I just bought this camera moments ago. I like the comparisons that you did with the stabilization. Those shots gave me confidence that I will be able to walk while doing IRL stream without making my viewers nauseous.
I just got my AKASO v50x and the audio was just fine. I had it pretty close like a vlog and the sound was really good. Better when I was filming from the back and it was even better. So I’m very happy. Watching these videos had me worried, so I’m pleasantly surprised and happy with purchase. 12/30/19
Good to know. I've ordered the external microphone for the V50X, so I think I'll do a new video with some comparisons of audio. In this video, I was about six feet away from the camera, so maybe the V50X microphone just has trouble at larger distances than conventional devices like phone or DSLR microphones?
Thanks, this helped me set my V50x up to record the best possible footage. You are right about the microphone though, I was shocked how awful it was after listening to the first couple videos I recorded with it.
Unfortunately that purple fringe is the reason why I'm waiting with getting this cam (V50 Pro doesn't have it, it has a better image quality). Thank you for your review!
For the price point, the footage looks very good on many reviews, i think i'll treat myself to one, i heard the software update helped with the audio, really excellent review...
AKASO V50-X Update: After much experimentation, I have found that this Camera performs very well with the latest firmware of Nov 2019 except that when using the APP "ACASO Go" or "RoadCAM," the issue is that the soundtracks with either internal or external mics have Pops and Crack sounds. I have not been able to find a workaround for this issue. If you make movies without using the App(s), no problems using this Camera. In this mode, I would give it a 10 out of 10, including video quality (4k) and sound (internal or external mics.) Let us hope they fix this sound issue with their App in the next update
Your cat is adorable and loving that petting session lol. I got this camera for bike riding and to do some small time lapse shots. It's better then my thieye i60e but not by much.
when making your test videos did you happen to have the camera in the protective water proof case? I have the same camera and i am not impressed with my video quality. I have it set to 4k 60FPs EISon, Gyro on and distortion calibration on. I always keep the camera in the water proof case. my images are very "noisy" when played back on my PC. I will try and do another test to see if maybe its just my PC struggling with the 265 encoding as suggested in another thread.
Great video. I subscribed to your channel. I have seen many people complaining about audio sync issue in akaso v50x when recording more than 5 mins. Cam you do a test. Does memory card play a role in audio sync issue?
If you're recording at 4k, that may be about right, I think the battery life is less than 60mins at that resolution. If you're running out of storage before the battery dies, you might try switching from H.264 to H.265 compression as it will save a little space. I've never tried recording continuous live video for that long on mine. I generally use it for getting b-roll type shots for video blogging so I don't usually shoot more than a few minutes of video per clip. You might also try contacting Akaso's tech support if you think there's a problem with your camera, they've been very responsive when I asked questions about mine.
This video includes samples with EIS+gyro, so you can take a look and see what you think. I don't really see any significant difference in video quality with it on.
Hello. I just bought this camera yesterday and I cant seem to get 4k 30fps quality. I was hoping you could message me and maybe tell me what Im doing wrong. Thanks! Quality I mean the shots your getting.
I have all the settings I used displayed at the bottom of the frame. If those settings are not giving you similar quality, it might be a problem with the camera. Try visiting the Akaso website and email their tech support. I found them very responsive when I ran into audio problems on my V50X.
@@steevithak I think my problem is trying to get RUclips to display the 4k option. When I check the resolution on the file its self it displays the 4k resolution. When I upload to RUclips it only shows 1080p as a display option.
@@awesomedad9580 It's probably just taking a long time to render on RUclips. After you upload a video, RUclips starts rendering with the lowest resolutions first and works toward 4k. Sometimes it takes hours before all sizes are available for viewing. Give it several hours and then click the HD gear icon at the lower right of the video to see a list of available playback resolutions. And you'd need to be viewing it on a device with a 4k or better screen.
Do not buy Akaso action cameras. They are rubbish. You can't use it for long. They break down easily. My friend and I bought Akaso action cam from Aliexpress. Mine broken down within a month and my friend's broke down in a few months as well.

I happen to have the exact same inconvenience!
If this v50x have good audio. Then it will the best option for those who are on tight budget for action cam.
Hello
Thanks fort this movie
What is It the "GIRO"
Is It on caméra or do you add à New paternité composent?
Have a nice day
Great, it helped a lot. Though only in 360p.
It takes RUclips a few hours to render the higher resolutions. Try playing it later and you should be able to see high resolutions.
