I’m 42, no husband, no friends, no social life… and looking back, I realize this is the BEST time of my life. Peace is priceless. Some may judge and think this is sad, but I love it.

Being betrayed by someone you thought was your friend or someone you thought loved you and would be there for you is one of the worst feelings one can experience. It is a hard gut punch.

Happened to me too Bro. My gf. She went from a Dream from Heaven, to 8 months later xa Malevolent Demon from hell. She literally tried to destroy my life, instead she ruined hers, her New bf bailed her out of jail recently. But she's facing 6 felony charges come August. Good Riddance

I have unfortunately gotten this BINGO, and even before all 5 happened I have been a loner. And as they have come to fruition, I have isolated even more. I love it, really. Ive had enough drama and hardship to last a lifetime. Now, at 45 almost 46 I look forward to my alone time to self reflect and not be sucked into the chaos that being around people brings.

Lots of people around is good for hobbyist/enthusiast groups, concerts, sports, and other things that can be social like that.
Nobody around is necessary for getting things done. Especially anything creative, you better not have anyone around because they will interfere any chance they get. Songwriting, building things, hell--just fixing your car. People around will interfere because that's what people do.
I don't know. I'm in the same boat as everyone else here, no wife, no kids, living my life, etc. but my is in her 70s and she is losing the ability to remember things and is unable to open jars, bottles, etc. So I help her out in most these things. I've also lived long enough to see how big targets the elderly are for family/friends attempting to steal their money in addition to scam artists. I'm living my best life right now and it's a long way off, but I'm starting to think if how long I could actually support myself alone as I get older.
I'm 56 years old and I have been alone for over six years now and it's lonely but its a lot better than being used.

Then there is the difference between love and respect (another thing sorely lacking in today's society). But yes, overall, having kids is important for most of us to get fulfillment and a sense of true accomplishment in our lives in the long run. Plus, with so many people choosing not to have kids, we are facing a real demographic disaster that many other countries are already experiencing.
I've found that living this type of lifestyle is more peaceful and abundant financially.

Keep in mind that many people find the alone-ness kind of "peaceful" to be very dull. Granted, a man of maybe 12-16 or older or a woman 25-20 or older ought to be able to amuse and distract themselves and not be dependent on other people's drama and bullshit just to make their lives feel less empty!

I am 38 and as far back as I can remember I have been an outcast. I was severely bullied throughout school. In my adult life, I was hurt and mistreated by jobs and "the system"...I ended up homeless. By the time I managed to acquire some sort of stability, I was well into my 30s and I just couldn't relate to or trust anyone.
Find a good therapist and start working

Understand brother,, I'm almost at the end of the line here getting kicked out of a low rent apartment by an owner who is a prosperity Gospel phony who wants to make more money off illegal immigrants (which I never have a problem with, people come here to get a better life and they should be able to do that)... I haven't been homeless for a long time, I always worked when I could and treated people well and this is what it got me... And it occurs to me, that these worthless pieces of garbage who screw over other people just to get a little bit more money DO have something coming to them, and if he's going to create a person with nothing to lose, well then maybe he should lose something... It seems a real ignorable way to go out, icing some worthless piece of s*** and then exit stage left myself but I really don't have the energy to go through being homeless again... I'm 40 and your story is identical to mine. I joined the Navy though and not Army. Everything else is scarcely similar. No wife, no kids, shy, the few friends I have are all now married and so I don't get to see them very much these days. Keep working on yourself like you are man, I think that's the key. Over the last couple of years I've got myself a Degree and am looking for a better job. I've also lost 120 lbs over the last 13 months. I'm improving myself 1 small step at a time

Your story is similar to a lot of us guys, who have trusted and been done wrong by friends, family, and ex wives or girlfriends. 2017 was my last relationship and after finally getting tired of being rejected and ghosted, I realized the only love I needed came from myself. I'd recommend reading into the Buddhist teachings regarding detachment. It's a great place in life to be happy in your own company, and no longer dealing with shallow individuals, just looking to suck the life out of you.

I am pretty much like you. Society is constantly telling me that I should feel bad and horrible about my situation and that I should hurry to fix it (I guess they see me as If I was suffering from it), but the thing is that I prefer spending my time alone thinking about myself in an introspective/constructive manner rather than having empty conversations with people who doesn’t bring anything interesting to my mind (finding real people to share some real conversations is hard these days). And let me tell you that I am very good because I feel free to act whatever I want without having whole group dictating me what’s good and what’s wrong. I don’t have the need of finding others to give me a “reason of happiness” to my life and that’s a powerful tool. Of course that doesn’t mean I reject all people but only those who act like they suppose to with some sort of constant facade.

I can be social, hang out, conversate, date, but I've always been more comfortable when I'm alone. I've been in several relationships and literally have seen friends come and go. It all amounted to nothing. Now I'm just at peace. I love my hobbies and traveling and I happen to really love my Job/career. I've gotten more accomplished since I've made the decision to just stay single and mind my own business. Thanks for this vid.

I'm 43 and no friends, no partner, and no social life. After being with someone for over 20 years I found that a peace of mind is so priceless. At first I thought something was wrong with me because I really don't have a life. But Im so at peace with myself and Im ok with that.

After watching it, I considered making a similar one but realized I could never top your video. I'm about eight years older than you and have been through the military and a similar life you described. Your storytelling resonated with me and many others. (I can see in the comments. lol) I personally have never taken the time to make a comment like this... Life is indeed a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Right now, I'm doing well with a great partner and a thriving business. Something 8 years ago, I would have told you were crazy if you said I was doing what I'm doing now. Seriously, reduce the TV consumption or moderate it, as before you know it you'll be 40, and single, with no friends... find a hobby, or P/T Voluntary work! Get out there, get away from that screen, "STEP AWAY FROM THE SCREEN" you can lose years at that screen. Your in an important stage of life; the transition into middle age; so prep! All the best.

I went through the family court gauntlet and trust me you are better off remaining single, working in your career, saving money and just enjoying your life. We are in the last days where the love of many has waxed cold and it is just too dangerous for men to take the relationship risk in my opinion. God bless you and enjoy your life.

I’m 35 no wife no children and I love it. My life is peaceful with no drama. I think you may have acquired PTSD from the military dealing with losing your friends in service. In the same position at 23. I don’t really care about socializing and meeting new people anymore. I’ve tried that last year and absolutely nothing came from it other than the realization that people don’t matter that much and I’m on my own in this life. I could live in a farm with my animals and be fulfilled.

I'm 50, divorced. I have no girlfriend. I have no real friends anymore. No social life. Relationships with my original family are pretty strained. I don't like my job, it's stressful and fills me with fear every day. I won't be able to retire until perhaps 67 or so. I live in a run down house because its the only one I could afford in my area of Australia. I'm often lonely but it's getting easier and am getting used to being alone.

I have a couple of business associates I sell my organic produce to. Otherwise it’s just me over here at my little farm left to my own devices. I prefer it this way. I don’t even associate with my neighbors whose property borders mine. A couple from out of state bought the farm that borders mine 2 years ago, I’ve never met or spoke a word to them. lol
I enjoy being alone as well and haven't spoken to my neighbors in years, but don't you think when you're old and barely can move, an start reflecting, you'll feel lonely

I just found your channel. I wanted to reach out and say that my husband was in the Army for 24 yrs and his last duty station was Ft. Campbell KY. After he retired he got a job with a company on post and we stayed in Clarksville for 10 more yrs. However he passed away 2 yrs ago and I had to sell what I had and move. He was 54 when he passed away. I still cry everyday. I am now 56 and except for having to live in my parents attic now I spend all my time alone. I don't miss being with people. I just miss my husband. I realize I will never be able to trust anyone the way I did my husband. He always took care of me and our children. I was always safe with him. I will never trust anyone in that way again. So for me, being alone is a good thing. I wish you all the best. God bless!

@@ksweetist He got the flu and it suddenly turned into what they said was pneumonia and after being in the hospital and seemingly doing better, within 24 hrs he went into cardiac arrest. He had been put on a ventilator even though he signed a form saying not to and within just hours after that he went into cardiac arrest and was put on life support. I wasn't allowed to be with him until he was taken to ICU due to covid restrictions but by then he was already gone. I am still so heartbroken. There is still question on what exactly started this chain of events and I can't get any straight answers.
This makes me feel better, glad I stumbled upon it.

Unfortunately the majority of people are very selfish when it comes right down to it.
There are very few people that would make big sacrifices for others or have some sort of code of honor, most do not have any morals "inwardly", only in front of others for appearance.

The title of this video is the life I'm living, apart from that I am 42. I can't help but think everyday how I ended up in this position. Each day I can see my life passing me by and I can't stop it. No girlfriend or wife or children. I've always struggled with the elements of life that cannot be bought.
Improve yourself. Take on relevant responsibilities. High-value individuals cannot hide from the world if they tried, the world will grab you up like Scorpion in Mortal Kombat lol
I don't know you obviously, but I'd bet my paycheck your ratio of time spent consuming things versus implementing things is in the wrong direction. The magic you're seeking, is in the work you're avoiding

You should see a psychiatrist maybe you have untreated trauma it can make you mentally paralyzed. Get things from your childhood cleared up and any other trauma and it will help you take action on your life

@@BreakingFears Thank you for the advice. My immediate family will tell you I never really came out of my shell. I think my biggest problem is being unable to over come the shame and embarrassment I feel due to the state of my life. My confidence is so low and I just don't what to do to get some self belief.
