch Chemie and other top companies. A lot of products fall apart once they are under fifty degrees for a few weeks and this line does not fall apart. The rinseless wash is special and I use it as my daily cleaner in the kitchen and bathroom too. Great job demonstrating the clay n seal! You do amazing work and thank you for the video!
Great demo, Chelsea! I've really come to love both Ceramic Gloss and the DIY Rinseless Wash. I've done quite a few rinseless washes this winter, and have really enjoyed it. The one part about it I DON'T like is doing the wheels and tires. I've watched a bunch of videos on ways to do this, but I haven't found one yet that I'm really comfortable with. I usually wind up breaking out my hose (without the pressure washer) and just giving them a traditional wash before I do the rinseless on the rest of the vehicle.
I do rinseless at home almost exclusively for a few years. If you have access to a hose then it is just easier for them to wash traditionally I think. Otherwise you can use wheel and tire cleaner and ‘rinse’ off with a pump sprayer with rinseless wash in it. It works fine but just takes longer. Helps if you have a bucket for brushes with some rinseless in it too. In good weather I wash my car weekly but usually just do the wheels every other wash.
Mark I can show how to I rinseless wash tires and wheels. Let me edit it and put it together to show you. When in desperate times (freezing temps) it works really well. Takes a little longer and may not be as good as a hose wash but it’s sufficient
Mark, the easiest I have found with rinseless is this. Mix up 3 1/2 gallons of your rinseless and fill up a manual or pump sprayer. I use a 40 oz pump sprayer and fill it almost to the top that way I don't run out when pre rinsing my truck while washing. Clean the car and when you're done you should have plenty of rinseless left in the bucket for the wheels. I switch to a microfiber mitt, spray the rinseless on all the wheels and clean them with the microfiber mitt, I usually can do a wheel with one dunk and flip the mitt 1/2 way around the wheel. I'll do all the wheels at once then dry. I only need two 12x16 microfiber drying towels for four wheels. This has worked great on my truck with black wheels throughout the winter. I do use sealant on the wheels before the temperature gets 40F and that makes cleaning them much easier. I hate doing the wheels as well, sometimes I'll do the wheels every other week instead of every week with a regular rinseless wash.
@@jayhoughton558 Hey this is exactly what I'm planning to do as well. I'm trying to pin down a process, I have unheated attached garage with a drain. Although I only have plain water in my pump sprayer for the wheel rinse. Is there a reason you use the rinse less to rinse off your traditional wheel cleaner (I use brake buster) vs just plain water? I see other videos do that to but I'm trying to find the point of that. Seems like just a waste of product when you think about it no? I do prespray with rinse less when it comes to the body paint tho don't get me wrong.
Hey Chelsea, great video. Riinseless washes are amazing. It's my go to method on my truck. Quick question... How do you wash your gauntlet drying towels, or any twisted loop drying towels, after using a spray sealant/drying aid. My drying towels seem to lose their absorption capabilities anytime I use a drying aid and leaves them pretty much useless. I use Rags to Riches microfiber laundry detergent and wash ONLY my drying towels together. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Add a touch of white vinegar to your fabric softener along with your rags to riches and it helps your towels get back some absorbency. You can also soak them in a bucket of apc then wash as usual. They can lose some absorbency over time but I’ve found that helps
@@danielfletcher1384 another tip is as soon as your finished with your towel, drop it in your wash bucket. The surfactants in DIY Detail Rinseless Wash will break down any wax , sealant, or ceramic before it has time to cure. Once cured it’s very difficult to revive a towel.
@@diydetailofficial Thanks for the response and your advice! I appreciate it!! I'm currently awaiting my first gallon of DIY Rinseless. Looking forward to using it.
Yes you are right but especially in winter this is my go to. There’s nothing like a classic wash though and seeing all those beads. I use this year round but way more in the winter out of necessity.
Just watched your video on the white rav 4 with artillery fungus and was very impressed. You do an awesome job of explaining what you're doing and why. Earned a sub from me!
The clay towels will not scratch/mar the surface up?! Might have to get one! Haven't clayed/polished/coated my car because my paint is already in good condition so I've been using ceramic spray sealants instead of a coating
Thanks for another great video. Gosh, how I wish I didn't live on a gravel road. I focus on interior detailing of my car, then run it thru a touchless wash for the exterior. Trying to keep the exterior clean is almost pointless when you're two miles from the nearest highway. :(

Well, you should also think about rotating the towel while going through the surface -- so then the dirt part of the towel losts contact with the paint ;) Anyway, good job! All best :)

What do you’d recommend for (Underdog) coated cars under same conditions?
