Born in 79 and a lot of these albums were life changing for me too. Mid 80's was all about Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. My dad has always liked good music and had thousands of LPs when I was a kid. He got me listening to stuff like Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Pink The Floyd just to name a few. Now he owns a record store in Vancouver BC. Also been to many concerts with him, first 2 were Ozzy Ozzmosis tour in 95 I believe and Kiss the next year. By that time I was branching out and finding my own music style. Green Day, The Offspring, All the early 90's grunge and my favorite album of all time Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream.
Love your videos, keep dropping em and I'll keep watching.

I was born in 1980 and grew up on London Calling from my dad's lps. So when I first heard Ruby Soho on the radio I remember saying "Joe Strummer has a new band?! I have to get this band called Rancid!" Well, turns out it wasn't Strummer but this Tim Armstrong guy. It's a great album from Rancid that started my love for them. Funny I thought it was Joe Strummer upon first listen.

That’s a really cool Jethro Tull story Ian, my father has a couple of Jethro Tull albums and my father named me after Ian Anderson too. And Thriller is a epic album.

Great batch of albums Nick nd Ian. All are fine works in there own right. Billie Jean from Thriller would have to be one of the best bass lines ever....❤

Nick , I am going to have to raise issue with your Punk Album video , you appear to have missed vast years of Albums and then proceeded to re write music history . Punk did not start in the USA , I know this will come as a shock but you need to do your homework. You managed to name one British Band but could not resist a swipe at them. Then you named bands like Green Day , Offspring and Blink 182 who are power pop, indeed you have no idea what Punk is , I imagine you were in nappies in 1976 and you were not in the UK. Do not presume to lecture when you are talking totally biased American rubbish.
